Clivey , lol. I’ve done about 30 cruises with various lines and never been barked at yet.
Only time I’ve ever been barked at was on an internal Aeroflot flight in Siberia.
I’ve bought a few more this morning using up some of Her Ladyship’s ISA allowance. K
Good luck to you Ken. Can you say it will be 'fun' though? Having your every move monitored and running the risk of being barked at by a staff member? Wearing a pointless piece of damp cloth over half your face for most of the trip? Come on.
I've never been interested in the on-board credit thing with my shares., to be honest. I bought them purely in a hope for capital growth rather than a negligible amount of freebies or even dividends ... Still - try and enjoy it - we might even bump into one another on deck one day, once the restrictions are dropped PROPERLY (Because I am NOT getting a booster, end of story).
Until then, I'm afraid - I'm out.
Clivey, With 250 shares you hold far more than most individual investors in CCL who hold the minimum 100 required to qualify for on board credit.
I’m triple vaxxed and ready to go next month and looking forward to it.
Like most people in the UK, I've had 2 doses of AZ and I'm not going to participate in this madness any longer.
I'm not 'selfish' and I'm not putting anyone else at 'risk', EC - I'm just realistic. You get a cold, then you get a cold. Boo hoo.
I have no qualms about going on a cruise right now - I just want it to be normal.
Normal, by the way, does not include wearing a filthy piece of cloth over half my face or just talking to those people I embarked with and keeping a 'distance' from all other guests!
Until cruising returns to normal I won't be buying one, and nor should anyone else. I'm speaking as a holder of 250 shares in Carnival UK by the way - Ok, it's not a lot, and I'm not as rich as the likes of you EC, but I have my principles. As soon as the SP hits £17 I'm selling, whether or not sanity has prevailed. I'm out. This whole thing is bonkers, and I want my life back.
AParky.
I might understand some hesitancy for a vacccine that has only just arrived and had only been tested on say 10,000 people over say a 6 months. Most of the vaccines available now have been given to hundreds of millions of people and have been is use for nearly 2 years. I'm afraid that my opinion is that anyone who is over 40 and has no medical reason to not have a vaccine and has not had one is a complete fool. They endanger their own lives (presumably they don't realise this?), then endanger their family (and they don't understand this?) , friends and anyone else that come into contact with. Apart from that if they do get ill they stress out their family, the doctors, nurses and cost the NHS hundreds of thousands of pounds. I think they are the most selfish people on Earth. I think th NHS should send them the bill if they get severely ill because if they had any sense they would thave the vaccine and so not get ill in the first place. Unbelievable people.
All IMHO.

RIP Meat Loaf.
Emerald your comments on the American population is a bit questionable regarding vaccination, they have the right to choose. One of them even said he would do anything for love (how romantic) but he won't do that.
Israel >64,000 Covid 19 cases in one day despite nearly all being triple jabbed , that’s the equivalent of over 415,000 cases compared to UK population that is 6.5x that of Israel. Covid 19 is a long long way from being over, with new variant of concern in Denmark and UK. A lot of countries may block Cruise Ships from docking if things start getting worse?

Until the War starts with Russia !! seems to be one thing after another ironically the world is a different place but I'm sure will all come good spring time.
Make that 4.9% down.
The market is sometimes completely mad as we all should know.
Omicron, by the looks, will be the last covid problem for many months, if not years.
It just needs to wash through the various countries in the world.
USA has a bigger problem because it appears 25% or so of their population do not have the intelligence to look at the facts and come to the conclusion they should get a vaccine.
The UK and most of Europe seem to have worked that out.
Cruise line shares should be going UP, not down. It's MAD.
Only down 5.4% now.
How daft.
In 4 weeks or so I'm sure cruise ships will be sailing happily with the crew ans passengers vaccinated. It's pretty obvious.
All IMHO.

at the end of the tunnel for cruise ships in my opinion.
It's proven that vaccinated people who get Omicron are almost certain NOT to get seriously ill.
Also you are less likely to catch it.
So on a ship with......HELLO.... vaccinated crew ans passengers the risk is obviously LOW.
WE KNOW THIS.
A screaming buy......... it's dowm 5.8%, was down 6.8%.
IMHO should be UP 6%.
All IMHO.
