I wished i only had 2k to cry about.
Trading 212 Have Put My £2000 Worth of Cineworld Shares to 0.
This is Very Painful I Am Afraid :(.
Dean, this penny share thing is slightly misleading..the term 'fully paid' in terms of shares means that we, the investors, do not have to pay the company anything more as the shares are 'fully paid'....it just happens that the nominal price of the cine shares was 1 penny. They have 1,373,428,670 of these shares but they don't have £13 million sat around. I'm sorry mate but we've lost everything..hiring lawyers to try to get money back is useless, cineworld were a limited company so you can't go after the directors if they've not broken the law and the money that is/was left would have been used to pay creditors. The new cineworld are a totally separate business. we have to move on. I made a mistake in investing in a company that had massive debts with no possible way of ever paying it off, yes the directors of the company might have been incompetent buy they weren't as far as I know crooked. If it can be shown they cheated in some way then possibly a case to prosecute but I don't think that's the case.
Hi All, apologies for the delay. No update from Acuity Law as yet. They'd expected to able to confirm whether or not they'd be able to represent the case by 17th November (as per my previous post). I'll chase this up with them today and feed back asap.
Ps, Dean36, can you provide additional detail on the 1p payout you reference below? I haven't heard anything about this. Thanks.
@Dean best we can do is wait. The RSA and plan said they will spare share capital of cineworld parent(CINE Shares) And Cineworld Funding.
The London Stock Exchange Says Shareholders Have Been Paid Out at 1p Share Price Fully Paid Each.
The Truth is Trading 212, Freetrade and All Other Brokers Have to Honour This Too Surely.
Also the Companies Act 2006 Says Companies Have to Pay a Nominal Value of Shares to Shareholders Too.
I Phoned Market Operations and They Said That 1p is the Nominal Value of Cineworld Shares Too.
Why is Trading is Still Suspended ????????.
Who benefits from all the cineworld box office takings ?
Any updates? Any final decision on if the law firm will take the case forward? and on what grounds ?
Still find it difficult to understand how Cine is trading and open as normal.
Krooky been keeping very quiet but potentially with all those millions due soon he can afford to keep his head down.
I registered my holdings before , do i need to do anything i hadnt been in for a while either i had given up i hold a fair pickle if these shares or i did 😂

Thanks
Have not look in for awhile, but that is a nice surprise'' thanks for the update CHIP, we are all grateful for your time and effort
speak soon...
Interesting news. If they give the go ahead in November, please let us know what the strongest points / issues are that we have a high likely hood of winning OR at least to get some sort of settlement from CINE.
When the this done and dusted I am treating wolfie to a steak dinner :-)
Trading212 simply states Instrument has been delisted. I'm assuming any legal action would incorporate all trading platforms on our behalf?
Thanks
Liam
A positive update - Acuity Law have agreed, pending final agreement by their advising council, to represent the shareholder group's case on a no-win, no-fee basis. Final go-ahead (which we hope will be given, but it cannot be guaranteed as yet) is likely to be provided between 6-17th November. I'll share a further update as soon as possible.
Any legal updates ?
According to Alix Partners.
Various on the London Stock Exchange.
Total Cineworld Shareholders 1,373,428,670 Have a Total of 0.01p Fully Paid Share Price Each.
Check on Companies House.
No update as yet, Acuity Law is continuing to go through the group's compiled documentation. I'll provide an update on here as soon as one is available. Thanks
From my understanding Mooky is located in Israel? Given the current events and climate, I would not be mad if he got dealt with and significantly impacted. Given how he screwed so many of us over.
Hey, are there any updates to the law firm selection, confirmation for the UK case?
