BATM Advanced Communications
BATM is an Israeli-based technology business with interests in cyber security, networking, and medical technology.
As I write, BATM shares are trading for 22p. At this time last year, they were trading for 32p, which is a 31% drop over a 12-month period. Macroeconomic volatility, but especially the war, has pushed the shares down.
The obvious risk for the firm is the current geopolitical picture in the Middle East. Continued conflict could hurt performance, sentiment, and growth. In addition to this, larger competitors in its industry with much more money and resources could out-muscle the firm.
However, I’m impressed by BATM’s performance and growing presence. Between June and December, it racked up $32m of orders. Its half-year period to the end of June saw revenue, profit, and margins all rise too. The business also looks to have a healthy balance sheet too.
I’m hoping for a peaceful resolution in the current conflict. It would also be good news for BATM, and I think this is one small-cap to keep an eye on.
At just over 22p a share, I’d be willing to open a small position the next time I have some cash to invest. I reckon there’s plenty of room for growth, especially as we hurtle towards the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution and governments continue to increase spending to ward off digital threats!

Moving back to 30p soon
Ahh I was miss-informed, the $26 million order was in 2023. Any ideas as to what caused this recent increase in SP? Doesn't seem to be news related. Maybe just a bit of mean reversion
Good start to the week for BATM as they company have secured a significant government cyber security order valued at USD 26 million, would be good to get a strong drive up to 30 over the coming weeks to maintain momentum.
Positive price action recently, hopefully this can keep up!
The large buy on the 5th Jan 2024 would suggest that someone is in the know....

Does look like a double bottom. But that buy signal is just for an hour, not so good for week/month
Not that I put too much faith in charting as has rarely worked for me. I do like BVC though

Extracts from Forbes article over weekend:
As the number of connected devices continues to rise, edge computing has a chance to prove itself as a pivotal technology, fundamentally reshaping how we approach the processing and analysis of data. It’s already catching the eyes of experts, as its global value is projected to reach $317 billion by 2026. By the same year, the network edge data centers may grow to just under 1,200 from approximately 250 in 2022.
In contrast to traditional cloud computing, edge computing positions data processing closer to the point of data generation, thereby substantially decreasing latency and improving overall efficiency. It may be crucial when real-time processing and decision-making are integral to industries ranging from healthcare to autonomous vehicles.
As with every major technology, edge computing comes with unique challenges. To benefit from its advantages, we need to overcome certain obstacles. Some of the main concerns include the security and privacy of vast amounts of data transmitted and processed, as well as the initial cost it involves. Although it can ultimately help reduce the costs of operations and other processes, it may require a significant investment at the adoption stage.
You must weigh the advantages against your concerns and decide how and to which extent adopting edge computing technology can contribute to your business. Undoubtedly, it can be a real game-changer across industries, and we can only expect its significance to grow in the coming years or even decades.
Yep still a strong buy on investing.com further indicating how undervalued the SP is. I managed to buy some on the dip and I am averaging down nicely since i still have some in at 30.

Weekly chart is forming a bottom it seems.
Tel Aviv BATM rising - Sunday trading - when while London go 7 days too.
Looking forward to see how BATM will allocate their healthy cash reserves in 2024. In my view there will be many opportunities for BATM to exploit throughout the year.
Resistance i hope so, looking forward to the january effect!
Hoping this share will exit its slumber soon. Year end results will obviously provide a boost but that is still a while away. Contract news due soon as we are well overdue positive news.
2024 expected EPS growth of +125% and total revenue of 153.6 $M …. As stated before Revenue and profits are forecasted to be up in all divisions for H2, so at a guess around the 65p + IP value, I personally like Telco Systems Edgility’s which is expected to deliver significant carbon reduction as well as a 60% lower total cost of ownership compared to existing solutions over a 4-year period and has been given quite a few prestigious awards, worth more than this sp on its own!
Last trading day of the year. BATM hasn't had the best year but many analysts are predicting a strong 2024. What are people's price prediction for end of next year?
Near it's all time low! Far fewer companies and governments will trade with Israel when the war is over. Except the US who will award themselves all the lucrative back handed reconstruction contracts.
Yes, the crisis in Israel may potentially lead to increased orders for BATM's products and services, driving growth opportunities for the company as governments seek to bolster their security and defense infrastructure.
Pedrobull, its hard to say whether BATM can grow with a sustained period of war but if any company can do it surely its BATM. It's essential to note that the impact on the company's growth would depend on various factors, including the scale and duration of the conflict, government budget allocations, and global geopolitical dynamics. Whilst the heightened security concerns could create growth opportunities for BATM, im not sure how this would be reflected in the SP due to uncertainty. Time will tell.
If anything the crisis in Israel will only increase their growth, especially in times of conflict, governments often increase their defense budgets to enhance their military capabilities. This can lead to increased orders for military equipment, communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions - areas BATM specialise in.
