Jai, crack the champagne out at that price.
I would say around 94.
Jm, back to earlier. 10k is a lot money imo.
Winning guess gets a box of popcorn. Closing price on Friday........ 1.035
Bloody hell londoner you got my heart racing with that date then. I was getting ready for the buying stampede tomorrow, LOL!
Hi seer. I recognise you actually, maybe PMO or on IOG? Well I hope you make everything back and plenty more Sir. In some ways the last time almost feels like a bit of training for this situation we are in now. These prices, pretty much across the board have been and still are ridiculously cheap. It’s a no brainier to invest In stocks at this time I feel, we won’t see these prices for years. Trump, no comment, lol.
I hope we ALL make some great money on here on the rises over the next 3 months, 1 year, 3 years, etc......whatever your strategy is. I’m not fully sure what my end game is but ideally I’d like to recoup the losses from the past and then see where I go from there. It’s been a decent enough bb here so far so I’m hoping it stays that way. Always good to have different peoples views.
Just catching up on this evenings update, looking good so far. Positive week here I feel.
GLA
Jai - I am 74 and like you i came back into the market this year to gamble and hopefully not lose too much cash ! I was doing well until I broke my own rule of NOT buying oil shares - my old favourite from better times was PMO which made me quite a good profit - however I bought in the day before the incredible flash crash in oil futures and lost £2300 - always take your own advice !!!! I am only in CINE now and was doing OK but got hit with many others on the Friday plunge - still holding and expecting a really good few weeks of steady increase in SP - maybe Trump will will keel over with the drugs he is taking or when he gargles with bleach - LOL The whole world would rejoice if only "Hitler" Trump would just disappear and stop destroying world trade
Regards and GL to all CINE fans and investors
I am also expecting a trend upwards from tomorrow with a steady increase and the usual pull back. But then again the markets have a way of proving people wrong. It would be interesting to see what the opening price would be.
this is then compounded by a huge spike in coronavirus cases as it spreads throughout those rioting
Civil unrest and looting will of course impact the domestic market. Regal cinema represents a massive proportion of Cineworld's revenue.
Totally agree. No riots in a few cities having anything whatsoever to do with Fridays drop. It was trumps comments about china day before.
I expect a decent bounce tomorrow.. this will be back to 90's and £1 before end of week.
Utter rubbish, localized US riots shouldn't have any effect on the SP of Cineworld which plans to open up in 4 to 5 weeks time.
What have US riots got to do with the movie industry and world markets in general for that matter? Why would this non political, US only domestic issue affect the markets at all? I'd be curious to know your rational.
Trump threatening sanctions on China would affect the global markets. Some looting and some riots on some cities in the US will not affect global markets. Like I said, it's purely a domestic issue which Trump is largely ignoring. They'll die down eventually. The US is used to murderous police and subsequent unrest. Just another day in the US.
Markets finished up in the US on Friday as Trump didn't escalate the issue with China as feared and didn't introduce any new sanctions. I think we will return to an uptrend and see a blue day on Monday as we start June and countdown a few short weeks to reopening of the cinemas. Hopeing to see 90p+ again.
It's a very sad state of affairs, before lockdown I was a regular visitor to America and have witnessed first hand blatant racism. Mix that with a poor education system, widespread drug abuse and a love for guns and you have a cluster duck waiting to happen.
CINE may be held back a little - unfortunately it doesn't look like the rioters have any regard for a second vivid spike?
IMO
Those riots are heating up. There are some pretty nasty videos on Twitter.
I think the riots will definitely hold back the SP however they surely won't continue until July so unlikely to prevent any openings.
Ditto. I was on shares 2008-2012 but hadn't done anything since Desire petroleum cost me a fortune. Anyhow smwh I agree another one waiting to boom, but I'm big on this and tlw. Multi bagger both of them.
I see this opening up tomorrow and ticking toawards the early 90's.
Hopefully can re test £100 for the end of the week.
I am not so sure TLW is a great investment now, I was on them from 17 - 25 but sold as all the news that was expected didn't really give the desired rise (New CEO, sale of assets etc) even the recent rally in oil prices hasn't pushed it over 30. A trading share at best?
Jm. I’ve come back into shares after a few years out after loosing money. Swore I never would be back but in theory it’s hard to loose money now? But saying that I was 18% down this time. Cine has turned that into a 8% profit so far. So very lucky to be in that position now. I’m just extremely wary from past experiences, but I’ve learnt lesson since then.
Made some good and bad decisions in oil but TLW looks like a bargain now. I’ve been looking at SMWH and strangely MKS. Safe bets I guess.
Morning Jai,
Agree their is a lot of unrest wherever you look. I’m lucky I got 10k in here@70p so I’m ok for now. I made a bad trade with RR. Just as it was downgraded to junk by s&p ouch. 3.19 down to 2.77 will exit first thing Monday if I can. Only have 4K so not that bad. Will look to add here but this and tlw are my two big ones. Well big for me, to some 10k is not much.
Gl whatever, but I do agree with your £1+ but I see that this week if nothing goes pear shaped or trump throws a spanner in
Morning Jm. Unfortunately we have the riots to throw into the mix now too. I would say he needs to address this quickly as people want justice.
It appeared to be dropping quite quickly at 2.30 but then pulled back. I do believe this will be way above 100 this year so not too worried. Just want to get in at a good average and get some profit locked in. Then if a few bits of bad news come out then I’m covered for drops. Thank you
Jai,
How I see it... for what it is worth.
Firstly when you are anticipating and trying to second guess what Trump will do then all charts and trends are out the window, however candlestick formation says down, trend line ever so slightly sees support at 77 but real floor would be last resistance which is 62ish although I do not see that as it was smashed completely. But resistance does become floor.
IMO Trump and profit taking where reasons for Friday drop, I did say day before last hour Friday would be best time to buy. I think this will open up Monday and keep going. Much more to come here.
Sorry read that wrong. Ok you’ll get some good profit on the next run for sure
Hello. Nice sell at 100, good call. Yeah I got in with some at 86 ish but held back re trump. I’ll be back in fully in Monday, as low as I can. Feeling a mini drop first then up again. Could be wrong though, let’s see
@jai
Yes i did. I did pick up around 87p. I aas sold out last week with 100 pound profit and meant to be buy back but didn't buy it and missed the uptrend.
I think it will drop down a bit and back. Lets see. Whats ur plan jai?
100+ coming week. But I'm not selling before 180 to 200 within August.
Trump seemed to stop short of serious sanctions on China which lead to the Dow having a late rally.
Should be all systems go again on Monday for the FTSE which will be good for us.
In any event the latest RNS speaks for itself and shows that financiers are happy to back the industry.
+£100 by July IMO
84.30
Great. I think Rohan said he/she is waiting for 70s.
I think there might be slight tree shake and then upwards. Anyone got any pattern details here? Although hard to work it out with so many variables here. Thanks
I did at 85 though, think there will be an uptick in the next few days again when the bookings open!
