The level of shares already issued as I said in late July I expected what has since occurred
only did not think it would take this long to clear the overhang, looking at old RNA messages
last night back to last summer , other warrants also lurk ed in the background from previous
placing so that is probably the extra volume churned with the 0.26p warrants and 0.32
placing and ex owner in the mix ?
He keeps saying moving up in the world and he has been there before be it a long time
ago all we can hope for is he has now attracted those upper tier investors that will help
grow the company not stifle it
success is based on rising market cap from a solid share base making the sp fluid
MC £50M Sp 0.32p next year MC 100M sp 35p abject failure
MC £50M Sp 0.32p next year MC 350M sp £2 plus = the boy done well
"Remember the share price 12 months or so ago??"
You're joking right? SP 12 months ago (when we were broke and dying) was was the same as today. When we are producing thousands of net barrels per day at a ~$30 USD netback.
That's the point: All these mechanics create value for others. While leaving retails to suck the hind tit.
We have apparently benefited zero from 12 months of effort, and hundreds of millions in net asset value increases. Our holdings are worth the same .3ish as they were in September 2020.
More share printing = more diversion of value away from LTH's
Why more people can't see this I don't know. It's like a cult.
@Postie consolidations are supposed to happen when the SP is robust and moving upwards, so that they are a sign of expansion and success. If they happen when the SP is languishing and the company is losing money, aka now, they look like a sign of desperation. And the market tends to react accordingly.
100/1
Slightly surprised by the levels of 'outrage' when we all knew this was probably happening.
Quite happy with this - like it or not, he's a man with a plan.
Remember the share price 12 months or so ago??
I just listened to the interview with Zak Mir again. If there's forward selling going on that Art knows about, he is very, very convincing when feigning incomprehension regarding the share price. Might not be that at all.
Why all the panic?, we all new that this was going to happen at some point.
Quote from hopingforbags:
Or again could just simply be to make more attractive to upper tier REAL II's to
INVEST and support the companies plans , not lend and stifle (wonga/dumper)
the SP while the market cap keeps growing
Why can it not be as simple as that???
LB agree and it's the usual lots of if buts and maybe's
If he has a deal in place with a direct equity INVESTOR would not be surprised
if the announcement comes after news has staged a price recovery so the
mushrooms are happy, we sit at say 40-45p
Arty we are delighted to announce ............ the direct equity new investor taking
x % of the company and we look forwards to working with NEWBIE over the
coming years as we implement or company growth strategy ,,,,,,blah blah
Then the kick in the nuts ............ NEWBIE has invested Y million and Z shares
have been issued at 32p determined during early negotiations in September
BAR STEWARDS
The investor given an instant cushion above their threshold and a bottom placed
on that threshold £50m MC
:))
Evan
as one who takes zero notice of sp it's a short term measure and with shares in
issue at any given day , year , decade a function of Market Value which is the
only key metric on any share
MC on consolidation £50m as it is currently
No further change in share base and 0.32p becomes 32p
The big difference is if we raise £10m its another 3,125,000,000 shares to flush down here
versus if more up market clients await 31,250,000 at 32p which can be quickly flushed
or taken as a direct equity investment in the company by an Investor planning to stick
around not dump dump dump like the YA/RGO and Hardons of the market place
One looking for organic growth and dividends the other not giving an fcuk about
the company or its prospects just their own margins and exit agenda
:))
Hand on heart as posted earlier , no way of knowing until we know the
Why is the consolidation taking place suddenly right now
Who is involved
What is it expected to achieve and how
To attract Sticky real investors or more placing to his wonga mates
To speed up development of assets or make another AQ
Direct equity investment in company by a new core investor
Just for ****s and grins and to **** a lot of people off
Without more details god know ,the Artster not feeding the mushrooms
as usual until he want to lol
:))
So the SP is crap but honestly what is the problem with business?
HFB can you honestly say this is heading in the right direction ? Arts screwed us PI as per !! Iv held this long but so tempted to pull the plug Mon am it scares me where this is heading !!
No Evan just Wyoming has been invaded by partying Oil guzzling Alien blobs
from the planet whatthefcuk and we are all going to be screwed , hopefully
not by the blobs lol
:))
and exactly m8 , the oil is flowing more each day at our asset worth multiples of current
market capital on a resale value just for reserves lol
MC remains on the ground floor, be it we have 15.6 billion shares or 156.4 Million next
month
Shaa will be delighted to be typing 1p increases in the share price not 0.01 moves lol
I can imagine some CEOs, on the verge of success, aim to share out the spoils with as many cronies as possible at the lowest possible cost to them, leaving as little as possible for private investors. I really hope it's not like that.
as said we are on the cusp of £50m MC in London if he wants real Investors
to support the companies growth he's not going to get them dropping
below this level
If he has cracked it with an upper tier REAL INVESTOR would imagine the current
antics holding around 0.32p will after we get news and rise , he will give a typical
rna message WE ARE DELIGHTED .........deepmoneybagsareus have taken a direct
15% equity interest in the company ,,,,,,,, x million shares to be issued to the new
core investor raising proceeds of y millions for the companies ???????? use
:))
Caw Caw. Yes agree with all you say. What is equally shocking is that we are not in the least surprised. It's Art's way to be economical with the truth LOL
CawCaw, you certainly have a point.
