Anyone have any better knowledge of what's happening in Mali/Senegal than what can be scraped from Google?
Bought some to round up my holding and lower the average price slightly. Hoping this returns to higher prices one day.
Yep for now! Russ gaining the favours!

What happens if they increase the staff, same applies, what gives.
Pure conjecture.
Harry personally regardless of the cutting of staff (if that happened) looking at where we are im already majorly concerned about my investment here and sitting at a major loss as all this share has done nothing but decline since i bought in.
I fear is the Mali government dont issue permits to dig Cora and other mining companies in the same position could be in real trouble.
If they start cutting down on staff how bad is it? Is there anything to worry about?
At some point permit suspension will be lifted and things will start to take off. I just wish it's very soon š¤
Same here Paris, let's just hope it doesn't get worse!
Tumbleweed springs to mind, sp painfully dropping towards 2p, less than 2yrs ago this was almost 10 times this. Is this company incompetence or Mali government / bureaucracy incompetence. Possibly both, either way it needs sorting for both parties to benefit.
No options for me other than hold probably into 2033 š¤ā¹ļøā¹ļøš“š“š¤š¤
Looks like a lot of us will be hanging on in here due to the losses incurred , the Mail Government and political unrest causing carnage with the SP here for a long time. Im also surprised with the RNS, whilst very positive I cant see any other way other than just to hang on in here until government offical's finally sort this whole mess out, who knows this could end up still years away at the rate it has been going!
You'd think. However the govt of Mali are taking far too long with this. I'm waiting until I see proof positive they have a production license!
Well funded - just waiting for Mali to lift the licensing application pause.
This share will then rocket.
Rule of thumb always do the opposite when someone on these platforms tries to give investment guidance. 9 out of 10 times you've made the right decision.
Does not sound good then for us whom have already invested. Unfortunately I bought in at the wrong time and will just have to sit and wait for them to finally get permit to dig for a mine.
Cora Gold Limited, the West African focused gold company, is pleased to announce that, further to the announcement of 06 February 2023, it has conditionally raised US$19.843 million, comprising both equity (the 'Equity Financing') and convertible loan notes (the 'Convertible Financing') (together the 'Fundraising'), subject only to the passing of the resolutions to be proposed at a General Meeting of the shareholders of the Company on 28 February 2023.
The funds raised will be primarily used to commence development of the Company's flagship Sanankoro Gold Project (the 'Project') in southern Mali following the reported Optimised Project Economics (announcement dated 21 November 2022), which highlighted strong economic fundamentals.
Binding commitments have been received for aggregate investments of US$19,843,169.26 pursuant to the Fundraising comprising commitments to subscribe for:
-- 80,660,559 ordinary shares of no par value in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of US$0.0487 per share for total gross proceeds of US$3,928,169.26 in respect of the Equity Financing; and
-- convertible loan notes ('CLN') convertible into Ordinary Shares for a total of US$15,915,000 in respect of the Convertible Financing,
There's going to be rather a lot of dilution. Hence nobody buying. IMO.
Paris - Tony
Thank you for your responses very much apricated along with no one can make the decision but yourself however the worrying factor i had the other day is if its such a bargain why are there people selling and no one really purchasing.
Whilst i appreciate the sentiment on point of issue regarding the Mali government i was just starting to get conscious why isnt anyone buying in at this level.
Stocktow - worth reading the latest from Bert - he is now more confident the licensing will happen.
Bert Monro, Chief Executive Officer of Cora, commented, "Following the recent promulgation of a new Mining Code in Mali, we look forward to the government's lifting of its moratorium on issuing new mining permits such that we may, in due course, progress application for a mining permit over Cora's flagship Sanankoro Gold Project. In addition, we look forward to providing progress updates on the funding of the Sanankoro Gold Project following the appointment of Atlantique Finance to act as sole adviser in the structuring and mobilisation of a medium-term loan of US$70 million in CFA franc ('XOF') to support funding the development of the project (see RNS dated 28 June 2023)."
There is a very good reason for the prolonged drop in SP Stocktow, the Malian government has put a moratorium on new permits, until this ends Cora cannot
progress its mining permit application for its
flagship project Sanankoro. Its all in the last RNS.
looks like its a waiting game, hopefully resolved soon but the delay is not good for the SP that's for sure.
I think it's Malian government just ensuring they get what they want and deserve for having these resources ( in abundance hopefully š).
Good luck whatever you decide
I'm just seeing this in decline and wondering should I cut my losses and run as it just keeps going down and without much reason?
Also helps foreign owned African mining companies now Prigozhin is out of the way!
You would think they can't be far off giving out new licenses again now. The purpose of the close was to mull over structure and ways they (government) could increase income from mining ventures.
The new policies allowing the country to purchase up to 35% of a company have been approved by the wider government and so, surely the doors must open again soon.
Cora was a tad unlucky with the timing tbh.

now new mining code is in place, maybe just maybe they will start issuing new licences soon....š¤
He was briefly at Hummingbird in the same role before disappearing. Not sure why though...
