Just had a message from Interactive investor that BXP is no longer eligible to be held in an ISA. Apparently it is not traded on an HMRC recognised stock exchange!
JOLLY - Dividend yield of 4% or more is mighty good from a fast growing pharmaceutical company with expanding global reach. Bangladesh based investors with voting shares receive exlactly the same dividend, but pay twice the price for their shares,
Imagine GSK or BP non-voting shares with protected full dividend rights at at half price.... would you pounce or wait to buy ....?!
divi you'll receive will be lower in £s than last year...not much more than 2p/gdr (4% yield)
that's not madly high imv
tp 6-7% yield ==> sp<40p
Confirmation also that the company is fast growing still.....I like that....They could not say it if it was still not true......Fast growing....I like that....
Yep, cash dividend on its way (see RNS today).
Just time to reinvest the divi first.
Half year results should move this .....Should be well over 100p again....
In just over a week or so we should have the half year results.
Jolly - Great thiings will indeed come to those who buy now at current low price (arouind 50p) and wait patiently.
Best fill your boots whilst the price is still so remarkably - unjustified - low.
My boots are ful.
sometimes come to those who wait
#patiently
Bezza - BDT 13.7 = GBP 10.7p at current exchange rate.
Pretty good though: Earnings Per Share 10.7p for shares priced at around 50p at curremnt low trading price.
Mind you, our correspondent Jolly would not want to buy the shares at current half price, he is more interested
in voting rights. Very few private investors are interested in voting.
I never, ever vote., I leave it to the major shareholders
Are there any broker reports on BXP?
Like to do some research.
Any incumbents like to shine the torch. Cheers.
One thing I’ve noticed is that (according to Stockopedia) there are still no broker forecasts for 2024, only 2023, which puts eps @ 13.7 BDT (11.7p?).
Pedro - Well said, I could not add more to that, the BXP shares here are at bargain basement bottom price, time to buy is now ratjher than wait for the rise which inevitably will come in the not too distant future. The gap between the price hire and the price in Dhaka is absolutely bound to narrow over time. So dividends, plus narrowing price gap, what's not to like.
Jolly is deperate to see the share price down further, he want to wade in in at the lowest possible price, which - he is yet to realise - is alrealdy there, right now. So Jolly, stop spouting bullsh.t, wade in now, you are not yet too late.
The opportunity to invest at this level should not be passed up.....very happy not to vote....I am getting 2 shares for the price of 1 share in Dhaka....fully backed by 2 shares in trust...i.e. lodged in a bank account that cannot be touched....This company has a fantastic record of growth and fantastic dividend.....let the investors paying twice the price vote....whatever they vote for will be to their interests and as a result our interests.....this discount will not be available for long if history of the last 10 years is repeated....
Jollyspeculator.....Stop talking rubbish...this is a bargain and is above the normal discount.....never seen it higher than this....I have been in over 10 years....this is the biggest discount in those 10 years.....With even greater prospects for the company.....so much to look forward to.......low PE....growth company in a growth and low cost country...in a growth arena with fantastic management and dividend.....not too mention modern plant and technology.......nothing not to like....
and have fallen to below 90% of sp in Dhaka in the past
voting is valuable and the discount for non voting is volatile / sentiment driven
tp 35p
Jolly - We live inthe present, forget about the past.
BXP is a globally respected company, the shares here at less than half price of the shares on the Dhaka stock exchange,
are at bargain basement level, dirt cheap.
winnings...lol
interesting about overhang sold...the sp fall of GDRs has been much faster than in the past
Well, strangely I actually got voting papers (and voted). First time ever as I have held for many years. Probably a mistake somewhere!
As for the price, yeah, totally underpriced and ignored. The lower it goes the more I buy so not that unhappy.
Big issue this year has been the sell down by Asia Frontier Capital. It was a massive 7% of their fund and has been reduced considerably. That should remove that overhang for 2023.
Jolly - You are probably a failed assistant fund manager, your comments give me the impression that you know a little about finance but not nearly enough.
does anon lead to anim?
Jolly, "anonymity" - I think you meant 'animosity' hehe
as well lol
Expert at talking tripe!
