It’s true that nobody knows what the TO price would be if one ever occurs, however in most cases they have to make it substantial enough to win votes, in a nutshell Anewman18 it usually goes to a shareholder vote and they want you to say yes so they will cross your palm with silver enough to push the deal through, your stock holding will then technically disappear and when all is complete you get paid the cash balance into your holding account for the amount of shares held equivalent, sometimes it can be cash and stock, hope this explains it a bit more for you bud, if anyone wants to beef up what I’ve said as I may of missed some technicalities please feel free, GLA for tomorrow :-)
If I thought prices only go up not sure why I ended up down couple of weeks ago lol didn’t panic, knew this rise was coming.
@mark44085 - Absolutely. Regardless of the takeover speculation, I think this is a great recovery play stock at the current prices and like yourself I am heavily invested. I think you’re in good shape on this one with the retirement plan.
I was expecting the share price to rise anyway this week to be honest. However, the takeover speculation that has emerged appears to have whipped up a buying frenzy. Long may it continue.
You don’t lose your shares. U get paid for the takeover price which in this case could be anything between 150-250
It´s "lose" not "loose".....sorry, I am OCD about grammar.
I agree, but even if there is not a takeover, this stock at 52p is a crazy price. Cineworld is the second largest cinema company in the world. I bought 110k at 45p a few weeks ago and the price plummeted to 32p but I wasn´t worried as I knew this was a £1 plus share. Will hold until 2 pound a share and then my retirement is sorted !
Hi,
I am glad CINE are doing well, If Cine get taken over will we loose our shares?
AZN
Sounds about right. I think the attitude of some investors now is probably that it’s worth holding CINE just in case there is a takeover. Every time the press run a piece speculating about it should be good for the share price.
While there is a takeover speculation this share will not hit the 30´s again. Yes, it will go up and down for the next few weeks/months but the bottom has been reached last week and with US opening on the 21st the price can only go up.
