Anyone any thoughts as to the SP on Thursday? Apart from the projected couple of hundred million squid profit it does seem this company needs a bit of direction to move the SP up
I don't like to ramp stuff but we might see a little rise going into the close period statement. The market seems to think this is a buy and at the targets they're indicated, it's something of a screaming one!
Stifel Reiterates Buy with TP of 725p this morning. Saw an immediate strong positive reaction on SP.
Market didn't particularly like it, it seems.
That's what I would expect.
On Thursday then. Presumably we'll get an idea of what the numbers look like this year before we go into the closed period.
Yes, we came to that conclusion a couple of weeks ago.
Up and down like a yo yo share price getting played with
Sorry I meant newbie in btg thank you for info

Can anyone tell me when market update is due thank you
I was thinking more about market sentiment towards the sector as a whole and a perceived potential for future sales growth in a more stable environment. There certainly seems to have been a recovery since the Bill was pulled. Let's hope it continues.
Which BTG products are dispensed via Obamacare ?
As of early Monday morning yes the SP has risen, let's hope it stays that way
Bought another large chunk of shares here Friday. Update not far away.
"Obamacare" stays for the time being. I would expect this to ease some of the pressure on the SP as the possible immediate cuts to healthcare spending are at least postponed, and possibly cancelled, although some uncertainty remains in the mid/long term. Am I reading this right?
Adjusted gross profit in the first half was £197.4m (H1 2015/16: £160.8m)
Just gone through the H1 report again for 2016-17 and revenues were up strongly in all areas. Total revenue was up 24% vs H1 2015-16 FY EPS projection of minimum 28p equates to a P/E of around 20 which is fine and even a little low for a 'growth company'. NO DEBT and net cash of £140M. 52 week high of 739p. Does seem undervalued regardless of US politics. I do think the BOD need to introduce a dividend, even a small one i.e. 1-2% to encourage SP growth.
Ahh yes, the Trump effect. That's certainly playing on the sector. The indecision of the repeal/replace Bill, general uncertainty, and there were some statements in "his" budget regarding withdrawal of funding from scientific research, which may also colour sentiment in general. Being an optimist, I'm taking his influence as purely temporary as the US recovers from its temporary insanity / Russian coup.
It's quite possible the price is being affected by the Trump stalemate re the repeal of Obamacare. Long term this co -appears solid - and there's a definite upside (this isn't the AIM market after all), as indicated by the broker updates and so on. If the updates are good it may rocket. If they're bad then I doubt there is much downside from this level. Some obviously but not a huge amount.
Same here. In for a penny, in for a pound, I've bought in again to average down my position. Am hoping this activity is being perpetrated to blow the stop orders in advance of positive news. If I'm wrong, it's going to be a long haul. From my point of view, this is still a good company with massive upside potential. It won't take much of a positive nudge to leap up, and we've already got to be close to bottom after the JP Morgan neutral reiteration. IMVHO
Amazing this SP given that a trading update is just round the corner and the broker ratings. Wish I'd dived out at 600p and bought back in at these levels.
fully agree.
is an absolute case in point re strange trading patterns.
April, sorry.
