You are indeed correct and sincere apologies / thanks for picking me up on that - didn't in any way mean to mislead and I believe my statistic was in fact the US rate per day which is shocking nonetheless. Sadly one in every 5 days here in the UK approximately which is still horrific. My point was merely to put the overall current news in perspective with more horrendous statistics that go sadly largely unreported in our mainstream media
Chunter - your stat of "25 veteran suicides per day in the UK" is hopelessly wrong, and using it diminishes all your other points. Mayt..
The FTSE needed a correction everyone thought it might be the Usa China trade talks or similar but along came this minor disease and that's good enough
It's the only way they make there money or the idiots with stop losses or fear get wiped out and then it will turn the other way

This was predicted by a respected chartist at the start of February with a low somewhere around 6600 mark
Have been 'invested' here for many years but never really post as happy to read and digest some of the more respected contributions from experienced posters. Bloody typical that we are now on the verge of drilling after many years and obstacles and then bang.....bloody Corona virus pops up - personally I couldn't give a monkeys......over 3 m poor children die per year of hunger, half a million from flu, around 25 veterans per DAY from suicide in the UK ......and here we are having overcome Macondo, Bahamian bearecracy etc etc only to have another thrown at us......... perseverance has definitely earned its name that's for sure..
I would personally really like to know if / why this is being 'talked up' or is it in fact worse than they're letting on? And given the market meltdown / sell offs is it inconceivable that any interested farm in partners might walk away, not because of BPC but to preserve their balance sheet in what is becoming I'm my humble opinion, market madness! There will be some milking this no doubt and making lots of cash - just not us!!
I sincerely hope any prospective partners have the balls and wherewithal to commit and ride this out and good luck to all holders old and new - I recently sold off some woeful underperformers including ATYM formerly EMED, and am heavily overcommitted to this share and have everything crossed!!!
Rant over !
