RE: Eureka! I know what the 'missing' land is for...9 Sep '20
Hi Cowicahan, Strange you should mention that, I thought it was just some rumour going around of an idea for greater efficiency, safety and security reasons to fly the gold out by military controlled transport from a more convenient closer location.
Europe mixed premarket as AstraZeneca trials stall9 Sep '20
Major European stocks traded mixed in the premarket trade on Wednesday after news that COVID-19 vaccine developer AstraZeneca had to temporarily stop its trials in the United Kingdom due to the possibility the shot caused severe side effects in one participant of the study.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to trouble the continent, with France registering another 6,500 new COVID-19 cases and the United Kingdom reintroducing restriction measures to contain the spreading.
The DAX and the CAC 40 traded flat at 7:24 am CET, while on the other hand, the FTSE 100 concurrently dropped 0.34%. The euro stood flat against the dollar to go for $1.17812 at 7:25 am CET, and the pound lost 0.07% to sell for $1.29714 a minute later.
"You were so worried about legal and illegal that you never stopped to think about whether it was right or wrong.” ? Terry Pratchett, Snuff
Every world spins in pain. If there is any kind of supreme being, I told myself, it is up to all of us to become his moral superior.” It is this stance that reconciles the two seeming opposite poles of Pratchett's political philosophy: his cynical distrust of authority and his fundamental humanism.15 Jul 2019 Terry Pratchet
Looking on the positive side ,the prospects now missing cannot go to a carpetbagger. Besides there are many more years of mining to be done on the current site as well as West Africa. Unless there is another twist in the tail, regarding this very unforeseen episode of intrigue.
The interesting thing now is why the 5 areas were taken out of the tender process. - Picked-up by Cowichan with his eagle-eye, it would appear there is a strategy in-play. - I wonder what it is and how it affects Centamin.
Thank you Siko - Well, there we are, we're in the picture. - We now know why an extension was granted. - I only hope the courts are not involved in the decision making. I must say, I thought there was an announcement on the 15th. - I should have been more thorough in my understanding. Let's hope the theory about leaving applications to the very last-minute is correct. If it isn't, I wonder where that leaves everything.

I had a look, a spokesman at the petroleum ministry and EMRA said that they took out 5 areas out of the tenders. He did not say why. Also until 2 weeks ago no companies applied at all, but he said companies tend to apply towards the closing date (15th Sept). Also don't expect results or any news on the 15th. That's the closing date, then they study and consider all the applications.
Europe higher premarket amid new vaccine optimism8 Sep '20
European shares traded higher premarket on Tuesday after Russian Health Ministry announced the Sputnik V vaccine against the COVID-19 entered circulation. Previously, British Health Secretary Matt Han**** said he expects the vaccine will "most likely" be available in "in the first few months of next year."
The DAX rose by 0.21% at 7:30 am CET, while at the same time the CAC 40 grew 0.09% and the FTSE 100 increased by 0.08% at 8:36 am CET.
The euro lost 0.09% to the dollar to sell for $1.18032 at 7:32 am CET, while a minute later the pound sterling decreased by 0.29% to exchange hands for $1.31302.
From 27th Sept 2013 You have to realise that the 3km is a complete red herring. The proof of license submitted by CEY at the end of last year is for the whole 160km. This has been acknowledged by the admin court and all of the judges in the supreme court - if this was not so Cey would not have been able to have continued mining, which does as we speak. There is a lot of noise around what the arguments are about, almost all of them wildly inaccurate, this being probably the most farcical of them all.
Cey has and continues to adhere to all of the conditions set in the original rule of law when they were granted the license. If they have transgressed this they would have been shut down a long time ago, let alone having spent close to $1bn on building Sukari.
Centamin – CEY LN – thorn removed with arrest of main opponent to Sukari • As operations continue their smooth progress and the company moves towards 500k oz for 2015, enabling the company to recently raise its dividend to a healthy ~3.7%, the story looks in good health. • But one issue which has continued to hold back the company over recent years has been the blight of the court cases it has faced in Egypt, spear-headed by one particular individual (Hamdy Fakharany). So it is especially comforting to see management’s long-stated view (that this individual was only out for personal gain and they would not bow to his demands) corroborated by the fact that he has been arrested after being caught attempting to bribe a company facing a similar legal situation to CEY. • He had sought payment from CEY in order for their court troubles to “disappear” which the company had consistently ignored – and that tactic looks like it will now pay off. Clearly it won’t be overnight progress, but as we have long-stated, the court cases facing the company have not been brought by the State, but rather an individual with an agenda. Now that this individual is likely removed, the company is in a solid position to continue unimpeded its strong operational progress. • Remains my top pick of the growing, established lower cost producers and with a healthy dividend yield on top, it screens extremely well versus all peers.
Europe higher premarket with EU-UK relations in focus7 Sep '20
Shares on major European stock markets were higher in trading on Monday after a report revealed an intention of the United Kingdom to introduce its Internal Market BIll that could affect the post-Brexit trade relations with the European Union, while the UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said that the coming week will be crucial in the negotiations. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnsson is reportedly expected to announce today a new hard deadline for finalizing the trade agreement with the bloc.
The DAX was up by 0.67% at 7:59 am CET, while the FTSE 100 gained 0.76% at the same time. The CAC 40 increased by 0.71% at 8:02 am CET.
The euro declined dipped 0.07% against the dollar at 8:01 am CET, buying 1.18316, while the pound sterling was down 0.45% versus the greenback, to go for 1.32207 a minute later.
RE: Rebess --> Regarding The Missing section Of Area G6 Sep '20
Anyone have any idea as to size of each block? Am i right in assuming that each block is based on centamins original 160km area and not the 3km one that they're currently mining? If so then isn't the government using centamins legally disputed allocation as a blueprint for the rest of the other mining areas? You would think that someone would give the courts a nudge if that is the case!
