hi bd, my thinking has been last q and start taking out, but have been hearing that the cycle on bitcoin may flatten out . yes a crash has to be a possibility and if march last year is anything to go by everything will get hit. Also have to consider us economy may power out and the taper may well do its job. gold didnt like yesterdays news. As always, best to be reasonably spread imv as it is fairly difficult looking long term these days. just have to react to situations. crypto is moving apace as we speak and as I expected the china issue has only strengthened it and more in the us are seeing it as a chance for us dominance so only a matter of time before the fed starts hoddling imv. Brazil now looking at something like el salvador as well as some African countries.
yes , always a good chance that crypto profits will filter down into pms. I think crypto investors are less binary . always appreciate your opinion and good to have a reasoned exchange.
apologies for off topic but there is naff all to discuss re cnr apart from guessing future sp.

Seingred - I have made a little on OMI - went into GGP - still have a very small holding purchased at 18. I was originally in very low and missed selling at highs - same for UFO and BZT - also sold some of them at profit for more GGP. Also have a little in Palm and RMM - RMM was going to sell as soon as dilution was mentioned - was up then - now down about 60%. But these are small - my main miners are GGP/CNR/XTR - and unfortunately SML where I am sat on huge loss. When it temporarily went up to 0.9 should have cut and run.
This investing lark is not easy in AIM - but I invested well in GGP and can only see a bright future there. My main learning - going from exploration to mining is not quick - and plenty peaks and troughs along the road.
Last fundraise didn't have any warrants attached, which was a welcome break from what had become the norm. I don't think MC likes them any more than we do, but was led to believe, rightly or wrongly, that they would attract Canadian investors like Ross Beaty. That hasn't really been borne out, so I'm hopeful that we've seen that back of them (warrants, not Canadians!)
FM also took shares at 50p as part-payment for the mill, which was above market price at the time, so that's was effectively a raise at a premium to the VWAP.
I think the SP could turn back up relatively rapidly if gold looks to stay strongish and the elections don't bring any new trouble, so timing the raise could be quite important to optimise the price, assuming we're not actually running on fumes yet.
el, gold storming in the last 24 hours. the market is waiting to see the next fundraise out of the way imv since mc confirmed it months ago. bit of a mistake imv. I said ages ago that the raise was likely to be around 36 p and got called a de ramper, now here we are at 36 p and still waiting for the raise.could now be sub 30 p at this rate. I would imagine that mellon,mc and fm could probably account for the whole. will be interesting to see if there are any attached goodies and if they are at a discount. If they want to give some strength to the sp I suggest a raise slightly higher than the vwap would be the way to go.cnr did raise once many moons ago at a premium. lets hope that cnr has a delayed lift from a rising gold price if it continues.
hi learner. I have just entered negative territory here which I don't like. yes selling is an art thats much harder than pressing the buy button. but you need to be in profit to top slice lol. been keeping an eye on xtr but not holding. definitely would have paid to have top sliced on ggp. I had a quick bag in and out a few years ago but stupidly sold all rather than half. omi is worth checking out ,has ggp similarities buy obvs dyor. thats my biggest holding right now . been adding at around 15 p .wouldnt go much higher though.
regarding timelines, although groundwork is going ahead as we speak I would expect the build to take at least a year from funding and mc states 3 months for ramp up before commercial production.so for me best case scenario would be towards end of 2023 but knowing cnr and timelines I stick with q1 2024.And that is without any supply issues.we are heading into high inflation, high energy cost and bad supply period as we know so caution is my watch word generally for the next couple of years.
i am well stocked with goldies , particularly producers now, and getting there with crypto too for the coming months connect .going to be an interesting 6 months.
At 65p I would seriously consider how much to hold, I hope we see it this year for our perseverance and sanity!
If you thought AIM is slow, try crypto AIMHO, DYOR, NFA yada, yada, yada!
Seingred - given groundworks have been ongoing a while and design seems to be almost there - was thinking 18-24 months. But may have to go for used plant option given what we see with materials issues etc nowadays.
MC seemed quite upbeat in the last video.
I have still never sold any Condor - am just in profit where we are now - but do think there are potential quicker gains on AIM - with much more risk though.
I was sitting on healthy gains with N.SUP in Canada at $1.50 - now back to circa $0.65 - but I know senior people in that company have never been more confident in the future. I need to learn how to top slice and move in/out. I do not really have the time - my strategy has been to find somewhere I think fundamentals are good and invest for the long term - but in mining the long can become very long!
Sort of excited in XTR at the moment. GGP will keep me excited. That's where my recent investments have been going - but I could be wrong. Lucky at GGP - sitting on a healthy profit - but again should have sliced before.
jt, not really predicting 50 p just can't see it above.I think 40-45 if we get the next raise out of the way soon. unfortunately, your guess is quite possible . unusually I agree with nero, the gold sector has been dragged down for the last year with the gold price, particularly producers. However there are good examples out there of profitable mainly early stage explorers even with recent drops.
wsbn +88%
palm + 61%

grl +39%
cora +32%

cnr suffers somewhat by not following the gold price keenly like a producer or getting the large rises from drilling of an early stager like it did 10 years ago. the orphan period.
i don't expect an election lift as the result is a foregone conclusion already . learner you say shouldn't take too long to be in production, guess it depends on what you call too long.what do you term not too long?
65p. Banking on a bounce after the election and some upward gold price movement. Also hope interim financing is out of the way.
54.5p - think once elections pass - if they pass peacefully with no issues - we may see a slow start upwards. Finance deal to build the mine will be key. Should not take too long to build the mine and get to production, and income, and the drill is giving good results.
Thanks Nero, puts my irrational musings into perspective.
Okay, the CNR SP end of year sweepstake for 31st December 2021.
1. Seingred 50p
2. JT 30.5p
....... any others?
Year to date performance of various gold funds/equities:
- HUI (NYSE): -25.18%
- ABX (TSX): -24.96%
- AEM (TSX): -27.60%
- BTO (TSX): -40.42%
- CXB (TSX): -45.45%
- HUM (LSE): -48.59%
- GGP (LSE): -43.09%
Year to date performance of CNR: -28.97%
I'm predicting that the share price will track the sector unless there's game changing news (in one direction or the other). Yes, I really am a genius. All this consternation could be applied to any share in the sector, many are down far more than Condor.
I think it will drift down to 35p without any news on getting the remaining land. I hope the new appointments will add some urgency and we will have some plans put out and a proper timescale for mining to actually start, however after so many years of disappointment with the slow progress I am not that hopeful.
Sadly CNR remains almost unknown and good news doesn’t generate many buyers for our shares. Our PR and what the board members contribute to CNR remains a mystery to me.
hi jt, gonna put my head on the chopping block as usual, I think anywhere near 50p would be nice .cant see 50p plus tbh.
