Noel I haven’t gone away and still making lots of money in life…unlike your pretend Monopoly money!
And I didn’t call you a prick because of any advice you gave, I called you a prick because only pricks like you troll boards and goad people!!
It’s odd posters on other boards have stated you have mental health issues hence your trolling, if that is the case I truly feel very sorry for you!
However If the cap fits and you are of sound mind ….Noel you PRICK!!
So I'm "the most abusive and condescending poster on this bb"! Wow, that's quite a claim... I must be filtered pretty heavily on here then. Or, did I just hurt your feelings because I don't stroke your delicate ego? You do seem to use this bb as an attempt to inflate it after all, for example, just look at your language: "but also illustrating that stating mellon as justification for buying can be a mistake". A mistake?! So then in your opinion buying at any price that isn't the absolutely bottom is a mistake in your eyes? Well that's great for you, but that's not how I see it. I'm not in the share price prediction game like you seem to be. I am content to invest in what I believe is a good business and to be quite honest, I couldn't give a fig why any of the posters are invested here, what their holdings or averages are, I'm not even bothered by "derampers" (think that's the first time I've even writtent that word on here), each to their own in my view.
The only things I take issue with is egocentric narcissists attempting to inflate their egos at the expense of others, and glib posts that preach certainty about subjects that they simply don't understand (and are too egocentric to see it - see the first point).
Besides, if you and anyone else (Noel - still not answered my two questions by the way) are so great at predicting price why are you wasting your time here and not trading for GS, JPM, etc? Actually don't bother answering, I really don't care!
Pot calling kettle Seingred. Look in the mirror every now and then.
nero, I mention you partly because you have been the most abusive and condescending poster on this bb, but also illustrating that stating mellon as justification for buying can be a mistake. also using f m taking cnr shares as part payment at 50p as giving a sp value is a mistake as todays sp illustrates. you call me simple and halfwitted , although during one of your dismissive and fairly abusive posts you stated you had filtered me.
It should be desirable to have a balanced bb with various views accepted without resorting to condescending insults but agree you are nobody special , however you post in a manner that is very condescending to people that don't share your views . I really don't care if you give me no thought, but seeing as you have filtered me and don't give me a thought odd too that you have posted !
20s are a whole lot more tempting for me than melons 36p . simpletons logic admittedly.
"good investing decisions are those made without ego" - try telling that to ISAPENSION.
Sub 30p now, and he called me a prick for saying it would drop to 43p. My forecast upset him, he said. How does he feel now?
If he had given my posts a bit more thought, he might have saved himself a lot of money - but you just can't help some people. They choose to be abusive rather than think seriously.
tester, yes 18 p bottoms twice have been by far the best opportunity here. looking to buy back gradually on hopes of the toll deal coming together.
I find it odd that you like to namedrop me in your posts fairly often seingred, considering I don't give you a passing thought. I am no one special so not sure why you feel the need to do that.
johngle. sp heading into 20 s as we speak. we all have our own methods of valuation. presently calibre m cap is the most sensible comparison although they are presently 180 k oz producer ,soon to be 240 k oz ,no debt and a pile of cash in the bank .last time I looked they had a m cap around $300m so all one needs to do is work out how many condor shares will be in circulation when production starts. my guess is in excess of 200m and more likely 250m.
A toll deal will significantly help the economics but don't envisage it eliminating dilution completely.
i disagree with your point that it doesn't matter whether you pay 40 or 20p . As regards mellon. mc and mellon are old hong kong banking buddies. mellon has paid £1.60 in the past .using a billionaire tax haven elite as a model is irrelevant to me . this is a small mates punt that can be comfortably written off against other gains. nero recently posted he had bought at 36 p as if it is good enough for mellon.I sold some at just under 36p and invested elsewhere and am now looking at re buying sub 30p . if this hits 20 p which it has done on a couple of occasions in the past a multibagger is extremely likely and in the short term rather than gambling on years down the line. 40p plus is not so clear and obviously less likely. yes you can look 4 years down the road but who knowns what the next 4 years hold in store generally. i prefer the 20s multi bagger scenario personally. mc recent comments re tolling makes the risk reward a lot higher for me particularly at a much reduced sp.
you are buying in at a good time hopefully and will see lower yet I think .
