Irritating Habits
Any parent with children from teenagers upwards, will probably have been irritated by some of their habits.
Things like not closing doors after they have left the room, not replacing the toilet roll or bathroom towels or leaving the lights on.
How many times have you arrived home with your partner when the young adults have been left on their own?
Every light possible is switched on even the toilet lights & fan. The blinds & curtains are not closed, and the fridge door is open.
I used to joke to our daughters that when they got their first home, I would put every light on and many other things just to let them know how irritating it was for us as parents.
Now a few years ago we were in France with Mrs Beekeeper’s brother-in-law in a nice village called Lubersac (think that is how you spell it) The village sits on top of a hill with a sort of castle at the top, and all the houses are I think over 150 years old. As the brother-in-law owns a second home there he visits often and knows most of all the villagers.
The couple in the castle type property paid a small fortune for their run-down final home. (note final y home) and then spent probably 3 times as much renovating it. As you would expect when it was finally completed this couple were keen to be the perfect hosts and we had the Grand Tour. There were stables, games rooms, two wine cellars. He explained why two, but I have forgotten as I never thought I would ever be in a financial position to have a wine cellar (oh how things can change in just about four weeks after you have been made an insider and then released)
The owner had a fancy car that cost over £100,000 and it only just squeezed through the archway in one of the narrow streets in the village. I did ask him why he would put up with having to put-up with this tight squeeze and he said he deliberately bought that car so that everyone in the village would have to move aside when he came and went. What I think he was implying was that he was letting all the villagers know that he had arrived.
There was a massive courtyard inside their extensive property, and it had all been re-cobbled something like you only see in the most expensive BILLIONAIRE Properties and there were little led lights around the edge and others led lights hidden but switched on by computer INTELLIGENTLY (you could say AI) to make words or patterns or whatever appear all from his iPhone. Like when we went in one evening it said something like “welcome Mr & Mrs Beekeeper” most impressive and out of this world.
This couple had a vison, planned it and exercised it and they are so happy that they achieved what they set-out to achieve.

Maybe someone should find out if someone has a second (or third home in France)
