No AP. Means no Char.
Remember all those oil co listed on AIm. The AIM model is not the same just as Char the elephant hunter. Look how Sirius minerals transitioned from business model. I threw money at on oil prospector turned into gas storage. Prospector only to become HAL.. a prospective ship builder !!
listening to JMW is just like listening to Rupert Cole XEL.. could be forgiven for thinking they attended the same school of BS. Like an old Terence Thomas flick and the old school tie
It’s all about being the middle man. Without AP there is no Chariot.
Annual report shows they own 100% of Chariot Namibia. Isn't this there off shore interest? Should be worth something.
Don't they still have an interest in Namibia?

“NAMCOR has requested that Chariot remain engaged in the partnering process through a zero cost option to back-in after exploration drilling in recognition of the depth of understanding of the Chariot team of these licenses and the quality of technical work performed.

Thx Jimmy.
I'd imagine Chariot must be bosted by the Galp news...plus, as they now have an experienced operator on board in Morocco, I'd imagine there may be some interesting discussions about that 10% opt-in.
Whatever happens, it's another string in Chariot's bow!
@jimmy23
imagine if they have kept that license
Norviking.
Chariot had previously identified a very large stratigraphic trap for natural to the west of its block 2714 .
In light of the nearby oil discoveries it might now be considered viable as an oil target
The licence is held by namcor and chariot were to assist in farming out in exchange for a right to be granted 10% after a well had been drilled by a new party.
Perhaps someone in chariot could advise further.
Jimmy
Just 6 trades so far for a volume of 186000. No change in the sp as we haven’t had an AT trade yet. Let’s hope the onshore drilling news arrives soon.
Jimmy - thx for that info.
What are the potential implications for CHAR on this news?..and how would this work - if CHAR wanted to exercise the opt-in for the 10%, would there be a (big) cost assocaited with that? Can they sell the opt-in rights to the main/another operator?
Thanks.
Ramadan and even the school holidays are over what can we blame the delay on now🤷♂️Answers on a postcard or just post them below😁
Any one seen our rig???🙈
Suresh,
Chariot have a residual back in rights for 10% to block 2714 in Namibia, which is adjacent and contiguous to galps, giant oil discovery.
Jimmy
I suspect that Energean are keen to get on with this.... They have been clear about Morocco, potentially, representing a key point of diversification to their existing geographies and therefore getting clarity sooner rather than later will suit them. AP has also talked about their ability to potentially accelerate Anchois production timescales if they choose to, although he wasn't clear on the how.
There is some interesting activity on the near term horizon : Loukos, Anchois, Strategic Review on Power arm, with heavy newsflow in the next 3-4 months.
As someone highlighted recently, you can only sell once (in relation to persistent selling)...

Thanks, Thebold appreciate your input.
With the Shell drill looking like it'll be completed by mid-June, there looks to be plenty of time to complete all those items and still commence during July. But my main point was to demonstrate that first and foremost Q3 not only looks very much on (so no delays) but also that early Q3 is most likely.
Hi BBN,
The drill ship would come on a reduced mobilisation rate / unit cost at a contractually agreed time from demob with Shell to spud with us. There will be a large movement of kit from shell contract to our one . Normally my experience is after TD called on final well and all logs/ cores/tests are completed, it would be circa a week or so to fully demob the outgoing operators rental and ancilary kit etc. not common for all service spreads to be same for new operator, so a fair bit of shuffling will be needed, I imagine she may come in to port somewhere as well between the 2 contracts.
The Shell drill began on w/c 8th April so at the same drill duration as their first well (c. 2 months), it would be completed by mid-June.
I estimate c.20 days sailing from the North East El-Amriya block to Anchois.
Looking at the latest information about Shell's offshore Egypt campaign the Stena Forth could be on-site at Anchois as early as July.
With on shore likely gearing up next week it is set to be a busy few months for CHAR.

Where is the A trader this morning, are they having a lay in?
Around the end of Q1 is turning into middle of Q2. An update would be appreciated soon...
Onsolid it feels like you are wishing your life away waiting on news🤔
Is it another week closer or is it another week overdue🤷♂️
Anyone seen our rig 👀😣
Well that's another week and weekend out the way so it can't be long until SDX hit their target depth and we start to get news of the Star Valley 101 Rig heading our way.
Gooner, as Wimax says, more to it than that. Are you on the chariot telegram group Gooner ?
With respect Gooner, that’s a load of pish!
Just saying.
Still no RNS of holding despite 100m of buys 2weeks ago. this needs to be reported soon otherwise one can see this is being manipulated.
how much did the mystery buyer accumulate?
