Eagleeye, I think they are saying nothing to shareholders because they have nothing to say and have run out of excuses. Ghana know if they sit on this for long enough Clon will be no longer around.
Yes Gulable, you are probably right they can move when they want to, however theirs not a lot Clon can do about it, although im sure there are things going on behind the scenes, they certainly aren't going to say anything to share holders that may upset the apple cart, so the best policy is to keep quiet, dont you agree?
Yanis, from the mouth of Saint John and Saint David “ Negotiations started with the new government in May 2017 to confirm details, followed by expedited ratification “
Over four years waiting is not expedited ratification.
This government has since shown that they can ratify like lightening when it’s something they want to do.
Gulable, No I am not saying that!
The backhanders were the old government - did you see the 2019 David interview? I also mentioned this before in a previous post.
Yanis, if you’re saying the only way to get ratification in Ghana is to give a back hander then what are they doing there and why have they been stringing shareholders along for all these years.
I suppose you’ll be telling us next that the two oil companies they have just invested millions into must have given them a back hander.
Backhanders play a role in accelerating things and had CLON paid a backhander (which is illegal) a few years back ratification would have occurred.
He doesn’t answer because he has too much to hide, Ghana has shown us their preferred direction of travel and it doesn’t include Clon why should it. We’re supposed to believe Ghana wanted to push ratification through parliament quickly years ago, now they have shown just how quickly they can move when it’s something they want to get through. I don’t think any of this is irrelevant it’s what you call being realistic.
Gulable,
Three emails sent to David asking for his thoughts on this have all gone unanswered.
Why would he want to comment? its irrelevant
You are correct, Yanis2005,....I first bought into CLON (sub s/p@0.2p), around that time,....which is why we are sitting on Free CLON shareholdings, plus crystalized Cash Profits from CLON,.......leaving us in a position, to hold our existing Free CLON shareholdings, indefinitely,....if the ask gets to sub sp@0.2p again, I will probably be tempted, to put some of those retained crystalized Cash Profits, back into increasing, our existing Free CLON shareholdings.

Yanis, I was referring to the new strategy from the government of Ghana where they now appear to prefer investing directly into oil companies that are up and running as opposed to giving out new contracts on terms that are more beneficial to the contractor rather than the government.
The speed at which they passed this through parliament I think shows their future thinking and strategy.
Isn’t the Tano 2A situation quite a bit different?
The government of Ghana have purchased through GNPC a 37% interest in Tano/cape three points operated by Aker energy and a 70% stake in south deep water Tano operated by Petroleum Ghana ltd. They appear to have got the request for the capital to make these purchases passed through parliament rather quickly, so they can move quickly when they want to.
Three emails sent to David asking for his thoughts on this have all gone unanswered.
The SP dropped … but on very small volume. As I said earlier, I wish I had free cash to add more.
Maybe David’s direct flight to Ghana got redirected to Bolivia just like his business strategy.
This has dropped like a lot of miners have today plus the fact that monecor are still bailing, which is good news at these low prices. For those that may be interested David is still in Bolivia.
Gone into freefall - Looks a bit leaky. Bolivia was a pipe dream anyway. Why would a government choose clontarf ?
Any ideas on where this will bottom ? Low teens ?
Ghana may surprise us one day.
Pauly, the drop is worrying but it dropped to 0.17p in 2018 before the run to 1.97p.
I will be adding more as soon as I free some funds, but this is me each to their own decisions.
Hopefully we’ll hear from YLB in the non-too distant future as they are accelerating the lithium exploitation plans. Fingers crossed and good luck.
I must admit to feeling quite uncomfortable with this drop. I can’t remember it dropping this low and hope good news out very soon. July 1st to now is approx 10 weeks and surely by the end of this month should see all winners announced??
How long does this process of singing MOU’s take?
As for a response to your message eagleeye I am shocked to see your positivity. To have money tied up here for 20 years and have a share worth 0.28p after all that time and being positive is a complete mystery to me.
Not sure who you mean by newbies Pauly, ive been here since the days of PRE, probably getting on 20 years, I've actually lost count, so yes I've heard it all and with PET. Despite all the negativity I have always kept the faith with PET and CLON, as I truly believe they are trying their dammed hardest to achieve something and they certainly have had some bad luck along the way. Anyway, all that said I think CLON could quite easily achieve 1p on any news and back to the old PRE average of 4p if things were to start rolling this would still only give us a market cap of @40m. All in my opinion of course and I dare say the derampers will be on this like a dose of salts, but each to their own.
There is no doubt that there is incredible frustration on this board and I completely understand why. We have people that have been invested here for many years (like me) and our hope and patience is wearing very thin. You have some newbies here who are trying to look at any ounce of hope and then considering it as a 'fact'.
I have lost hope in the board and have wasted many many years reading these posts. But saying that I will be the first to pop over a bottle and scream with excited exhaustion if by any single teeny weeny ounce something can be pulled off, have no doubt about that.
What the newbies don't understand is that this BOD has fed us with so much misleading information based on rumour that we initially fell for it and in my case fell for it time after time.
DH has been terrible. He probably has an email reply ratio of around 5% so those lucky few that get replies may be pleased. However nobody ever has had any meaningnful reply that I can remember except for stating he in in Bolivia which is relevant and the timing certainly is interesting.
I would like to start another thread of conversation. It does seem like a possibility that Clon may be one of the 9 companies selected (though I don't know how as they have a track record of achieving NOTHING in 30 plus years).
Let's say by a miracle selected what do you actually think it would do to the SP price? I mean after all they would be only chosen to participate in a 'pilot programme' so there is no commitment or guarantee they would be selected to move ahead with this long term.
So on that basis would be expect a small SP rise to say .60 or max 1p? Ghana is a different beast but is probably dead in the waters. If that did happen I could see a much larger jump but in my opinion very very unlikey.
Eagleeye, read my posts and you will see I have emailed them.
Gulable, Have you emailed them then?
All I am saying is people can make up their own mind on this by emailing the company and asking the question is David in Bolivia , what is the defensive panic all about, I thought you would be happy to have this confirmed by Clon.
EagleEyes, David is in Bolivia … I know this, you know this … because David said so. If others want to doubt it, so be it. In fact, the longer the SP stays down here, the more of a chance for me to keep adding. Each to their own.
As I said before , I received and email from David last Friday stating that he was in Bolivia, im not making it up there's no point, I feel its a very positive sign. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink.
