A decent spike in the oil price (if it all kicks-off with Iran) will provide some support.
... thorn) by any other name! Still, it pays a decent div.
Even if bloodbath with Brexit, this is a commodity trust, not dependent on UK at all. That being so, would not investing here be a hedge of sorts??
Hi , not tempted , just sold out on marston and closed a large short on NRR , I will probably not reinvest , hoping for a bloodbath over Brexit. Going to cash . My thinking is , market is very high so if all goes well it want go up much or if it goes bad , will be in cash. But remember I know nothing. Good luck
You buying more Appleby at this current discount? I’m tempted to sell MRCH and buy use 20% profits here.
27th September goes ex dividend for 1p paid in 23rd October https://www.dividenddata.co.uk/ex-dividend-date-search.py?searchTerm=BRCI
Tick tock on the divvy clock .
Uptrend since June looks encouraging , discount to nav is narrowing at last , divvy expected to be 1p again just after xmas , good luck all , off to the mountains for annual ski , climbing adventures.
Bought another 3000 odd shares.. looking good..
Hi, Many thanks for the sage advice, Appleby. I've been trading Glencore and Vedanta but they're not as volatile as they were last year. The commodities crash was fantastic for swing trading! I've just graduated so this is all good.
Hello, Traded this over 300 times in last year and a half , just watch the spread and fees, and you can easily pull 0.5% out near daily . Any large trade will spike the price either way. You can often buy in cheaper than shown. Bought in here for a long term hold at the 42-45p range for a fairly safe 10% yield . Watch out for a divvy increased. Good luck
BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust I've applied Bollinger Bands, Fast Stochastics and RSI to the share price chart over the past five days and it is relatively easy to catch 1% bounces everyday. Am I missing something or is this similar to GLEN? Any advice would be great, I'm new to all this.
Strange run of automated trades just after 4pm , had the effect of lowering the ask. GLA
Nice payment in my account today , happy days gla
Held at 1p as predicted . GLA
Will they raise or maintain , I think the latter my self , discount to nav appears to be opening again . Gla
Added a few thousand myself in last few weeks , will buy more sub 70p . Love investment trusts for long term holdings , just buy when cheap and out of favour started here a 45p , roll up div and wait until market favours again. GLA
Sold my duff Tesco holding at a loss of 5K and moved remainder here to buy 6906 today, and also sold Victrex at a profit and bought 1536 BRWM as well.
Here's a piece on GS prediction on where oil prices will be heading over next couple of years: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/goldman-50-forecast-may-prove-230000102.html
Got this one wrong any views on next direction this is going seems to have stalled . Divy handy and constant. GLA
Bought a few more , short term trade to grab divvy and small bounce in minerals. gla
There's no scam. You received an interim dividend of 1p, and a payment is made each quarter. LAst year it was 1.5p twice and 1p twice making a total annual payment of 5p. So if your BRCI shares cost 50p for example, that would give you a very generous 10% dividend. You live, trade and learn! From their interim results published in July 2016: "The Board now intends to target a first and second quarterly interim dividend of 1.50 pence, followed by third and fourth quarterly interim dividend payments of 1.00 pence, making a total of 5.00 pence per ordinary share for the year as a whole1 (2015: target of 6.00 pence). The Board intends to use revenue reserves to support this target if portfolio income alone is insufficient. Thereafter, the Board’s intention is to maintain the quarterly dividend and grow this as market conditions allow.
Im OUT, What a bunch of scamsters , 1p per share divi , not even 4%
Directors are persisting with the savage policy of reduced divvy . They should by keel hauled for this . Whoops forgot to take my anger management pills again.