Have the wells stopped producing?
Though on the Canadian XOP board a regular poster, usually positive, is saying worst case it will fall to .2 in London. Which worries me.
https://ceo.ca/xop?77107c4aae18
Lethal if he is not playing with the wrong crowd , then we should not drop lower
as LB posted several times this week they seem to have made a floor here
and I posted the unusual amount of intra day UT trades setting the trend to keep
in this range
Our MC is just over £50m the upper real II's if you have a read around same with many
funds have an investing criteria listed and commonly amongst them is the investment
in companies with growth and dividend potential and a steady Market value over £50m
If he is talking to the right crowd they will not want it to drop as many of those same
companies stringent on their policy and if the Investment drops below their threshold
will drop like a hot potato
Hoping is Hoping he is finally in with the right crowd and they want to see a more marketable
looking share 156m not 15.6 billion confetti shares , dividends in pence not fraction long term
potential for growth , Copl now ticking all those boxes
Now we wait and see WHO if a placing coming is involved , a direct investment in the company
for equity , not a placing, warrants or cln's to be quickly dumped would be a massive signal to
the market
The name and their history will signal we are on our way and a great consolidation move or
ffs Arty up to his old tricks again and here we go again deja vu mark 2 lol
:))
LOL "solid company" behaviour: Doing a 100:1 share consolidation for no published reason, during a time of extreme share price weakness.
Then not telling your shareholders, and letting them find out "through the grapevine" via form letters from their brokers. At a time when some can still trade, but other have their markets already closed for the weekend.
As solid as the day is long.
Essentially anything that happens at this stage seems to me part of an attempted transformation from a sketchy to a solid company.
Hopefully there won't be short term pain for us though, but as hopingforbags says, the share price is a function of the market cap, and the market cap shouldn't be diminished if based on production, assets and so on, rather than purely speculative potential as I expect is the case with companies whose share value is damaged by consolidation. And even an acquisition and dilution might actually be well received by the market if it's of good value... the messed up way we found out might not be received well however, but I suppose we will see.
Please correct me if you do know of examples where the market cap reflected the consolidation rather than the company's good health?
@Shaa this is multiple brokers, all publishing in their own syntax.
If there had been a mistake, we would have a breathless press release from Art by now.
(Art, whose inbox is probably overflowing with "love notes" about this latest surprise.)
The silence speaks volumes.
The leap straight to 100-1 from UP TO does suggest he now has hard and fast
figures in mind for something we are yet to be made aware of , hands up who's
shocked Arty pulled a flanker lol
The only question that remains to determine if such a large consolidation worth it
will be how accretive the funding spend is to the company , another steal of a deal
fast track deep drills etc
Or again could just simply be to make more attractive to upper tier REAL II's to
INVEST and support the companies plans , not lend and stifle (wonga/dumper)
the SP while the market cap keeps growing
The uppers will want to keep a large percentage of the company with a view to
growing their investment and potential dividends, not in their interests to keep
the company under the thumb, they like us want a rising price over each year
brought back only once or twice a year when dividends cut off day, initially
drops MC by the amount of the declared dividend before a recovery
:))
WE have the weekend to talk this out. Just woke up to read about the consolidation news. I'm in favour in principle. Too much confetti flying around in the breeze makes us a bit of a joke in the eyes of ii. Whatever surprises Art has in store for us in addition
,we are now going to be a 'proper ' share. Thank the Lord for that.
Knowing Art there will be a downside short term but for those young enough to live a few years more ,they will prosper.
I feel in spite of everything Nigeria may yet rescue us all. That will change everything and be even more transformational than Atomic and Cuda combined Let's see what Monday brings
You turn the screw on Cuda, you don’t bail them out. Concentrate on the core business, build it up and grown a viable business first and foremost. It makes zero business sense to acquire them in their current state. A lot of hysteria here, let’s see what happens. Its not how you do business if you have ambitions to be a major player. Have a good weekend all.
We are Not talking Union Jack Oil here. I can understand the reservations with a consolidation but essentially COPL is producing sensible revenue and its fundermentals appear attractive.
I got out of UJO years ago because the whole project looked like pie in the sky and the company consolidation just added to the drawn out fiasco of never finding oil.
Good evening all.
