I prefer the comedy take on Bush quotes.
Proudly claiming at every opportunity that he was 'proud to be a merkin'
My favourite Bush quote:

very good quotes Bryn.
Any good ones out there from donald trump?
ok, any semi reasonable ones?
ok, donald duck?
P_I - nothing like having a good quote - I think this one sums the current situation up quite well.
From Donald Rumsfeld back in the day:-
“Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns- the ones we don't know we don't know.”
He was good as he also is known for another gem the gist of which will return to the board very quickly:-
“Those who made the decisions with imperfect knowledge will be judged in hindsight by those with considerably more information at their disposal and time for reflection.”
IK your mentor was so close to mine.
I was told that you never fail.
You either succeed in what you were trying to do or you learn something valuable for the thing you are doing next.
Needless to say i learnt many things in preparation for what I was going to do next. Furthermore, I mostly enjoyed the lessons along the way, even the more painful ones.
I think both mentors probably picked it up from Theodore Roosevelt. 'The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything.'
P_I - My primary mentor in life - eons ago - taught me “ If you don’t try AND fail occasionally - you are not trying hard enough - and will never reach your full potential- I still believe that maxim
Luv ya fella.

IK - don't fret over the small stuff. Folk will be folk and there is little to be done to stop them. Keep your upstanding principles and let the fog and mist create chaos for others while the rest of us walk in clear air. Though woke up at 4am and it was looking like the typical summer's day outside - not something I had seen for a while. We need some more blue sky else everyone will become miserable ha ha.
Stay safe all - buckle up and enjoy the roller coaster ride. ;@)
Kids always learn best when they fail or make mistakes.
Some mistakes cost more than others, they are often the ones best not repeated.
POC - sums it up - they - Stena - don’t muck about with losers.
P.S.
All this Bollo about numbers is a bunch of people scrapping for a few extra quid and jobbing.
THIS IS POTENTIALLY THE BIG ONE!
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE YOU KIDS - CHANCE OF A LIFETIME TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
STOP SCREWING ABOUT WITH STUFF YOU POSSIBLY ARE NOT EXPERT IN !
I DO NOT LIKE TO WASTE MY TIME!
And yes I have had 3 glasses of wine but sometimes patience wears then and sometimes you can only teach the kids so much, no matter how much you try!

If a major wants 70-80%, they are going to have to pay $70-80m or offer that amount in well drilling as a free carry. Potter out does them again!
Desprado, It's a negotiation tool for BPC securing a rig at a cheap rate. Offer a 10% interest in the asset which Stena can pay $10m offset against the drill cost. It's a sweetener for them if they choose to exercise. The can also pay $10m directly to BPC for an equity interest. $100m has been spent to date by BPC, so 10% is $10m.
BPC have a valuation for a farmout. A major is going to have to pay $10m for every 10%.
Glide - didn’t take any negatives - like I said in a previous post - sometimes Fun gets lost in translation.
Have a guddun Mate!

They were forward sold.
Is that after they take up the 10% option POC?
Look forward to the news.
Ah, but how do you know? They have an option to pay BPC $10m for 10%. The next option will be full partnership on success for another 40% at $xxx paid to BPC ;)
Yes and the Olssons are not mugs. They are getting paid to drill a well.
Note- they are not paying to drill a well!!!
Didn’t mean infer that your choice of Johnny Blue was pretentious.
By the way have you tried the JW Select Cask editions. Just wow, slight hint of vanilla and coconut, smooth and rich. Too rich to have many, a lovely hold and sip tipple.
The Olsson family are involved now, so different ball game.
Page.
It's another positive but not enough to get me to accept a +10 argument.
What we need if we are going to get anything close to that is momentum, Thursday could jolt the momentum we have and potentially a bigger issue is hurricane season where the company is likely to go quiet for a 3 month period.
As I said, I am happy with my position and definitely see this between 4-5 but +10 pre drill is unlikely.
Cos they didn't have a contract for a rig signed.
Been in and out of this one for a long time, sometimes I have made money, sometimes I have lost money.
We have a drill slot, the POO is on the rise, and have more time for a partner to swoop in which all bode well.
My question is
If this is going to rise to +10 pre drill, why wasn't this over 10 in Feb pre Covid? The POO is higher now, the company is in a decent position in comparison to its past?
I am long, happy with my position and don't want to discredit anyone's predictions but this hasn't been +10 in almost a decade!?
Investo - very welcome and GL mon ami!

IK:
Thank you. New and excited but hopefully level headed enough to hold long term PAST drill stage. This investor has 'only' put in £1.5m if my calcs are correct. Can't believe it will upset the apple cart too much.
Happy to gamble on the results and if they are poor, there will have been good gains to that point and so there should be time enough to extract at least the original investment. A little speed bump along the way to drilling is nothing scary
Hi Glide
JW Black lovely and not being a pretentious git - just treat myself on holiday especially @happy hour.
