am Imissing something here- who is buing still and the spis above ther offer price - w2hat does it mean anyone who knows these matters please!
I hope I had it wrong last time. I think they are offering me 200% on my initial shares, and I get the the profit I have made in 8 months off these shares, which is 145%, so hoping I am right, I will have done quite well for 8 months, 345% up ???
Wayne
Why r people still buying not to make a few penny’s per share
Don't accept then, and hope more than half the shareholders agree with you. As it's recommended by management though, the chance of this is between very slim and none. Take your profit and move on would be my tip.
Well I dont want this, as if it goes in, I only get around £100 more ??? Yes I am up around £2400, in 10 months, but as Mad Studios are in as well, thus I think they will go much higher ???
Wayne
It is not a bid takeover where you have to accept - it is being done as a Scheme of Arrangement under the Companies Act. You get a vote but if it goes through everyone is bound by it and, yes, it is all cash as opposed to the previous bid by TTWO which was a mixture of cash and shares.
EA bidding 604p cash per share. If you accept you will get the cash and no longer have the shares. At some prescribed level, the deal will go 'unconditional' which means all holders have to accept - not sure what level EA have set this at as I sold all my shares back in December.
Codemasters Group Holdings Limited is seeking shareholder approval for a (recommended) cash acquisition. I dont get this, they are offering me some cash, just over what I have in H & L, does this mean if I have that cash I still have my stocks {cash} still in the new firm that takes over, or do I just have that cash, and I am not have any stocks in the new firm that takes over ???
Wayne
....there goes your bidding war. Looks like 604 is the price then.
good for you buddy. It feels so good when shares go through the roof
Wow. I was here from £340.. the bid came in about 485 ( bit of cash and shares in TT) and the BoD were all over the acceptance. Edged over 500p and I thought that was more than enough.. and now it’s > 640.can’t believe it..
Unbelievable.... yet another share climbs unexpectedly, shortly after I sell out. I really thought it had topped out at the offer price of 485 a few weeks ago. Sold for a decent profit and took it off my watch list, so I don't see the price and regret, but today it appeared in the top-risers and I had to check if it was the same company. A slap in the face from fate - but with profit I shouldn't grumble. Good luck to those who hold!
Well someones definitely still buying this if its not anybody here i winder who is and what they know.
Its a bit suspect that an rns for a short appeared today too as if to put people off.
The fair valuation of 604p has been exceeded and more than crept up despite all this.
Theres more to this than whats widely known
I went into Sumo when Codemasters got their first offer from TT. I sold half of my CDM position today, riding the wave on the rest. Sumo seemed to be the second cheapest gaming stock after CDM, though brokers think gaming will slow down next year when things start going back to normal. Let's wait and see...
In the last annual report the BoD noted they didn't expect the lockdown boost to continue. There is also the notion that they have failed to branch out of racing at least three times and so their target market is limited.
The F1 contract is basically what the cash flows are predicated on going forward and how safe that contract is with them.
If the BoD were just a bit more positive I would have stuck around. But I made more than 70% and happy with that.
I sold out before this offer came in putting the proceedes into Sumo, which is up over 20% on my purchase price.
Well done to all those who stayed invested.
Sorry for the record i know noting about TTs business model at all. So don't know at all what they would be prepared to stretch to.
Clearly the market expects there to be a response and by the looks of it an increase of about 6%. Its true it was always going for a steal, but personally a 130% increase in a year, (from my trade history my first purchase was 18 / 12 / 20 , the subsequent one in Jan was better!) the risk of loosing the 34p per share premium the market is currently putting on this
hare is quite considerable. Unless someone happens to now TT's business model a lot better than i do, now could be a good time to get out. From recollection though they only have about 2 weeks to make the offer don't they?
Also consider the psychology of americans.
They dont like to lose.
Add psychology of auction/bidding they might want to make the opposing side really pay up for it if they want it
I understand completely
Im just looking ahead
Its been creeping up since spring. Nobody knows where it will stop and 30% is a fine gain.
I think this has so much more to give. Im surprised the board doesn’t have many more contributors this morning.
Good luck in your endeavours gary.
With the launch of playstation 5 with its new controller focussing on sensations of movement through buttons driving games are great for that.
Also new games are thin on the ground for the new console.
The new xbox has no games yet.
This is a great investment
I would not be selling but holding or buying or topping up.
EA are paying quite a substantial premium IMO. Probably fairly valued at this levels.
Codemasters is really all about Formula 1 which has historically generated the majority of profits. So it's how valuable you think that franchise is vs peers.
... for a 150% gain in less than 12 months. Well done to everyone who made good money here - always nice when an AIM stock comes in! Onto the next one.....:-)
What do you think this is worth per share ?
