Hosai - the links are there for anyone to use, they should be very useful to investors here. Let time play out.
John that reversal is old news, and we all know about Cuomo.
If the cases do remain as they are they will open on Oct 6th, obv only time will tell if that will happen.

I feel that big companies are snapping up cheap shares. I feel this was a strategic play by Mooky. If it goes down to 30 then let it be. But something does not feel right about the billion loss. No one has explained where that has been spent?
Hosai, see the link resources below. Gov. Gavin Newsom is reversing his policy on the sectors that have already opened. That means the cinemas will remain shut (NYT link). Secondly, the John Hopkins link shows that California cases are back on the rise. New York is in an identical situation to California. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo has not opened cinemas and with data suggesting that the number of cases are on the rise, it won't be any time soon.
Right now that scenario won't be happening.

None of your effin business TROLL !!
Why didn't who sell today?
Assuming San Fran and LA cases remain as they are they will open Oct 6th, which will give confidence to movie studios.
Why didn’t they sell today ??
It doesn't need to drop all today - there is no news incoming for a while - it will go up a tiny bit some days and down just a little bit more. Overall, it's getting walked down to 30p or below. UNLESS further news arrives.
I wonder why Chinese bought more yesterday ?
Perhaps they thought it would rise upon results
If this was going to drop to 30p, today would have been the day. The market is wise and also feel something fishy is going on and do not want to be caught out.
I hope so.
It could be a rights issue though..
Who knows tomorrow will be interesting could a see a big drop.
Ian I disagree - I think just think this is very bad news.
I feel Mooky is planning something. Makes no sense in how they lost £1.2 billion, unless they left the lights on all through lockdown. Smacks of forcing lenders to an agreement and for him to buy up lots of stock cheaply. I feel over the next few weeks something is going to happen. Mooky is shrewd and today has been planned for a long time.
The revised figures are there for you Hosai - enjoy.
AMC is currently at $4.88 and an MC of $533.48M = £418.33M
CINE has a current MC of £552.83M and an share price of 40.27p
With debt and revenue comparison (end of June):
AMC has $6.13 bn debt and revenue of $0.96Bn (ref 1)
CINE has a $8.2bn debt and revenue of $0.71Bn (ref 2)
And with AMC having more screens, the Share Price is about to head below the 30.47p.
That's assuming no further delays or other bad news in the interim which could send this well below.
