Hi Know0, nice post. I hope you're doing OK.
I totally agree with you. How come that an hedge fund can open a sub 0.5% short in the UK on any available stock and only the Fca gets to know privately about it? I strongly believe that this is a form of authorised market manipulation with the blessing of the Fca. No stock should had been subject to been Shorted during their business government enforced lockdown. However, they could open their shorts once the businesses were back in full operation. The Fca is a farce of inept untouchables that have immunity from prosecution. I hate them with all my hurts.
In the meantime, here some great news from Ireland.
Take a PILL to ward off Covid? Irish firm is in 'advanced' stages of creating tablet that stops the spread of coronavirus, Deputy PM Leo Varadkar revealed. Ireland based MSD Pharmaceutical are in the 'advanced' stages of producing a tablet treatment for Covid-19, Deputy PM Leo Varadkar told his parliamentary party on Wednesday night.

Dannyspaniel, Unless the trading statement does not bring good news...
The sell of by hedge funds to cover their shorts losses will only be temporary
They will be needing to buy back in for the rise - its short term cash for their calls
Great work by Flash Mob to hit the hedge funds, but we all pay for a short period
My hope is hedgefunds control the levels of their shorts - they are being over greedy with joint manipulation with the MMs
Funny thing was the shorters in GameStop complained to SEC that flash mob manipulated the price - pots and kettles come to mind!

Market recovering, should be 36+ soon
Capita is a trading stock at the moment, that’s it, until the next trading statement.Fortunately it’s now 35p and not £2, so if you are patient then you should be ok if you hold the shares. I wouldn’t spread bet anything this volatile though. Made 4.5% net of charges in 24 hours, and still hold the same amount of shares. Just an opinion though!!!
Wow we are 36.5 in this down market & already looking very strong for the day.
CPI 36.53 +0.25 +0.69%
this was on the cards for today ,
soon CPI could be 40p
Cine will go bust. Be careful!
We are still very strong in last 2/3 days compared to the market.. if the FTSE later today becomes positive, a good chance for us to close positive.. long term strength very strong
The GameStop saga has taken an unexpected twist, with shares plunging after an investor forum on Reddit closed temporarily.
Cine worth a trade this morning?

Be there or be square. See You At 8am sharp. Knifes already out for the gutting of the shorters as the face the sunrise.

Yeah just read about it now. WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! That's what I call give it to the man! Wish I was following that sub Reddit, I am now!
A “short squeeze” that started on Wall Street swept across the globe on Wednesday, triggering another day of frenetic moves in the share prices of companies with large bets levied against them.
companies including GameStop, the hard-hit cinema owner AMC and BlackBerry surged in a volatile day of trading.
The dramatic moves highlight the growing influence of retail traders, who have organised on the message board site Reddit. The group has focused on pushing up stocks that are the subject of large short bets by hedge funds. Their success in rallying the stock price of GameStop has vindicated a group now targeting companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
