Just noticed the SL company is hiring a Geologist: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/damsila-exports-private-limited_embrace-the-challenge-exiting-career-opportunities-activity-7170389592070717440-9Sc3?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
If you are looking for longer term investments 5, 10 years or longer that will double or treble every 5 years then go and look at the steady Eddie's . I can recommend APPLIED MATERIALS. .....SMT.......LIONTRUST SPECIAL SITUATIONS.
Sound advice and I'm OK if I lose, as I said no worse off than now and I'm pretty comfortable, but if it comes good it's my kids sorted as well not just my future.....I'm also in very deep with Orcadian energy and if that comes good I am laughing so hedged my bets that one works out, if both do I'm absolutely delighted for 3 generations, if none work out then I fall back on the boring run of the Mill steady Eddie's I've been for years SMT, etc.
Never invest more than you can afford to lose. I have a friend who lost 25k on Aim. It took him years to recover his finances. He gave up amateur investing after that.
Am I really that transparent , I did indeed add 200k to take to a round 5
Below my average so all good......if it comes together!!!
If we get a deal with a proven player then the 40p to 72p ballpark price quoted by independent 3rd party is a game changer for me and the family and our future. If not I'm no worse of than I am now I guess....if your going to go, go hard....big gamble but nobody won anything from the sidelines. Don't regret the things you did in life regret the things you didn't do. GL ALL
I'm surprised they haven't given any update on the offtake interest they claimed they had in the last RNS. Are they being straight up here with the market as to what is actually going on behind the scenes with funding interest? All imo
Only a bargain if they manage to get this project off the ground.... I have no idea what/if anything they're working on.
They had cash injections from HNWs last year - apart from paying their salaries and trips to SL what are they doing with the funds?
Any drilling going on to expand the resource? I dunno.
Well, over 1M traded ( all buys) so perhaps something is afoot.
I kind of think 5.5p was achieved on licence reinstatement so still sitting at 2.9p (with existing investors investing further considerable amounts at 4p) is bargain territory.
Anyway, let’s see how today pans out.
Sadly @Moz I don't think the level of activity this morning signposts any upcoming announcements - too small. It's probably @Andoman adding more, haha
Morning Paul, yes, I’ve noticed that sudden stock activity has increased prior to news in the past, And I would suggest news is probably due fairly soon, it’s been quiet for several months.
I’m tempted to add but will hold off for now, I’m maintaining a reasonable holding and like all things, patience is required.
However, a few more buys and this will suddenly move, which invariably attracts the attention of those regular names, which were now familiar with.
@Moz, yes just noticed that - hoping it's not just one of 'us' using up an ISA allowance or something.
In the past, future news has been signposted by share activity - so fingers crossed. Although I've learned to be consistently disappointed of the years with CMET, sigh...
A couple of reasonable buys this morning, huge potential here.
Sorry, my bad...I'm in 1.6% of the company 😆
Might get to the Xmas party
Hope I'm not scaremongering , I'm just shiittting it with approximately 0.6% of the company in my portfolio lol 😆 😅 fingers crossed
When do licences expire, is there a cavaet attached that we need to be mining and employing X amount by XXX date....that worries me, why pay £80+Million to get a part of something when you perhaps wait and get it all for £2Million "charitable" investment in infrastructure in 9 months.
They would RNS that info. Hopefully, March is the month of the rocket to the Moon.
Nothing in that email about discussions with potential funding partners, which is the number one issue that investors want to know about.
Kind Regards
on behalf of Capital Metals
Ben Dover
lol more appropriate
Patience....lol, look at powerhouse energy yesterday and today.......i bought in at 0.57 put a stop loss on today for 1.14, that was doubling my money, it went above 1.20 and then the fire sale happened and ended about 0.80 it was up over 50% at one time, look at all the people holding the baby on that one, that had about 1 Billion shares traded.....for a 10m mcap company haha. insane.....i learned my lesson after this one........stop loss is the way to go..........if this comes good at my average of 3.2 then im sitting pretty................if not lesson learned dont be too greedy,

"Hi xxxxxx
Thank you for your email. I don’t know why James’ email wasn’t working as that is the right format – we’ll look into it - but in any event we have replaced it with another email address for the IR team who are in very regular contact with the board so you can expect a timelier response going forward.
There is absolutely no contempt towards private investors – that could not be further from the attitude of the board of CMET. The company recognises the hugely important role you and other private investors play and your loyal support in some cases for many years. The chairman has been proactive with engagement, including convening a live webcast in November with Q&A. We expect there will be more of these opportunities alongside important milestones as they occur.
The company announces updates on RNS in accordance with its regulatory obligations, in consultation with its AIM adviser, as and when events occur which warrant an RNS. While we understand that investors in listed companies want to hear updates as often as possible, it is not always warranted or prudent for a company to provide a blow-by-blow account via RNS of matters which are in motion.
There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes since the last RNS but nothing warranting an RNS yet. The chairman has been in Sri Lanka for several weeks, where he remains, meeting with relevant stakeholders including the GSMB and BOI addressing all steps needed to get the project into construction as soon as possible. As soon as there are updates which are appropriate to be reported on RNS – including about offtake - the company will publish them without delay and answer questions about them / hold Q&As etc.
Kind regards
Ben – on behalf of Capital Metals"
I think many of the sellers are rainbow chasing. We've all done it but takes timing etc. I don't think that we'll know until the Rns. No reason for this to fail. Yes, the deal is taking a while but they are probably working with officials on tax breaks and fine details. What do people think? Patience used to be a virtue with investments.
You probably got some of mine (just sold (350,000). The longer this goes on the higher risk, so reducing my exposure.........
Lets see if my trade shows up.......ive just went mental and bought another 500,000 .........if this comes good im a very very happy man, thats me got many multiples of millions.......hahaha, i must be insane.
...brown paper bag clearly required to secure an urgent Nuclear Certificate for our mineral sand and a long awaited RNS!
I understand the feelings. CMET had a could bump when the licenses got returned. They also got fresh investment that was welcome I'm sure. This does look like a good investment but a very good deal is critical.
