Fingers crossed that the bad guys come unstuck either financially or by law. Across the pond they have way more prosecutions than the UK. It is barelynsingle figures a year. Pathetic.
Interesting points Brucie, but I'm thinking macro dude not micro ;)
Not 100% true. If the mm is running a long book she may accumulate stock so then buy and sell won't match. Or the reverse may be so with a short book. All very do confusing I know. And then there are other factors like stoxk borrowwing cfds options which can all have an effect.
Agree dodge, but it looks like the garbage is being blown away , so hopefully a cleaner path upward
As intimated the culprits wil not be brought to book..
Daily occurrence and a blind eye is turned to it because
it is "acceptable" and goes with the territory....
The City has been caught out too many times and very
few get prosecuted unless it hurts one of their own, then
they cry foul and the authorities MIGHT take action.
Will, take no notice to Trades data as it is always inaccurate.
For starters the sell and buy figures are always equal.
Every share bought has to be sold by someone, simple.
The only details worth noting are the size of sells or buys
TBH, given the shorting shenanigans she's holding up well. When the shorters stop peeing in the fountain she's bump up nicely. Good gains won't happen till NASDAQ listing IMHO but this little puppy should be £10 to £12 in my view now, when the shorter thugs move on it should pop up the rungs of the ladder nicely. Remember the BUR big boys are doing a European tour, probably to get interest in piling into a NASDAQ listing (again my view) so interesting to see what comes out of this European tour. Anyone seen any news on this visit to Europe, I can find diddly squat
Well the ALGO’s still have their vice grip on the price here and whilst volume has come down quite a bit here since the market manipulation allegations, it is being played like a fiddle with, I suspect, the same trading money being churned around day in day out. The larger investors who were not spooked by the mud slinging and who remain invested will be keen to know what else the company will be doing to restore faith in the business before they invest more. A waiting game for the investors and an active game for the traders. No-one knows if the SEC are going to come down hard on those who conspired to drive the price down and indeed even if they do it is difficult to be sure what impact this would have on the share price. As someone with a large investment I would like to think it would recover a large chunk of the drop but in this market who can tell. One thing that I can be sure about however is that being able to write a scathing report about a listed company ( refuted by BOD) which is jumped on by short funds destroying shareholder value which has taken years to build, almost overnight will encourage more of this behaviour, not less. What may change this is severe sanction by the regulators if they find against those responsible but I am sure that I am not the only shareholder sceptible in the extreme. Perhaps the BOD have decided to move on and let the numbers do the talking and if this is the case I would expect them to update the market.
Sharp bounce expected from these levels. Shorts given more chances.

True of all stocks. I taught stock exchange at night school. My students often asked how a share or market would behave. My response " it will fluctuate". All forecasts are wrong including mine.
Folks - No point arguing around...
In the absence of new news, to be honest not a single person in this board or otherwise(that includes me) has a clue how BURFORD stock will behave on a day to day basis in the short term. Holders will say it will be up. Shorters(or those who want to get back in) will say it will be down..
I am holding since 570 levels, as I believe they have a good business regardless of allegations. Although I want it up every single day, I have no idea how it will behave on a daily basis in the short term. A new news could trigger a significant change. Long term it will be up and hence my heavy investment, but that's just my view and I am happy to hold at this stage...
Let us accept this fact. If you have some insights to share please write (either up or down), else why waste time?
