Jamesparsonage - There is more scrutiny on shorting, things could change for sure- Edge funds still have more fire power, BP is a mega-cap, retail investors have little influence over it, we are at their mercy.
I will admit after your posts on here I followed you in with some of my GME paperhanded tendies, a fun distraction from a mostly otherwise red portfolio the last couple of days..
More serious question, with hedge funds reducing shorts and therefore also reducing their longs to minimise risk, do we think this will have an effect on more established stocks like BP?
Thanks cedars for the tip . It might even buy me a packet of crisps to go with them.... let’s wait and see. Good luck with your serious punt :)
+20% After market, MyMred you are in the money. Diamond hands.
Margin call tomorrow as well, people got scared, I am in at $15 after the gap at 14 filled up.
MyMred , you will have your beers :)
The sharks took away the ability to buy for a lot of the small guys. At least 2 of those cheap/free brokers. Their game, can't have that. Its not just about money either.
Someone must be selling, it's dropped 40% today.
I’ve just bunged a few £ in to bb on your hunch .. don’t worry even if they collapse I won’t lose any sleep. Just for fun :) if it pans out will buy me a few beers
BB rocket about to take off, no one is selling. Wish me luck. Yesssss - this may blow up in my face.
BlackBerry was at 12 on Facebook announcement , this has way more intrasic value than GME.Lets swqeeze the shorts. These kids are smart, hedge funds are sweating.
Yup, this is an internet bandwagon I am totally on board with. Unlike most of the recent ones.
Petrofac was a bit of a Gamestop this morning. Nearly cashed in @127 to get this @273. Ah well, tomorrow is another day i suppose!
I am in BB, £50K at 15$, all my Bitcoin profit. They removed the buy button to the kiddies on Robinhood to squeeze them, but they are back , lets roll. Institutions now colluding without warning with brokers to squeeze retail investors, unbelievable, I see blood. Lets make some moey.
BlackBerry is about Cybersecurity , Self-driving technology and a huge portfolio of patents, If they were to mimic the market cap of Palantir, Snowflakes and so on, this could go to 88/100 USD a share. this is definitely a safer bet than AMC. If the 14 gap closes, I will pour some money in it. Buy target 15USD. Who needs Bitcoin lol .
Aw Blackberry ...I know nothing about the company but I still have my old blackberry phone stashed away in the cupboard ....How many years I wonder I need to save it and then one day it will become antique and collectable ????... Possibly I may have to wait a bit to long !!!
It is crazy man - I have few 1000+ Blackberry shares when I worked for them, these kids are taking the stock on a rocket ride. Short sellers are getting squeezed .
Wall street experts will be feeling the pain similar to we did in 2007/2008. Selling on sub prime loans with triple A ratings hurt a lot of people.
Be a lot of people retiring early if it went to that price lol.
Didn't take too much notice of this till today madness we need someone to blow us up on wallstreetbets buy BP! looool take us to £100 a share lmao
