Firstly a sterling effort of monumental proportions by CAG ... goodness talk about taking on Goliath, as a holder who has lost a great deal of money thank you 🙏
I personally wish to accept my losses and to a degree (hindsight) with the way things played out in the last six months my own error of judgement.
Hope and reality can be very different animals but equally as wounding.
Thank you Cag for all that you have done for all, however for me personally whipping the dead horse is for me neither feeding hope to the bereft.
How about something positive and how we can learn from this mistake? All Aim shares are notoriously risky, however each one of us must have had 'that' doubtful moment, I had several.
Shall we share those as a learning curve to each other?
Best
Very mixed feelings here. New poster is suspicious to me but may be genuine. Disappointed a fee has been requested contraray to what we thought. However I had to hawk my own employment case around the nwnf solicitors and they all refused to look into it unless i paid around 2 to 3k for assesment except for one. Only then would they give me a yes or no so nwnf does usually cost if its complex.
What i would like to know is will this be the only payment required.we cant get into a situation where we are paying at each stage.
We need to know that the case will be indemnfied and the insurer will be picking up the tab win or lose.
Cotter will need to be at 65% +chance here to take the risk.
From what I gather, Cotter is doing it on a No Win No Fee arrangement, however the first stage needs third party services such as Kings Council, etc which obviously needs to be paid for. Obviously the more who join the Class Action the cheaper it is individually, I believe the Zoom meeting will spell everything out beforehand so everybody knows what to expect such as costs, timescales and the chances of success.
The earlier message from RBM stated Cotter had agreed to a No win No fee arrangement.
What's changed.??
Not happy at all. No guarantees. Could be throwing more good money after bad
I've been scammed out of £27000. That's quite enough thankyou!!!
Finished 335 percent up today. Wish that was real on Google. Never understand it. Last week went down and its not trading must be just a glitch?
My first ever post.
Feel so sorry for those investors that are now going to find it difficult to commit more money in an attempt to claw back at least some of their losses from these evil people.
My wife and I are also sitting on a huge loss that has, at least for now, completely changed the
course of our lives.
Although we are approaching our mid sixties, we are fortunate to still be in good health and, in an attempt to rebuild, we have re emerged from an early retirement to start up a new business.
We will do our best to survive this outrage.
We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to RBM, Stas and all the others who are helping /
have helped to keep our spirits up in these dark days.
All the best to everybody caught up in this.
A.S
Based on the facts in the RNS the class action will 100% result in a pay out. The RNS camnot be modified and its all there in black and white. lie after lie after lie. There cannot be a way that the class action can fail based on the facts. the directors have the money.
Tonlin, I understand I guess the question is if you don’t you 100% crystallise the loses or pay a small amount to have a change.
My advice as mentioned by others is sign into the zoom calls, listen, and then make a decision as I assume 1 question everyone will ask is “what are the chances of a successful outcome” and “how much is it costing you/your company to support us until the decision” as they will help people decide.
For me personally the money is ok as I just want all the information out in the open regardless of result.
I will be paying in, I think I'll be more gutted if I didn't contribute found out later down the line I could have got my money back
Wish I could confide with my parents, they given me good advice throughout my life but now they are elderly I don't think they will handle it to well, now's the time I need them the most
Carbon capture was the dream, it will be a dream to get our money back and string theses bas***d's up
We the investors 80 years plus lived through the late 1930s - 1940s on just the basic of food worked hard and saved money only now to have it taken from us by people who never lived through the WW2 years - yes you people who made this situation will never understand what we oldies went through during those years so think about what you have done here to all these poor individuals whose hard earned money has now gone because they cannot pay for fees for a situation not created by them the investors in COPL.
No money,,broke, very seriously ill,how I'm still alive, just a miracle,am holding 1/2 million shares, there is no chance arthur will read this,I wish you all the worst, you evil man, can't afford any money, but I'll keep hoping justice will happen
We the investors, the people who believed what we were advised by the management of COPL
and bought shares in COPL should not IMO have to pay for who created this MESS. Like others in their 80s I simply cannot afford to pay any money e,g, £100 - £300 and this may be only the start. The request for this payment should come from the persons who engineered this situation and not the investors. I have lost a lot less than other pensioners of my age so I guess I can say goodbye to the money I have invested here. What a sad situation. I do feel deeply for those individual who have lost all of their savings it is heartbreaking.
Agree, if they are so confident, then give us a percentage take on a win !!!
I think we need clarification on what costs, and from whom, are no win no fee.
AND what costs might we be expected to be paying £500 per hour ...!
I have received my email with info and will certainly be proceeding to try and get justice from this shower for all the sleepless nights caused and Thousands lost!
I'm with you Duster. Willing to pay but need some kind of reassurance that we will get something back. I would also like to know expected timescale as, like many others, time is not on my side.
Chick.
Hello RBM
I have not received any confirmation from legal team so far but this is to confirm that I am in
No fee for Mr Cotter. He needs to pay for additional legal advice.
We all know that we have been robbed and we want our hard earned back at least 😮
I am willing to pay towards legal costs - however before I do I would like to know a) what the % chances of legal success is , b) if successful then what is the chance of actually extracting £m's from the robbers.
As these culprits are very cunning foo. Kers that probably will have most of their assets / money hidden and in family members names 🤔😮.
But I am certainly willing to pay my share if have reasonable / high chance of success.
I guess the law firm involved think we have and are not thinking that we are suckers and here is a nice little earner for them - I don't think that's the case as they are respectable Lawers, so this kinda looks like a no brainer really 😲
LET'S GO GET THE BAR STEWARDS!!
Just logged on.
What's this about a cost to Mr Cotter.
That wasn't how I read a No win. No fee
I've lost £50k. I believe our case is v strong so to chip in 1% to stay in the game seems reasonable.
Thing is, I don't just want my losses back. I want a fair share of the company I invested in. I hope this is what the class action is all about.
I've lost £50k. I believe our case is v strong so to chip in

Idiot I sent mine , to coplsharewatch ,corrected Now .GLA
I think people are a little bit shocked as there is a costs associated with the 'no win, no fee'.
Ultimately, it is on Mr Cotter to advise via Zoom what the steps are, why there is a fee and will the costs be capped, timelines, targets etc. I am assuming a lot of the due diligence has already been undertaken.
The estimated losses will be far in excess of £11m - That's based on a average of £25k a person, in reality it will be much higher.
I would advise ALL COPL investors to attend the zoom meeting before deciding to NOT pay the £100-300 fee. It's only a small percentage of your losses and doing nothing will certainly result in your losses being crystalised.
