slipperz - I understand but you don't put it all in one single share!
you should spread across at least 10 shares or maybe 3 or 4 funds.
'Please stop saying "invest only what you can afford to lose". Where else do we put our saved money, if not in stocks and share?'
A fund like scottish mortgage or fundsmith would be waay more sensible. Investing in a single stock is very high risk.
Slipperz - Don't be a victim in life. The media backlash was always part of the risk here, have you sold out yet? Still a great chance it comes good eventually. I sold mine this morning for risk management, am regretting it already but if this did tank i would have lost more than i could have afford to.
Slip, 3 years of pay on a 50% drop is 6 years of pay gambled on ONE AIM STOCK????
Really sorry to hear about your temporary unrealised losses (I've almost been there myself once with a year's worth of savings down the drain(, but 6 years!?!
There are charities that help with gambling addiction that you might want to turn to... Otherwise you will lose the remainder.
No, I didn't sell a thing. I averaged down, to about 300p.
Please stop saying "invest only what you can afford to lose". Where else do we put our saved money, if not in stocks and share?
I wanna break free!!!!
Resistance at 220p, likely a short being closed. Once the seller(s) gone, it'll shoot up.
Slipperz - hang in there mate, its not a loss until realised. Hold and relax, in the medium term this will be fine- Sept results will be the catalyst, in the long term even better
I bless the attacks for given me an opportunity to safely double my money in a year.
Just stop obsessing switch off and let it grow. Anyone in now will be well up within 12 months. Just chill.
I am blaming the shorters and the mass media. There is no evidence that Boohoo did anything wrong. A supplier offered a fake student some illegal work... Losing 50% of the MCap for nothing. Why would be a bad decision to buy a company that does well during pandemic, have no debts, but amazing revenues and potential?!
:-( whilst its a good move not to invest what you cant lose, patience is the game here!
Recovery en-route, hopefully mate
Did you cut your losses and sell?
Remember this,
Its only a paper loss. You will double or even triple your money here.. Look at what happened to Ocados for instance (online only). This is set to thrive, treat this as a hiccup..
Your wages would deliver good return and then you would think, of your salary was double or triple.. All in couple of years at the latest imo.
Dont stress Slipperz you invested well and the media and sentiment went aginst the stock but it will pick up buddy and you will see a nice return indeed on your very hard earned cash. Just hold and it will pay dividends and this will be a distant memory
slipperz, sorry to hear that man. I've been there but you have to take responsibility, it's you who lost the money, not shorters.
Or just a very bad decision/timing on your part. Sorry to say. Don’t blame your losses on someone else. Only paper losses atm anyway
He's keeping our morale high. After all, some of us have lost our savings here. In my case, the equivalent of a 3-years wage... Now I worked for the past 3 years for nothing now, since some shorters decided to bring this stock down! Shorters are enslaving honest investors!