Some good recent posts. If Mark thinks we are sat on a 5m oz District, we can easily toll 80,000 oz.
Iistened to latest webinar a little more forensically and at 38:50 MC does specifically say “prior to entering a toll mill agreement we HAD to so this infill drilling” so its a little more presumptious. Its also interesting that his tone has changed from 12 months ago where he started to not talk about the toll as he once did. Certainly feels that if its going to happen it needs to be this month or January but he talks of exploring debt financing as soon as early 2022 after the feasibility so it does seem likely feasibility is due early 2022. If a toll can be secured, even at this late stage, it changes the game as we can kiss any further warrant confetti placings goodbye and just maybe lock in that target of a £1.50 shareprice not too far ahead but it is hanging in the balance but in fairness we only just completed the in fill on Mestiza that looks the likely source for the toll. Calibre clearly have the spare capacity but MC just needs to suck up the extras Calibre might want and move on. The alternative is continued possible slide in share price to a point where even possibly MC does not want to do a placing as he will know how much it will hit his position so the stakes are high but the reward to MC will be millions more than without a toll and maybe selfishly he should move the goalposts and make it happen. Surely if the Calibre CFO moved to Condor on good terms we have a back door. Feeling more confident its going to happen this month. Lets see.
One of many good posts on here. Seem to be in 2 camps - those which suggest that the SP might go down short term ( of course it might) & those that think it will rise in the longer term ( whilst hoping that the " longer term" won't be too long at all , specifically if a toll deal is announced). I know that the market sets the price both in the shorter and longer terms. But the one thing that hits me from MC's recent presentation is the NPV of $418m. Surely, this is a reasonable approximation of what this company is worth. I also presume that in getting to this number, CNR have priced in the cost of buying in the finance required to deliver etc.
If the company is worth circa $418m , then one day soon, specifically if a toll deal is announced, you won't be able to buy this share for anything like 30p. So , as they say, you pays your money and takes your choice. Do you want to trade this share and make a few pence per share - ok , maybe 30%, or do you believe the company projections and hold the share for a multi-bag. It takes all sorts, but I am not a day trader ( never been to Ladbrokes in my life). Good luck if you're trading this share and trying to make a quick buck - it doesn't do anybody any harm, but I've bought these shares because I essentially believe the numbers, and further, Jim Mellon is not a stupid investor, who loves a good multi-bag. I don't think he's turning his stake every other week. If he was, the share price would be in single pence. The fact that he's sat there ,continuing to hold his shares must give great confidence. I know he's not doing it for the greater good, but his stability inevitably helps 'our' company share price.
I'm definitely not a de-ramper, and on the basis that I'd like the share to fulfil what I believe is it's long -term potential, am I a ramper or just an optimist?
This share will multi-bag , and it won't matter whether you paid 20p or 40p. Just hope you're in when they make the announcement.
It is well worth attempting to keep your head above the fray somewhat. Easier said than done and I admit I haven't got it nailed on yet, but good investing decisions are those made without ego, frustration, impatience or any emotion at all really. Just one more reason why many if not most PIs lose money.
For me, it's really very very simple - the SP will probably be double this price within the next 12 months and potentially be 3-5 times greater than it is now in 2-4 years. For those who think they can do better than that *consistently*, while managing your risk somewhat, then congrats - you're one of the best investers of all time (and you'll be loaded very quickly indeed). But any fund manager would take your arm off for that kind of performance.
Did I also think that 2-4 years ago?, well yes I did. Does that make me some sort of idiot? No, I don't think so, but as Connect1 says, you're welcome to your own opinion. In any case, and this is really the point, it really doesn't matter now. You want to argue about the past, about whose wrong and whose right, go right ahead, but that argument gets very very tedious (and sometimes unpleasant) very very quickly. I'm always more interested in future performance than past performance, and this looks like a good buying price to me. I already have quite a few, but I'm getting very tempted...
