I'm just saying... don't write everyone's comments off.
There really are some strange people on this BB.
Far too much time on their hands..
I was having a trip down memory lane... and remembering your comments when I said the SP would hit 20p or even lower. It was interesting how many people wanted to just shut the conversation down - including yourself. It's good to have a healthy discussion.
WTF!
I come on and post that I am pleased with the rise today, literally one line. And somehow someone thinks that has anything to do with then.
John, wtf are you taking about, what confrontation. I know you may find this hard to understand but this BB isn’t all about you...
Many of you paid no attention and put everyone who said 20p on a filter list.
@PinkEye
"I've given a reasonable opinion on my view and also tried not to personalise it. It shouldn't upset people too much if I think the sp will fall.
Right now you're setting up a confrontational situation which it doesn't need to be - unless you want a gloat off post 24th Sept, which I have no intention of participating in.
I'm in profit as we speak - ive done my research; I'm predicting 41p on the 23rd Sept end of play. On the 24th im predicting a fall - you could be looking at low to sub 30p.
I'm thinking it will then decline into 20p territory over the coming weeks, unless the news on the 24th specifically indicates a game changer soon after.
Lets see folks.
Good luck."
Closer to 50 and certainly doesn't give a Parsee "maths genius" 2%.
Closer to 48 I bet.
No sleepless nights here, maybe the odd bit of grumpiness but nobody likes to see a share price go into the red.
Obviously I would rather have an average price in the mid 40,s than the low 50’s but I am very confident I will more than double my investment in 6- 12 months.
@91jonmo it will certainly be bumpy.
It was close enough to 50p for me to state it as such, so Pinkeye instead of clutching at straws and having sleepless nights at what price i carried out my short, it would be better spent researching CINE more closely.
Johnh, come on be honest. The day and time that you executed your short you couldn’t have got 50p.
The share price was between 48 and 49. So with the spread the best price you will have got would be just above 48.
Some are your post I actually enjoy but you lose credibility when you start making numbers up.
If you don't understand didly, then your man is parsees.
I don’t understand didly about it so anyone who does that would be great.
wiseabout, I'm waiting for Parsees to respond on the RNS because the smart ar//se was giving me lectures on how to invest. Parsees some words for wiseabout?
Morning John. Can you share your thoughts on Thursdays RNS? Thanks
"Must have bought in very low at the perfect time just as the s**t hit the fan, then you rode it to £1 (possibly twice) now riding it down to that level instead of getting out with your profit...???"
marc_rs i don't mean to be funny, but you will not be on guitarmans list.
Guitarman I am honoured to make the list... i would like to thank the Lord, Parsees and the sun.
Hey Mr Guitar Man Play a song for me. Like your tune. Dacorum clearly wearing camouflage fatigues to disguise his true intent.
The world will end on Monday....very dull all round.
Cineworld have cinemas in Israel.
Full lockdown there and people cannot go beyond 500 metres of their home residence.
Ian it all hinges on the rns from Thursday evening, which Parsees will enlighten about?
I am waiting for the next RNS. Someone was buying up lots of shares Friday. So if Goldman Sachs has bought up a massive tranche of shares to add to their 6% voting rights. Then I will be looking at a Disney takeover of Cineworld. Considering that at some point in the future studios will make their moves. Could be Disney wants to beat them to the punch. Plus they have the finance for it. Could time for them to pick up a bargain.
Why is everyone banging on about the U.K. lockdown, yes I agree that’s what’s drove the markets down a bit lately but this company is predominantly US based (and/Or spread over Europe If u want to argue)... who (US) never actually had a lockdown and has been through probably the worst (so called 2nd wave)
But like many articles and doctors findings has seen Hurd immunity kick in to lower the figures from the peak
Just look at the bigger picture, cine is NOT reliant on the U.K.!
Parsees have you figured out the rns yet?
Tell me about how shorting is done? If I short at 50p and the price now is 46.5p is that 2%?
marc_rs thanks for the comments. A few points I'd like to clear up; I've shorted CINE - that's why you may be assuming what you are.
The RNS question was aimed at Parsley from whom we haven't received a response yet. He's insisted he knows more than everyone else, so I'm putting the question out there; educate us all and tell us about the rns?
He also can't do basic calcs, this 2% is laughable. Parsees if I short at 50p and now its 46.5p what profit have I made? Is it really 2%? Whats this 10% you are on about?
I've said this numerous times; the share is over priced for the current climate and sentiment. It will recover soon about Christmas - imho. For long-term holders I feel its nothing to worry about.
When covid struck, people fell into two camps, i) those who thought it was a serious concern and ii) those who thought it was a conspiracy. As media stock hasn't recovered, those who are long-term holders don't have an issue, but those who wanted to flip a quick profit have been burnt. Conspiracy theorists especially have also taken short positions on other stocks e.g. Parsees (aka feedmyeyes) who until a few days ago was hoping a covid-19 aim company would fail so he could cover his losses. Unfortunately, this strategy has failed and hence the vitriolic insults on other investors - he suffered losses on both fronts.
My view is, if I'd bought long at over 65p, id ride it out or buy more to average down. Mooky has worked his magic (see recent news), he's restructured the company well, but this won't be enough to take the price above AMC, which is a bigger and better cinema chain. The AMC capitalisation is lower than CINE and that's equivalent to a share price of around 30p.
A covid cure/ vaccine is on its way but will not be fully rolled out for months. When it does, screens will fill up above 20% and profits will return. Some great releases on the card near Christmas will push CINE back on the scene.
