Max, car is £320k actually and the tax bill/car just means I won’t be putting more in here, at the moment. If you knew anything about business it costs in tax to take money out and at present I have other priorities….. What’s so hard to understand about that, I didn’t say I was a billionaire with unlimited funds? You are one of life’s losers, very easy to see that from your posts
Thanks NMW, think I will just hold this one for 5 yrs min. Shocks me that people on this board can't look past transitory issues. Steal at this price and will be an eight bagger imo.
Haha thanks Rag, BOO will rise as fast as a 765 goes round a track and that’s rapid lol
NMW, she'll be a booooooty, love the colour, epic performance go steady, lol.
Rag, I had a 720S last year, amazing car
The 765 is in the spider launch colour, Ambit Blue, was supposed to get it at Xmas but delayed until Feb so just gonna get it as a 22 plate on March 1st. AMV is a lovely car….
NMW1969 Mclaren 765LT v v nice, what colour, when does it arrive ? I toyed with buying a 720S last spring, in end ordered a new AMV F1 in the F1 matt racing green, got delayed due to covid and finally arrived in August, after 8 weeks it pained me but i stuck it into dry heated storage where it sleeps till the Spring and my first track day in it !
Max, I am big time up on BOO thanks and you only make or lose when you push the button…. Jealously gets you nowhere lol
What did Dmachine purchase at Maxage ?
NS99, I have an exit price but constantly review it dependant on news and sentiment. I had an exit price in January 21 of £4.50, but when the RNS update landed and it started dropping from £4 I decided to sell at £3.52. Stayed out until November when I saw the price below £2, and started buying in chunks from £1.80 down to near present price. So my average is higher than today but still very low for this stock IMO…
THG having a great day agreed but BOO's turn will come.
Of course it's not foolproof !!!!!!,if it was everybody would be millionaires. It's an opinion. You say that the the analysis i mentioned is for day traders.I am not a day trader.I am only looking at the small moves, checking to see if everything is on track, or taking a sidetrack, that needs to be looked at and analysed.
Everybody see different things in charts, you say,It was very heartening for me to read one post on here where a poster came up with some support levels that were EXACTLY the same as i had already come up with,i mean exactly, meaning to the virtual exact number of pence.
I don't know this person and not believing in thought transference ,i thus put it to you and others on here that there is substance to my "analysis",et al.
Look no need to butt heads like some "GEEZERS" down the local.Lets be adults. You may well with your Bullish opinion based on fundamentals end up being correct.I for one will take solace in the fact that all those underwater will get out of trouble. We are not wearing football scarves of a different colour,we are not enemies,we are supposed to be airing our views as we see things, and are being honest. It would be a bit weird if a forum was for Bulls or Bears only .
Sharefall
I could not agree more with Bp was a no brainier at 190 , Look at it now patience and it’s bounced back and hopefully more to go .
I wish boo moved like thg its moving today. Something going on there now. Trying to squeeze those unknown Swiss and Bahamas based shorts. Let's see where the battle will end. As for the boo longs, hopefully you'll get you day to play like the thg longs are playing it now. Fingers crossed Dream my Machine. NoFear.(*__*).
It's been a pretty tight range today.....
......so far and fairly unusual.
Can't seeing it stay that way.
NMW1969, how do you approach selling a stock you are in? Is it simply about hitting a target price, or is it more to do with the fundamentals changing?
Icarus, let’s see in a year or two who is right. I bought BOO through 2020 and sold everything in mid Jan 2021, making over £50k. Stayed out until November then started buying in chunks, average above where we are today but to me a bargain for long term. Unfortunately I have a massive tax to pay bill at the end of this week and picking up a McLaren 765LT spider on March 1st, otherwise I would be ploughing more in….. no brainer IMO at these depressed prices. Company is still growing, making profit and doesn’t have any borrowings. Fill yer boots and you can then maybe buy yourself a McLaren lol
pf-78,i have always considered myself to be an amateur at this game, although when i read some of the posts on forums i do wonder !!!!!,i mean i do wonder !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I only use the HL site and analyse from there.I do my own research, that is outside T.A.as well, which is where you find out stuff that seems not to be in general circulation.
I lived through the '73 crash and learned lessons.I used to frequent Bassinghall (spelling ?) Street business library in the city the early eighties, where i could read point and figure charts, and old, now probably out of print American chart books.
I had 250 on the Gold chart as a bottom in 1980 (bottomed years later in a classic Elliott wave correction ),but was involved in property at the time and passed it over,(considered buying BHP at £1,declined,ouch !!!!).When i went back to it all in 2015,on a cursory look basis only, I passed on Betfair shares at £7.50,when i could find very few "experts "talking about it or even recommending it.
After it was bought out at £38 ,i thought "hold on ,am i an expert ?,just who are the experts" ?.So here i am on here. Not that i consider myself an expert ,but some on here seem to have an opinion based on some other opinion, rather than opinion based on fact.
Buy at 130, instead of 100. Makes sense
Yes, agree with that. Day traders rely on charts. Investing is a lot different. Chartists were telling me to not buy BP at 190. Muppets. Good job I took no notice.
All this analysis is for day or short term trading, not investing….. facts are only a very small proportion of PI’s make money day/short term trading, so take what you will from that. For every 10 trolls that spout nonsense, only 1 or 2 will actually be making any money. Now that’s a FACT
Thanks Pipedreamer .. thats more than I expected and much appreciated. Its easy to be tempted by what seems to be a good entry price, but I know very little about this company and not been following any threads/ News.
So thanks again for your honest opinion! :)
Pipe you are talking rubbish, charts and analysis are an individual thing. Everyone will see things differently and by know way are foolproof, BOO at this price is an absolute bargain for PI investors. See where we are in a year or two then come back to me with your charts lol
The trolls are squirming, all I can see is a sea of green filters.
Bzohdan,In answer to your question.I would wait until it went through 128p,if it went through it quickly,i would hope to get on in the pullback. It would depend also on the "shape "of the chart.Better to get on a bit late on a confirmation, rather than risking a collapse through 97p,and then seeing it go a lot lower,to the next support level.
Support levels or actual bottoms (the important ones ),tend not to be just below the last one (90p for instance is only roughly 7% lower than 97p).They tend to be a lot lower !!!!.
So holders can hold if they want, but for them it must be very stressful for them.I wouldn't tell them to sell at the moment, but they will have to be fleet of foot, and watch the S.P. like a hawk !!!!!!!!!!!!.
So it's all a question of turning it into a percentage call. This is mine, and how i see it.GLA.
One more thing .If i was a holder and Boo went down,i would look at the posters who got it right and hope to find out when they turned bullish,so i could buy and improve my average.
So this site is all about a learning process.Learning who's smart, and taking their views on board and use them for confirmation of your own views.Simple really.
Thank you for your post. Hard to get good info with all the garbage on here. Would you mind sharing the site you use to show the trading ranges please? Cheers