You're not the only one here watching and waiting t123........hoping to get my big top up timed to perfection.
I did that last time to average down heavily from north of £1.65p, but I know I wouldn’t have the stomach to throw in any more money in this time if that were to happen! Good luck to those that do, but I hope we don’t get there personally!
"Be greedy when others are spiteful" Isnt that how the saying goes? ;-)
I remember buying shares at 18p - think it was 3 years ago around this time -but if we were to see 20-25p again during an end of year lull, I will be very greedy :-) Yet quite spiteful too as I still hold a lot here :-(
regards,
T123
FM might not have been given the option to participate in the raise. Pure conjecture of course but what if JM/MC don't want them to have too much sway just yet?
Or what if FM calculated that CNR wouldn't be able to pay the balance and therefore they could make a grab for loads of cheap shares, and JM has rescued the situation by stepping up in this raise?
Also, in my experience, very wealthy people tend to act solely for their own interests, without a second thought for anyone else affected. I'm sure JM probably thinks he's done CNR as much as a favour as he needs to for now by stumping up the money for the plant balance, and 35p shares and warrants was his price.
We'll get there, I'm certain, but i do think there's a few more hoops. In my experience plant build and testing always takes longer than you think so 2024 does sound about right tbh. Toll deal is the best thing we can hope for shorter term.
You have your opinion which you’re entitled to as do I, so let’s just move on! I assume you’re here for the same reason as I am to make money?
O rly?
"You give IBB888 too much credit for the ability to come up with anything useful"
Amicable is exactly what I'm after, but I'll still call out hypocrisy when I see it.
EL I’m not here to start a keyboard war with anyone, so let’s just agree to disagree and move on amicably regardless!
"constant diatribe and incessant accusation"
Seems to be ample amounts going in both directions atm, and some from yourself also. Maybe everyone needs some time away from the keyboard.
Nothing that hasn’t been added already tbh, I’m not here to ramp or deramp or ‘influence’ others one way or the other, as I have had a lot invested in here for a long time, like many others. What I can’t stand is the constant comments accusing someone with different opinions as a deramper full stop? His predictions have unfortunately come to be more accurate than what could be said of another certain individual’s! We are all here to make a profit and I want this to succeed as much as anyone. However this constant diatribe and incessant accusation is unsavoury and unacceptable to say the least. I have repeatedly said I don’t blame anyone for my investment decision, however that may turn out and I don’t consider myself as an expert either! I respect the rights of all to post their thoughts, vent frustration whether warranted or not without being victimised or demonised!
We don't know that FM didn't buy shares in the recent placing. Aside from the director's contributions, the destinations of the remaining shares were not disclosed.
Some of these posts are getting rather nasty. Debate by all means, but personal attacks say more about those posting them than the target of them.
Anything useful to add yourself Connect1?
You give IBB888 too much credit for the ability to come up with anything useful, you degenerate ‘deramper in chief’ you! :-)
Icb, if fm think 50 p is so cheap, have they bought shares in the recent 36 p placing if they value cnr shares at £1 .Your logic is beyond me tbh. Most cnr holders that have paid a 50 p entry price would be buying at 35 p or as now 30 p .
Again just in case you cannot process English without twisting it , I have always stated toll deal is extremely desireable even when allegedly according to mc Mellon wasnt so keen and some of the "brains " on this bb. From mc interview, he mentions toll in a way that to me does infer movement on a toll appears to be happening . If that turns out to be the case it will be good news for the sp . Personally considering re investing what I sold recently at just shy of 36 p on the strength of that but is a calculated risk that it will transpire . Anyhow I do think sub 30 p is worth adding gradually . The market values cnr shares not you or calibre, the only time mentioning calibres valuation is if they make an aproach . Personally I would be happy with buying at sub 30 p and selling anywhere near your /calibre. Valuation . Is that £1 Presently btw? Strange nobodys buying then .obviously must be us pesky derampers .needs some scooby snack maybe!
Feel free to offer your own valuations ,method and reasons why for years now you and your ilk have been miles away on timescales and massive re rate . The floor is yours brains.
