Its ok Chas Sukari is isolated within a military controlled ares 500 miles from Cairo, not much enters there,be assured.
Yes, apologies, I should have worded it better.
Egypt was reporting that the virus had spread to the western part of the Saraha desert in their country.
I've since found out that Sukari is some 250mls from the desert,
Chas, western Sahara boundaries are Atlantic coast to Mauritania, south of Canary isles,so nothing to worry about approx same distance from Sukari as is UK ,lol.

Hi Siko,
Great to hear from you.
Good of you to confirm the actual situation in Eygpt!
Hope that you and the family are all well!
Re- (some of them told the Guardian they lacked protective equipment and were struggling to get vital tests for themselves and patients).. This article is from May, more than a month ago.. the PPE situation in Egypt is much better now, and the points the article raised were exactly the same as what had happened in UK.. so if UK suffered a lack of PPE and tests were limited to certain people at the beginning and doctors could not get tested unless they showed symptoms.. so I don't find it strange for the same things to happen in Egypt with its much less financial capabilities and weaker health system.
The overall Covid19 situation in Egypt is much better than UK, total death just over 2k, of course the real number is higher, but nowhere near the UK 40k.
Also Egypt was one of the very few countries which agreed to sell PPE to UK during the peak, while many countries banned all exports of PPE, a decision which the Egyptian government said it was important to help UK during the peak period.
I agree with you Mr Bond,
The reason the UK government had to resort to the "Save the NHS" propaganda campaign was to try and conceal just how overstretched the NHS is due to decades of under investment, privatisation, out sourcing and running on a JIT supply system.
Perhaps if our government had been spending peoples national Insurance contributions on the NHS instead of using them to pay off the UK deficit then the NHS would have been better equipped and able to deal with the Covid -19 pandemic.
Putting Egypt in perspective,it is apparent they are in a better position than both UK or USA, and many others as far as the grim figures show.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/global-development/2020/may/21/egypt-doctors-ppe-testing-coronavirus
Egyptian doctors are increasingly at odds with their own government on the country’s coronavirus outbreak, pleading for protections and a full lockdown even as the authorities urge people to learn to “coexist” with Covid-19.
A wave of government propaganda has hailed healthcare workers as the “white army”, a reference to their white coats. But some of them told the Guardian they lacked protective equipment and were struggling to get vital tests for themselves and patients.
