Suggestive of a bounce from here
Any ideas why this continues to slip? I bought into the original post results drop thinking it was overdone, but now I am wondering!
Given that the Cropper family own some 33.3%, there is plenty of incentive to turn things around.
Revenue down from 129m to projected 103m is not helping SP. Profit is expected to be minimal this year.
Al lot of the fortunes of CRPR hinge on Hydrogen, plenty of other companies are investing in this area now. The delays announced implies patience is required.
I hope and expect an upswing by the end of the year.
Those last word are begining to haunt me now....
Grateful for the heads-up - tucked away some - not really sure why I did it - some itches are just hard to ignore and you give it the benefit of doubt - my horizon is around 3year out so i think it will come good....famous last words...
It says the spread was 500-540p but when I bought just now it was only 510p, which seemed reasonable.
But when you actually trade, the spread is much less than that.
That is some spread to swallow....
Well good price to buy, even if mine show as sell's . I, have bought more than showing on buys make of that what you will
Beat me to it !
Well these have ‘come a cropper’ today - sorry, couldn’t resist. I had these on my watchlist but the price moved up more than I anticipated recently (tightly traded shares do suffer with large swings). One to watch here.
- It's great to have you here! Today, the market is showing a strong rebound. Are you considering reinvesting?
- Your decision to sell at £18 was spot on. However, I heard that Mondi had disappointing results. Could there be any implications for us?
James Cropper has submitted plans to significantly increase the size of its profitable business segment, TFP. The planning application number is SL/2019/0093.
"The SP Performance is Exceptional"
"Is this a lovely place? Are you offering Bed and Breakfast services? ChequeMate is also located in the lakes."
After a brief analysis of Mondi's update, it appears that their profit target may be affected by currency exchange rates and material prices. The drop in share price is similar to CRPR, but Mondi is struggling to recover. However, CRPR's update seems to have resolved the situation for now, and their diversification efforts, such as the coffee cup recycling initiative, are commendable. Further investigation is needed to determine the impact of exchange rates. Currently, my priority is to re-enter the market sooner rather than later. Best regards, DK.
came across this today https://www.jamescropper.com/products/the-mill-collection/papergard
PaperGard technology provides an integrated solution that gives protection to the paper surface for the life of the product, of particular importance for products used in sensitive environments or that are subject to cross-contamination from multiple handling. The use of anti-microbial paper technology is highly effective against pathogens such as MRSA and E-coli, reducing the risk of build-up of harmful organisms 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Recent testing by an independent laboratory has also shown its viral efficacy against Feline Coronavirus, showing a reduction in viability of 95% within two hours.
Feline Coronavirus and COVID-19 are members of the Coronaviridae family of viruses which cause a broad spectrum of animal and human disease. This group of viruses are enveloped and rely on a protective lipid coating and are amongst the easiest types of virus to deactivate. Biomaster® has yet to be tested against COVID-19 on product surfaces and currently there is not yet a suitable method validated for COVID-19, however the result clearly demonstrates the antiviral efficacy of silver ion technology against a member of the Coronaviridae family.
Gearing seems high but, a post covid surge would possily see this back to 1200 ish, watching in the wings.
Has not been a post here for almost a year.
New build well on the way. Old warehouse down, new warehouse going up and roadworks to new factory going well. Great to see everything going to plan and on schedule. Can imagine 5th machine soon to be given the ok before the 4th machine is in. Just hope they can keep up with the growth of their customers. ( So much potential at tfp )
James Cropper submit plans to nearly double the size of the major profit making part of its business TFP. Planning application SL/2019/0093
Only a small hiccup, they'll be back soon enough. A great management team with even better business plans.
Wow, results a bit of a dogs dinner - and the £3.5m Pulp prices increase has totally stuffed them - and hence the halving of the Sp this year.
Shame really as a good company and TFP doing really well otherwise, with some truly "World-Class" products being produced for the Defence Industry.
Good time to buy on a longer view - although it will never be taken over, due to the high historical Family share ownership.
IMHO. DYOR. GLA.
Dalekid, i dont think crpr rise by 10x over last 5 years or so was due to coffee cups. It been an amazing run and crpr have some nice clients in the psper industry, being specialist in their trade. But the paper is not the reason for the climb. That will be the new technolgy. Your partly right though about exchange rates. Better shares out there to make money on now. Atb
