Care to elaborate ?
Lol this gave me a good laugh. I'm also an "accountant" and this might have been the dumbest thing I have read all month.
I never was any good with feelings and empathy. Probably why I was good as a killing machine for HM.
Great and logical answer but it's how people feel that matter and people want their mortgage paid off.
So your comment is absolutely correct but also missing something.
As an accountant, paying off the mortgage is not necessarily the best thing to do. A mortgage is usually your cheapest loan especially at the moment. Certainly pay off credit cards, etc. Each to their own though.
Because some of them are talking in absolutes when almost everything written and surmised is based on speculation and there are people who will naively be influenced by this and get their hopes up only to be dashed.
Frankly, regardless of whether a companies shares are suspended or not, I find it baffling how so many people on these types of boards have nothing more valuable to do with their time.
I have 12M+ shares at a reasonable average so I want this to come good as much if not more than most but no matter what I write I have no control over what will happen so I, as is everyone else, am a passive observer until the share is trading again.
Very clever and well qualified people, using the information available have done their best to predict how this share is likely to perform on Relist and beyond I respect most if not all of them.
Why criticize them? Everyone he re e is anxious to know how their investment will perform.
What is this BB for if it's not to discuss all the various options and outcomes for a Relisted COPL?
Anyway not long to wait now before speculation gives way to reality.
I feel that this week will reveal the news we've been waiting for. G l a
Your comments would have more merit if people were able to buy or sell right now but they can't.
The share is suspended, all we can do is talk.
My god there is some amount of pish being posted on this board now. All these people talking in absolutes about minimum relist prices and the pub oilmen and city brokers with their simple calculations proclaiming the future price based on fag packet calculations and hope.
For anyone just reading and not contributing to the echo chamber, please don’t pay any attention to the relist prices being quoted here as if they are fact. The reality is nobody knows what the price will start at or be in 6, 12 or 24 months. The market is broken so fundamentals mean next to nothing. The companies being used as a comparison are the exceptions that have, for whatever inexplicable reason, been bought into on internet hype rather than rational decision making so making comparisons with them is ill advised at best and foolish at worst.
Go easy peeps, is quite natural for there to be doubts when selling off too early. Prioritising paying off the mortgage is paramount.
That then though creates its own dilemmas..
Similar to taking advantage of a bed & ISA, your bricks&mortar investment then follows to a bed & interest only mortgage, when the bankers clock the size of your wad.
Spending 10% of gains on indulgences may be the way forward, but then taking a 100k motor (F Type R) dancing on ice followed by ploughing a few trees is perhaps not too wise either.
Learn to enjoy what you have and if it means exiting at 2p then do it. Respectfully.
Andy himself is the only person who has used the word "idiot".
Andy can I ask who used the word IDIOT for selling out early?
What a fortunate position all us locked in investor's are. There's no doubt everyone of us will make alot more money here than what we invested initially, how much more will depend on our own circumstances and investment plan. Be happy with your own decision is all I can say. We have moved from a tinpot exploration company to a producer, the risk has reduced the rewards have increased. All of us will have made ourselves and our families a lot happier, after all that is what it is all about isn't it. The future is bright with COPL and for all of us. Good luck, happiness and health to all, whatever your decision
I second that Legin, if people need money then fair enough.
IMO, if investors wait 90 days the worst case scenario will be the SP is re-list price and they won’t lose out and best case could be astronomical.
I think it’s important for investors not to get carried away by an initial spike of 1.5p and having many bagged has this could be once in a lifetime opportunity, some traders will trade 40 years and never get a chance like COPL.
I say this because on the Telegram group some sold out of EUA at 2p, 3p etc and were kicking themselves.
All, just my musings and each to their own.
Of course if people need the money and sell it is understandable, and I have not seen the word idiot used to describe sellers.
The key thing is that people fully understand what they are removing their investment from, and there should be no debate on that, that is just common sense.
You can't categorize everyone as an idiot for selling out quickly on relist. I bought in at 0.04p (averaged up to about 0.16p), so for me, taking out my whole holdings at 2p pays of my mortgage, my car, my wife's car, sets up my child's savings, and leaves us with a very decent bank account after. So people need to do what people need to do, don't listen to anyone that says don't sell, do what makes it right for you.
