As I recall 1p canadian equates to around .68 over here. Fingers crossed!
I bought in only relatively recently (compared to many) at an average of .009 so I was up 4-500%. I hadn't sold any until today as I admittedly sold a small amount of about 1.4 million simply as Ive been watching others shares I want to be invested in rise fast and It was right for me to realise my initial capital and some gains.
That said I still hold multiples more than I sold and will be holding longer term with those. It seems to be a no brainer. I totally agree the deal is great and from where we were originally to now Art has certainly proven to me he can make a deal. I personally think he has played a total blinder here. It was check mate and he has strategically managed to get a great outcome. Pretty rare.
It's exciting times with the further news to come. I must assume that some placing shares are propping up supply side ATM Shane no tie in but hey can't have it all!
GL all
Agreed Yacht - this under radar beast is getting ready for its next level valuation. We all know that there is a serious disconnect between a £20M MCap and legal rights on a field with potentially billions of barrels (up to 15% option ownership).
Art has delivered.
I believe as an investor you may come across a ‘once in lifetime’ share, buying at/near bottom and it flying up massively.
I will say no more.........
There is only one way this SP is going over the next few days, weeks and years and that is up. They never go up in a straight line. 10 steps forward and 2 steps back. Look how far we have come from 0.035p about 3 months ago. Who would have believed this would happen. I thought we would still be chasing finance. Unbelievable progress.
Agree, with the drop today we had continued buying, I am expecting the logical path the MM’s will take is to take the SP up encourage some selling and more buying.
Yes Shaa, they adjust the spread to create a false mid price.
Market makers do the same job as an estate agent. They match sellers with buyers and charge a margin as their commission. An estate agent doesn't own houses themself in the same way a market maker doesn't own shares.
Thanks guys, what I was getting at was if buying is for example at 0.46p, MM’s will have Bid at 0.45p and the Ask at 0.49p, way over what the real buys are at, knowing Buys will show in Red on the reporting platforms.
Also another myth is that market makers hold loads of shares. They hold a small amount to cover their obligations. Otherwise their job is to match a buyer with a seller.
Keep the informative posts on Canada coming CawCaw, most useful.
Yes it is the London Stock Exchange that cannot decipher whether a transaction is a buy or sell. The system has a guess based on the mid price. Nothing to do with market makers. All the market makers can do is delay showing trades which they are very good at doing. Even so there are rules on how long they can delay showing a trade.
1 Canadian penny close today on the CSE will get the attention of some over here. The Canadian oil company that released news on Tuesday and doubled in price on Wednesday. Where is it going? What are its' prospects?
Glad to have as many eyes as possible reading about OPL226, Essar, the lack of debt, the $25MM invested in geology and geophysics, the Karims. It's the stuff of a novel, really.
The ground floor in Canada was half a (worthless Colonist's) penny and that may be gone now. One can dream
I think it is the LSE that shows some buys as sell not the MMs. I guess someone with your experience should know that. It is a standard statement in every bb when the sp goes down.
decent day on this side of the pond ,closed at .01 cent canadian with ok volume ,lets see if we can amp that up in the next couple days ,really seems to be a huge interest , just who pulls the trigger first
Constant buying last night also today despite MM’s playing games and showing buys in red. I know this as I always keep £50 in my trading account for dummy buys/sells and every time we had a sea of red and I did dummy buy trades and the price I was quoted was the supposedly sell price at the time.
I feel we are right at basement, I am looking forward to a couple of good days on here even without an RNS.
