@deltalo easier just to filter him and see a green square in his post's place :-)
RNS will come tomorrow or Wednesday, sorry for my outburst, it’s quite out of nature giantsquid, you have your own agenda and I have mine but I apologise for the bad language.
"IF" indeed those two days are indeed a confined date for the appeal then YES I am also very disappointed we do t have an RNS just confirmi.g that by Cineworld.
"IF" it's not well then no concern and back to hoping the latet the better for the appeal.
I do wonder if 2 days is sufficient for both parties to clearly and adequately put forward their cases for both appeal and cross appeal.
Happy Monday!s) all :-)
It's simple, in the event of ever having a nuclear strike share prices really won't matter a fxxx to any of us.
Then pray tell, what brings you to this board, Albumphoto?
All these accusations of either ramping or de-ramping are wide of the mark. Nothing anybody posts on this website, however well written, will have any impact on the share price one way or the other. Those of you who see every dip as another wonderful opportunity to top up must be in clover, the rest of us look at the share price performance over the last 12 months and thank god we're not involved.
I think the squid ran out of lies to deramp with.
What's that message got to do with the thread , talking about cine and your talking about volitile markets and world war 3 , Russia is already at war , and the markets are already incredibly volitile.
Give it a rest
A turn for the worse regards the Ukraine situation could seriously rattle the markets. And right now that's looking like it might happen because Finland and Sweden look likely to join NATO - a move Putin is warning will result in serious consequences (possible nuclear strikes?) Right now the world is teetering on the edge of WW3 it's a more dangerous situation even than the Cuban missile crisis. The stock market is extremely vulnerable right now with so much trouble going on in the world.
Guys guys guys ,chillax ..
Headmaster will soon be out to play to mark all you're papers :-)
Don’t be surprise to see a negative message Income for 2022 just to have a negative tax (income). They will keep the D&A as much higher as possible in order to have a tax income. We will be able to pay back a portion of our debt with that :)
You’ll probably see an RNS tomorrow announcing it, good we have a date and the board are confident in overturning the judgment. In the meantime the film industry is picking up at a pace now so liquidity will increase rapidly throughout this year. All looking up imo.
Rs2002 while I appreciate the responce that acctually understands what the frustration I have is you might want to say that to the thread with 70 replys.
I believe its on them dates , this isn't a thing the court says we will try and fit it in a certain month , for me it's clear the dates have been set , the dates we're surly not just plucked out the sky as some guess in October.
If cineworld know which I believe they do they should of told us as soon as they knew , we are talking dates remember nothing else.
Rickass if you read my post you can't build much of a defence by knowing dates, please understand its cineworld lack of correspondence regarding these dates that annoys me rather then not telling us the appeal process which might effect any dealings in court
Bonkers I believe the reason Cineworld did not announce this is because it is not concrete just yet.
Whilst Hollywood Reporter announced it from an “earning announcement” which was possibly verbal and followed a formal written statement from Cineplex
Can you see this statement about the appeal being heard in October from the formal statement?
Source: https://mediafiles.cineplex.com/press-releases/Q1%202022%20Press%20Release_20220512235127_0.pdf
I cannot.
What I did see however was the following from Cineplex which means these are “forward statements” which cannot be taken as absolute.
“Certain material factors or assumptions are applied in making forward-looking statements and actual results may DIFFER materially from those expressed or implied in such statements. Cineplex cautions readers NOT to place undue reliance on these statements, as a number of important factors, many of which are beyond Cineplex's control, could cause actual results to DIFFER materially from the beliefs, plans, objectives, expectations, anticipations, estimates and intentions expressed in such forward-looking statements. These factors include, but are not limited to, the duration and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Cineplex, the movie exhibition industry and the economy in general, as well as Cineplex's RESPONSR to the COVID-19 pandemic as related to the closure or capacity restrictions of its theatres and LBE venues, employee reductions and other cost-cutting initiatives, and increased expenses relating to safety measures taken at its facilities to protect the health and well-being of customers and employees; Cineplex's expectations with respect to liquidity and capital expenditures, including its ability to meet its ongoing capital, operating and other obligations, and anticipated needs for, and sources of, funds; Cineplex's ability to execute cost-cutting and revenue enhancement initiatives in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; risks generally encountered in the relevant industry, competition, customer, legal, taxation and accounting matters; THE OUTCOME OF THE LITIGATION SURROUNDING THE TERMINATION of the Cineworld transaction; and diversion of management time on litigation related to the Cineworld transaction.
The foregoing list of factors that may affect future results is not exhaustive. When reviewing Cineplex's forward-looking statements, readers should carefully consider the foregoing factors and other uncertainties and potential events. Additional information about factors that may cause actual results to DIFFER materially from expectations and about material factors or assumptions applied in making forward-looking statements may be found in the "Risks and Uncertainties" section of Cineplex's MD&A.”
It reads that Cineplex are uncertain about particular details regarding the litigation so I am not concerned.
Maybe they (mooky) keeping information close as they don’t want cineplex to build any defence against their strategy to close the court order in Cineworld’s favour.
The AGM meeting seemed good and gave me confidence from what information I have gathered as well as mountainous input as he actually attended the meeting.
What I can recommend is hold tight accumulate to lower averages, the next support level from here seems to be 19p, but I don’t think we shall drop any further than here now unless we get unfavourable news.
Typical non communication from Mooky and Co, this has been the case since the court ruling, can't really understand why some people were expecting the SP to increase just because new dates announced for appeal its not as though we know the decision .
Huss mate how on earth would given us a date jeopardise the courts?
It's in the public domain , the full appeal has been shared on here from the chaps that have been bothered to look for it and kind enough to share it.
I'm not asking for a transcript of what they intend to do at court , just confirmation from the people it matters from that a date has been set.
Really isn't a lot to ask for on such a important event
I think at the very minimum we should have been relayed the date that has been set. We found out during the weekend, so RNS should have been out this morning. It would be great if they told us that, but it is what it is.
Maybe it would jeopardise the court bonks? I don’t mind too much, they seem to have hired one of the best teams available for this.
Seriously I can't be the only one.
It has been mentioned numerous times that mooky doesn't often speak , I have been a big defender of this , since being invested he has a knack of saying the right thing at the right time , for instance shutting the doors followed by further liquidity or trading updates etc.
However im not asking them to mention on what the pre sales of Top gun will be , or to reconfirm that he still believes in cineworld , I'm not asking him to give us monthly trading updates or a regular breakdown on how much we make on popcorn.
Dec 2021 we saw the share price drop approx 25% in a day due to a very big substantial judgement, a lot of investors saw any profits wiped or any loses increase ten fold. Cineworld were quick to say we are gonna appeal , we don't believe in this and that etc. And that they will put in a immediate appeal.
The least they could do and I appreciate its my opinion only is to let the share holders know who have big losses that our day in court has been set and we will continue to fight the judgement that's been given to us.
It's not as though they didn't know shareholders wouldn't be interested, the guys that went to the agm brought it up and its my opinion I as a shareholder or anyone reading this should have to find out this very important information by a fellow poster who was kind enough to share it when found.
I choose to hold , my average is now 40p so with luck we see a rise leading up to the court case , may even top slice if this happens as bringing your average down means adding more shares and money then previously wanting.
But have to admit even I am a little disappointed in the lack of communication with the court date, its prob the biggest thing effecting cine right now after all.
