iTrader, you're talking utter b*ll*cks, by the same standards you won't be going to restaurants because you can eat at home... or won't be going to pubs because you can drink at home, or meeting friends because it's safer in your basement! lol... and better still never have a girlfriend coz an old Photo of a half naked black 'n' white piccy of Doris Day and your right hand are cheaper and will suffice! Joker! lol
Debts can be paid off - many global companies have huge debts but will manage to pay.
Mistakes were learnt from with regards to eat out to help out - this time it is different - a lot different.
Yes, anything can happen over the next few months - 1 BIG thing which is happening is that UK PLC, and its people is/are getting back on its/their feet - slowly, yes, but happening nonetheless.
Covid MAY be with us forever BUT i for one will feel a lot safer because of the vaccine.
Wonder Woman, Black Panther etc did have release dates, yes, but their are plenty of release dates to come which should look more solid this time around.
Mark.
I can only hope you are doing better at uni than your absolute nonsense most times here itradein£3chunks
Even if Cinemas were doing poor before Covid - the mentality in the consumer has now shifted and people want to get out.. don't rely on consumer mentality previous to Covid to explain the future after Covid.
You are not mystic Meg anyway
trader your negativity is like a bad smell round here, we have put up with others for months. can you please give it a rest? we are all at our witz end
i just don't believe external factors will push this past 1.20. Cine themselves will have to do that. WIth the crazy debt level and the fact that the sp was already falling before covid. The cine in my are closed month before covid. Remember its lower capacity and there's still 2-3 months anything could happen I thought covid was over last year with all teh eat out to help out propeganda. During that time tenet and wonder women and black widow had release dates but this was not responding
@M00la
EXACTLY. SPOT ON.

People paid to go to the Cinema and owned Netflix before covid. Your point is irrelevant, if anything people will want to spend as much time doing the things they've been prevented from doing for the past year as soon as they're able.
Hi all,
As of today i have today invested into Cineworld. I do see this as a good recovery play. Yes i am aware of the shorts, debts and doomsayers which are lurking around, but for what it is worth, i really do see how cinemas will prosper once again.
1. People want to get out and escape cabin fever - that time is now fast approaching.
2. I am sure that many people want to stop paying premium prices via amazon, hbo, etc and pay less to experience the movie in all its glory on the big screen whilst having the discussion about it with friends in a pub or bar afterwards.
3. The big names like paramont, wb, lionsgate etc haven't held onto their movies in the hope of cinemas reopening whilst worrying not making a bean on their movies - they are not in the business of losing money (sometimes they take a hit on a bum movie but they usuallt mske it up elsewhere with another film release)They have held onto their films as they know the cinema venues WILL bounce back from these horrid times and will be able to make revenue through Cineworld and the likes when safer times return, which again those times are fast approaching.
Simple reasons i know, but simple is best.
