Some e.g. MS said 20p is on its way. It is a shocking report - if it was as "expected" then where is the £1 plus?
John - disagree. Part of the requirements due to covid is to include several scenarios to the business forecast. They have done this and based on prolonged closures and delayed movies they have to raise more funds. Bit obvious if you ask me.
This is the same as with most businesses that need to shut its doors and not receive any revenue.
So that's worst case scenario. Now for the equity raise. Firstly it's not necessarily needed, I guess over the next month or so we will find out. But if it does there is no direct comment it will be share dilution but rather they are looking at all options.
Are you still short?
Many on here saying shocking report and massive dilution coming... if it was that bad why is it not 20p already?
Exactly... that’s all they mentioned
“If we **** down Again we could need
More money” tbh the same
With every single
Business in the world at this time I bet
It’s normal
practice to come out with that.. some
Businesses arnt even opening up yet, cine has
Opened and revenue is starting to come in again
We have heard today the figures and situation from
When we locked down everything around the world
Fortunately for everyone we are in a far far better situation to what we were in then and things will get better
@Hosai - that’s a fair point and it’s like stating the obvious scenario for a business... I don’t think this government will ever consider a full 2nd lockdown, that will be beyond a disaster for the economy!
They wouldn't have put it in unless it was HIGHLY likely that they will have to raise finances again.
Is it really that surprising if a business notes it has conerns about needing more liquidity in regards to the potential of a government shutting it down for a second time?
Yawn
To sell out yesterday on a false rise.
To sell out yesterday on a false and I won't be buying back until the Covid19 picture becomes a lot clearer or if I see any tempting treeshakes.
This para at the start of the results and in the outlook section says it all and I think there will be both 2 week circuit breaker lockdowns and delays to new releases and therefore the follow on will have to occur (fundraising / liquidity)
"· There can be no certainty as to the future impact of COVID-19 on the Group. If Governments were to strengthen restrictions on social gathering, which may therefore oblige us to close our estate again or further push back movie releases, it would have a negative impact on our financial performance and likely require the need to raise additional liquidity. We have highlighted the potential impact this could have on the Group within our going concern statement in this document"
