My guess is that the price is being manufactured towards 2p and then there will be a raise at 2 p or just above , thus trying to appease precious investors . I don't know how thats justified but I expect shore capital are manipulating it that way in behalf of the board . But of course as rwtail investors its a gamble selling now to buy back then as the bid price om getting is already 2.3p and as usual a ridiculous spread
Are we going back to 2p? Just trying to plan my next top up.
The problem Jim is that being realistic we all know this takeover is going to be approved.
I can't believe anyone would think it is a good idea to buy into a share that is pumped to the absolute max and beyond? It just appears like shear desperation and that a company is out on its feet, which in the case of BPC at the moment it is with this merger looming, no one will (or should) touch this with a barge poll until the merger is voted down and the fear of enormous dilution dissipates.
I guess todays prices do seem like a good entry point if the merger doesn't go through it is likely to immediately return to the 3.3+p levels it was just before the announcement and then rise to around 9p when the final boxes are ticked for drilling in December.
Good morning all
Interesting couple of slides from a presentation in 2010. https://www.bpcplc.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/bpc_canada_roadshow_final_pc_19aug.pdf
1. Refer to slide 8 which details royalties to the Bahamas Gov at a maximum of 25% PLUS Zero corporation tax as BPC is registered on the IOM, and not UK. This gives lots of room to share the pie with a JV or farm-in for the minimum of dilution.
Refer to slide 4 which states ....
'BPC undertook a successful global search for data which at today’s dollars would be > US$500M to acquire.
Search and acquisition of original seismic data, well logs and chance finds of the original well cores took 4 years and cost
over $4 million'.
