@bully i live on planet earth and i am not saying they will just takeover without buying atleast 30% at these ridiculously low prices first.. its when they get to mooky and HSBC talks that things will get expensive.. but to Disney.. still pocket change and they will see future value not just short sighted views. They could save themselves about a billion on the upcoming starwars films just by taking into account they will get all of the ticket sales, then they could use Cine debt as a tax write off saving more.. if you dont agree you dont agree.. but no need to start getting lairy
I know its oil industry, I'm in it .
Chevron bought out noble drilling who had $9 billion of debt !!!!
Saihaj, you have a point, maybe exciting news is coming... what I can say is that there will certainly be an exciting day ahead. Shame I'll be missing most of it.
You've surprisingly been an okay chap - good to have shared a chill pill and a great mention with Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and Company. Perhaps you can get your colleagues M00la and Bolox to chill out and suggest their all time Bollywood movies.
Whatever the case is it’s clear from the studios that that don’t want to release early and lose out on essential income that would otherwise short change them in the current climate which makes business sense.
On the other end of the stick if this isn’t the right time for takeover over bids on Mooky’s desk then I don’t know when it will be... maybe some exciting news coming soon!
There is a possibility that they would need cineworld in the long run - but we'll have to wait and see. There are a number of possibilities coming up not all of them are positive for CINE shareholders - cineworld just sells a portion of their assets? It keeps cinema in the family for Mooky (City never included real estate into the deal when cineworld took them over)?
This scenario may not be the best outcome for private investors and there could be a range of other agreements with any new debt issuers.
There is no time to die right now.

One of the comments from that link JWD posted:
“ In 1918 theaters experienced a similar impact during the Spanish Flu, and we still have movie theaters today. The industry was structurally changed by that pandemic. But theaters survived and they will again. The current companies that run them may change, but an industry that generates billions of dollars a year will not be allowed to just die out.”
And I agree... only the strong survive in these tough times and Mooky will make some critical decisions considering the number of shares he holds in CINE, surely a takeover will be in the pipeline especially with his strong relations with Disney.
If they need cinemas that will be a good investment for them in the long run
@jwd222
John (no relation honest) in the video says that "Disney here is waving the white flag... and don't necessarily blame them".
::::::::::Have a look at the other delays (also some movies brought forward)::::::::::
Here are the other delays:
Eternals (Angelina Jole) delayed from Feb. 12 to Nov. 5, 2021
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Simu Liu) May 7, 2021, to July 7 2021
Death on the Nile (Kenneth Branagh) moved from Oct. 23 to Dec. 18
Deep Water (Ben Affleck) shifts from Nov. 12 to Aug. 13, 2021
West Side Story (Steven Spielberg's remake) delayed a year from Dec. 18, 2020, to Dec. 10, 2021
Some movies that have moved earlier:
The Empty Man (horror) actually moves up from Dec. 4 to Oct. 23,
The King's Man (Kingsman prequel) moves up two weeks from Feb. 26 to Feb. 12, 2021
Wouldnt even suprise me if they were looking at buying AMC .. CineWorld & Cineplex
I dont want to jynx it too much but if Mooky drives a hard bargain.. and Disney REALLY need a cinema chain.. i can see them being willing to pay 5 billion maybe more and as soon as a vaccine is proven they will probably take in about 10-15 billion in their first year of DisCineWorld what with each cinema acting a disney store
If they need cinema they Probably make sure they survive or takeover
Any movies that Disney postpone is possible good news that they are possibly looking at world domination and a cinema chain is practically all they dont currently have to succeed
He thinks movie theatres may not survive if they keep delaying movies. https://youtu.be/NuUDegCe0vs
