Looks to me like someone is desperate to cover shorts with as little loss as possible before inflation kicks in and metals rip higher. Financial markets are now beyond a joke, there is no price discovery and no one has any real idea of the scarcity of commodities. We may as well drop the facade and set prices by committee since we're so desperate to become the soviet union. All it means is that gold and silver will become unavailable since no one will sell them at the official price. Welcome to clown world.
And silver below $26 as well.. anyone got any physical silver they want to sell me for $26 an ounce? No? Thought not..
CRIMEX PM prices are a joke. Inflation levels being officially reported are also a joke. Heaven forbid any central bank in the world would want to raise interest rates to combat rising inflation when their debt levels are at ridiculous levels.. it would be like turkeys voting for xmas..
Negative real rates of return and still gold is getting bashed.. how long can this continue? Fitch says gold at $1200 in 2023 - well I cant wait to buy physical at that level as well.. I may well be visiting La India to buy some gold dore bars at $1200 an ounce in 2023.. anyone fancy a jolly boys outing?
regards,

Gold price flirting with the $1600 s soon possibly . All things considered sp holding up pretty well but sub 40p could be coming .

If you think gold is going to hit over $2000 this year then there will be some fairly cheap producers soon . Calibre and b2 among them . Havnt even had a stock market crash yet .
Not the new gold is still doing pretty well though ,thankfully .
Gla
drifting down to placing price
Cf , most big producers are down around 40 per cent over the last 6 months . $1700 is the new $1250 lol .
Awax ,simms .Personally I dont buy that scenario . Beaty would just increase his holding at the next raise .imo he will gradually sell out this year for whatever reason.
We started land purchases over 4 years ago .
Calibres shareprice has dropped from 2.50 cad to 1.50 cad in the past 4-6 months. They certainly need some added good news
Let's not forget where the share price was at the start of 2020. Doing a fundraise at 20 odd p for further drilling. None of us have a magic ball. I wonder whether there is a delay on getting a processing plant because there could be talks in the background with calibre/rio. Who knows? We don't but MC certainly does.
My feeling is that RB has a long way to go if he is selling completely, which I doubt. Buying in at a lower price for any new fund raise makes sense, also reducing the exposure here makes sense, as does taking advantage of better opportunities elsewhere makes sense, so a number of reasons makes sense.
What doesn't make sense is investing for all this time, then completely pulling out when we are on the cusp.
Regarding the other issue of time taken. Should we have completed the land purchases a year/18 months ago? Should we have raised funds at a lower sp and proven up another 1m Oz? Were either of these opportunities missed, or would we still be in the same position? I guess only MC can reflect on the way things have been done and when they've been done, as he has all the relevant info to hand.
I'm certainly staying put and will add if the price is right and other 'horses' come in. This is a good board, with good healthy discussion/disagreement. Let's hope we all achieve our goals, then put it somewhere safe!
If i was being machiavellian if RB knew the mine build decision was coming up, presumably with expectation of funds from key shareholders and others and might they be selling ahead, depressing the price to their advantage and then using the proceeds of share sale to buy in at a lower placing price. Personally i expect any trimming is completed as MC should have a pretty good understanding. At least we have JM who i am sure could buy up all their stakes if he wanted and might well do so. Anyway news expected this month and this might be all academic if some of that comes in.
Unless a new big investor fancied a big slice of CNR at 47p...........wouldn't rule it out.
Good point Campbells although if they did the share price would tank unless a new big investor came on board as that's a lot of shares to be swallowed up.
I hope once land and possibly toll mill news land with higher grades announced from drilling they change their minds or the Good news sp boost will be subdued by the two of them offloading to new smaller investors like ourselves.
ross could be selling for personal reasons... randy selling at 100 per cent profit.. niether of them have put all there shares up for sale all at once..
