Reading this article I got the impression it was written at a very fast pace. I wonder what substance was powering his brain?
The Editor is a complete liar and has not completed any research. Considerable License fees were paid in 2012 and can be verified on the the BPC website. I hope BPC complains and takes the 'editor' to task.
This reporter is not interested in what has happened over the years due to the foot dragging by the Bahamas respective governments and NIMBYism.
No mention of what a substantial oil find can do for the economy in the wake of the hurricane.
This guy has got to be in the pay of those meddling USA politicians.
What surprises me is that the Tribune has allowed him to print this uninformed rubbish.
Hi Linton,
Thanks for sharing but i don't think there's anything in it, as Starchild pointed out.
I will keep an eye out over the weekend for any similar news and if so, ill share it but honestly, don't think there's anything in it.
Can you email that to BPC via their website? i have never got any response from that site but you may get some luck.
Hi Star,
No mention of the Sovereign Wealth Fund that took years to put in place or the Bahamian’s who work for BPC, eg, counsellor Beth etc.
I am sure BPC will put that story straight in the Tribune once they read it.
ATB.
All I need is MATD to wake up now - hopefully that 'sleeping giant's will follow BPCs example.
Switching off the screen & checking in at close.
Onwards towards Dec!
Good spot Linton. The tribune is complaining about late payment of licence fees, however there are a couple of clarifications needed:
1. Article makes the impression BPC fleeced Bahamas investors to pay the fees. This is not true as it had $12m in the bank prior to investment fund.
2. Why would BPC pay ANY license fees until Environmental approval granted?2.
