Apology if I have picked the wrong thread to comment but my point is about shorters and there is no change in percentage of shorts since April!!!
Those big funds that short will have any big negative news before us PIs. The fact that shorts haven't changed makes me think that all the drop from £1 to current levels is beacause of triggering of stop losses and MMs playing games.
With AGM gone, next RNS is on Monday and it is about reopening RNS.
I will top up again before Friday close. I expect Monday morning with RNS we could see big jump. In the RNS if they can throw in news about more agreements with studios then minimum 15% rise guaranteed!
Glasgow IMAX is actually a part of the Glasgow Science Center - It used to be run by the science center itself then it became a CINE in 2013 so think they just ran it/leased it for those years so maybe their lease just ran out (or maybe the Science center isn't re-opening any time soon). (ps - used to be great when it was part of the Science Center - you could get 2 hot dogs, 2 drinks and a popcorn for a tenner! - unheard of :-) ) And if you were a member of the Science Center as we were at the time then it was only a fiver for any IMAX film! Actually - just checked and saw the following quote on their facebook page to the imax: "We are no longer operating the IMAX at the Glasgow Science Centre and are planning to surrender our lease. All of the impacted employees are being offered alternative employment at other Cineworld branches."
MarchMiddle though they have made some progress on getting the website up for reopenings it is not fully functioning ye and it has a lot of locations presently missing. I suspect it is a work in progress and waiting for certain cinemas to come up with what films they are showing and what times. Give it a day or so imho.
Odd that they and Picturehouses aren't showing Nomadland the one film we tried to book today, and the one many people are looking forward to watching in the cinema on the back of its awards. Good news for their competitors I guess, but very strange behaviour.
Also Glasgow Imax and Newport Friars Walk aren't reopening at all
Lightbearer , I bought @15p sold at £1.24..!!what ya playing at ?
Call yourself a trader....?
Plenty here have pointed out MANY times this is a global business heavily weighted to the USA, so no prizes lightb.
another single vision...always blame shorters..
3 months ago, I was shot down my you lot for pointing out the global nature you shoulod be watching. the AGM meeting, l&g, reopening stages, social distancing, spaced seating, consessions sales (the biggest part of cinema profits), having the films from the studios...but y'all here in your little englander minds thinking as sioon as boris says the cinemas can open you'll all be making your money....simplistic minds.
I bought at 26p, sold at £1.18 and I do believe CW will recover. but you will be sat pretty much here till stability is restored, and you refuse to listen to sensible advice. but fine...criticise this post, call me a troll. so I was right! proof is in the pudding!
Just feels like the MM can easily keep this at the level they want. I would be surprised to see any positive movement when doors open next week but holding in hope.
No need to be rude Mike even if you believe that the only way is up.
More buys than sells yet again and still it goes down. This will pop very soon. HOPEFULLY
Stanley (Pro) McFly, I suggest you fire up the fricking DeLorean and travel back to Autumn 2020 if you hope to get in at 75p! GREAT SCOTT!! The greed is palpable!
