I’m in two miners both of which have dropped a little since I bought in but I’m still tempted to buy into a third. The metals are needed for electric car manufacturing so the price has to move north sometime.
The Glen board here have some interesting views on commodities- I can see why your interested in Miners, although I would agree and maybe wait a few days and see where all this goes. I’d like to top up here but I’m biding my time as there could be a bit of a lower entry to be had here
Possibly but I’m looking at which one is likely to make a 10% gain nearer term I haven’t bought glen yet as my preference is bhp but that hasn’t reached my target yet. I’m more into the iron ore than copper.
Hi Mojo,
More upside in BP than Glencore surely....
Good luck either way...
Think part of that is buying in the dips it will be interesting to see where this ends up later in the day after American open most things are down at the mo not heavily. If there’s no movement today in either direction then I’ll bank on there being done tomorrow. Good luck all. Will check back in closer to midday. Mean while glencore has hit my buy target but I haven’t bought yet China and their copper dumping tactics have me waiting to see what happens on quad witching day May get a better entry there. Looking at other miners too for Friday Especially if I don’t get my bp entry.
Was just about to say this!!! for all the moaners who complain when its the other way around!
Oil price down - share price up... someone ought to share the dummys guide to BP to shareholders.
Licker you need to look at better sources, oil dropped - I saw it late last night and it’s on home page here at the end of market call write up!
So both my concerns recently I wrote about have come to fruition- someone said don’t worry about fed meeting and now that’s dropped markets like I said it could!! People dismiss things, maybe that helps to stop worry but a lot of the times these things are relevant! Be open minded here everything can affect the markets
Sorry for so many errors just woke up and tried to reply to this gist on this is go with what you thinks best for your position if you’re long term doesn’t matter. My view is about caution because of how much we’ve risen and quad witching impact. Results are a months way and I can’t see them being negative.
I wonder how BPs trading arm are doing? I bet they are raking it in!
Are they permitted to trade in their own share, or would it be purely commodities prices (I.e. oil)?
This is all in the now if you remember back in March oil was marching up to 70 before quad witching then bang dropped to 62 not saying it will drop that severely but, analysts are always in the moment. Do you remember simpsons episode where Lisa explained to Homer about the better company putting out two leaflets with two views ? Anyway Goldman back in March after the drop day just buy the dip but they never called the drop prior they say $80. Pricing views are only right with time if oil hit 100 dollars by 2022 they will say we called that even though they said it a year earlier but what happens inbetween is anyone’s guess.
I’m not saying I’m not bullish in oil i am but, things rise and then they pull back briefly many investors sometimes get carried away if you were back in the days of rkh gkp so many people got carried away when oil was high they were saying 200 dollars etc. If you believer saudi and Russia want $100 plus dollars I don’t think they do it makes green look too appealing the sweet spot is 60s -70s. Anyway time is the revealer of all truths who’s right today will be wrong tomorrow etc.
Apart from yourself I've not seen one credible market influencing analyst call oil lower than where it today so I cant see a downside from here but I'm prepared to be coniced otherwise from a bulletin board "expert"
Any view on Oil dropping back slightly? adr finished down. What’s the rsi saying? I’ve got a feeling could get a 325 entry tomorrow, I’m tempted to top up but hard to call wether could fall back slightly further. Does seem like it might be following its previous pattern off spiking slightly and dropping back. Any views? Cheers