I have followed this company for some time and have been reading this board over the last 8/9 months or so (thank you to everyone sharing research). I have a small holding of 900,000 shares having once held 3 million but tried trading elsewhere and got caught out. I bought back in just prior to suspension and still think I have enough shares to do well, however i should have held a lot more.
I will definitely add on relist but I would also like to know if it’s possible for me to buy shares on the Canadian exchange in XOP ? I apologise if this has been covered before.
Thanks again to some fantastic contributions from many posters ( too many to mention) and I hope we can relist soon.
Charlie great post.
This stock when it comes back is without doubt a great investment opportunity to buy in to an oiler that is right at the bottom of a transformational incline curve that will give multiple gains over the next few years
Totally understand there will be PI’s that need to sell, but anyone else thinking of taking money out to reinvest elsewhere, why.?
And whilst it is good to talk relist price, do not get too hung up on it, the focus for those that want to earn money is what will the SP be in 12 months, 18 months and longer. Is it likely to be higher than realist price.? Yes, based on the likely road map, much higher
Relist is the first step on a rich transformational journey.
Do not miss the opportunity.

My guesstimate & I’ll wager that by the end of this month the shamans will be onboard, pointing out that it is all clearly predicted in the charts. As if, AM being predictable?!
Enjoy the ride peeps. GLA.
Don't forget people have targets. Mine was always around 2p so I have the money for house renovations. I'd love to hold longer but I don't have the time. People will sell as and when it suits them.
I'm in two minds whether to sell on relist if its around 2p or wait incase in spikes from new investors but either way I'll be selling soon. I'll leave a bit in of course but as I said, people have targets.
Nice post Charlie.
Exactly what Warren Buffet says why investors (83%) lose money, they jump in and out of shares chasing a big pay day.
WB goes on to say that if needs be just be in 1-3 shares and stick to them.
I don’t care what anybody says, on re-list it will be NT and you will struggle to get in under 2p.
Continued:
Chasing rainbows is always a exciting but costly if they don’t appear.
You need to question how many rainbows you have found since buying your first share and if you would risk losing this to fund the search of others?
The wait is nearly over.

Prospectus and re-list
An insight into what’s to come:
A minimum PE figure to work from (could increase)
Q2 accounts will show increased revenue
Q2 accounts will show increase bopd
WTI broken $74 and heading towards $80 per barrel
Global demand set to continue to increase as restriction are lifted
Cole Creek could possibly be fast tracked - same process and set up (miscible flooding)
Drilling program could be pulled forward now oil is flying
Possibility of purchasing some or all of Cuda stake taking us to a possible 85%
Possibility of figures in simulator being dwarfed by actual output figures as field reacts beyond expectation to miscible flooding (if words to this effect are RNSed this is going to go bonkers on top of an already crazy and rapid climb imo)
We know an initial jump instantly has occurred of 50% from initial start of miscible flooding - very rare
Maximum out put figures to be possibly increased for Barron Flats
If we have the same response at Cole Creek where output exceeds the simulator again daily bopd can only grow and grow.
We have a number of licence areas with in the acres that we own that when explores could increase the already proven reserves.
As per accounts $150k was paid out - is this potentially another licence or venture, still to be disclosed ?
Changes in council and government policies will mean more licences issues in Nigeria. Oil licences / exports and taxes make up 80% of the government income. They like everyone else will want to claw back money following losses of the global pandemic and invite investment so will look to issue licences. Already seen as incentives is reductions in the tax both onshore and onshore for oil production.
With this in mind we could see a OPL226 licence update very shortly?
What is transformation for PIs here is the company has went from a explorer burning cash with no income or revenues to producing and being cash generative, the possibilities and options to progress assets what we have are now achievable without being a cost to the average PI, as there should be no requirement for dilution other than existing warrants that we know about.
We are within days of an update and re-list.
Yes suspension means your tied in but if your holding anyway it doesn’t really effect you long term.
If your still selling after reading the above then I question you sanity and why you invest in stocks and shares.
For me to sell out of something to chase potential rainbows somewhere else when you have already caught one (a once in a life time opportunity) I would ask you to think twice or at least understand better what your invested in currently with COPL.
l am not here to tell you to buy, sell or hold. Every PIs situation is different but make sure your 100% sure before you jump as it might be a big jump and you might live to regret it or get back in without taking a
