Well that explains why we are back to flat this morning - 40M sell just popped up from earlier. Still looking very good here despite that huge sell
0.1 sorry getting ahead of myself here, wish it where true though, may have to wait a little linger for that one to appear
Lets hope we can brake the 1 p barrier, this point has seen a lot of resistance in the past.
And no matter who decides to sell there seems to be too much buying pressure mopping them up so the trend upwards is looking like it will continue...
Yep - a few buys coming in.
Brake's are of over .01 paid.
Buying in the 0.90’s, little more volume then today could be a good day again.
At the same time in Peru the covid situation has improved dramatically. Cases are down to 6% from the peak and deaths are down to just 2%. Peru has been hit hard and the government and population will be wanting to kickstart the economy in every way possible.
All MM’s on 0.1p or above - first time for a while.
Cheeky punt here
Just watched that Dubai expo. Amazing news that boil is in the plans to pipeline all the gas fields! Looking forward to these 3D seismic and then a JV to follow! things are starting to look great. GLA
Think in another article , it said the CEO challenged his tech team to develop a new
time saving system and gave them 3 years to do it, they developed it in a year, then
Amazon accelerated the process further , the CEO wanted 12 months , turned into
12 days and 6 months into 6 , kinda progress, they exceeded even his challenging
expectations
:))
The CEO of Woodside , challenged his people to develop a way of bringing it down
from years to a few months, they developed an in house system, Amazon then
provided the key ingredient , computer power, now advertised to the industry
The Amazon support gives the equivalent of a stack of laptops 4.2 miles high
They did the 3,200 sq km 3D for Sunrise , just to the North East of Chuditch
last November? processed in a few hours.
https://www.worldoil.com/news/2020/12/3/woodside-cuts-seismic-processing-time-from-weeks-to-hours-with-amazon-web-services
https://techversions.com/news/woodside-uses-cloud-to-reduce-seismic-data-processing-time-down-to-90-minutes/
Gregory said typically, processing such data takes around 12 months.
“But I challenged the team to reduce it to 12 days,” he said
“Part of the problem is a step called full wave form inversion, which typically takes 10 days to run
on a supercomputer.”
On a large seismic volume of 3,200 sq km, the Woodside-AWS team completed that 10-day inversion
run in just 90 minutes.
Hopingforbags - Good morning, please can you elaborate on what kind of seismic can be done in a day? Do you mean releasing news or acquire it? Or process it? or interpret it?
I have researched the woodside one they did one stage of processing in a few hours which unbelievably quick compared to a few years ago, not sure how much time was spent testing it before it was submitted to run on the cpu, do you know that?
Big companies wise, I've once heard Total do a fast track Pre-stack depth migrated job onboard a vessel and got the rig on site for drilling within 10 months but that’s very fast, another one is the BP Wolfspar project in GOM, that used a thing called a marine vibrator and ocean bottom nodes for data acquisition, think the job took 2-4 weeks. Processing used some very clever algorythms to run through all the stages and took 6 weeks, 8 weeks in total. So you can see seismic in a single day doesn't really work. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-bp-seismic-focus-idUSKCN1PC0HF
Baron Oil is reprocessing seismic data, so no acquisition time to factor in. Due to re-processing in time and depth domains, is why it is taking longer. I have seen these types jobs go on for 2 years before if they're large and complex.
What takes the most time in processing is the testing of the parameters at each stage (see list below) and liaising between client/s and contractor, which may involve many meetings and lots of powerpoints. If they could utilise AWS 1mill cpu's once each test is signed off then yes the run time would be a lot quicker.
Seismic processing fast track stages (in time domain):
-Source de-ghosting, de-signature and de-bubble derived from the near field hydrophones (one signature per survey)
-Receiver de-ghosting
-Linear and swell noise removal (multi-domain)
-Seismic Interference removal (if present)
-Overlapping shot de-blending
-Full Set of de-multiple tools (SWME, 2D/3D SRME, Hi-Res Radon, Deconvolution)
-Velocity picking (2nd order and 4th order)
-3D Regularisation
-PoSTM, PSTM & PSDM (Post Stack Time Migragrated, Pre-Stack Time Migrated, Pre-Stack Depth Migrated

Ive 10M in here for myself and the missus, but want to open ISAs for my three kids.
Can't see a better oppo to get them out and into their own properties than BOIL in 3-5 years. Otherwise we'll never get rid of em! Lol.
It’s like a never ending story over there. Been listening Sale imminent bull for over a year now.
Another EUA satly sea dog. Made sure to get an ISA and trading account position here though, just only with min wager kind of capitol o.0
Same as DulyRed.
Come on EUA.
Goodness, Dulyred. Will EUA ever actually get on with it ? Like you, I've been waiting for that one to pop so I can invest profits here and a couple of others. Good luck to you.
2 times 10M sells - could be the last of them so we can move up.
Just over 100m traded in the first 2 hours
(AQSE just over 13m to add)
:))
also reserves are valued at NPV10 times regional risk not WTI/Brent but in the
USA at the mo, the high end is near $11 a barrel reserves in the ground
Last super cycle USA reached npv10 $12.50 / $100 poo but at the same time , high
risk area's still as low at $2 - $4 a barrel , where TL, would fit into that rating system
who known not I
Close to both OZ and Indonesia, who have good regional risk factors, so if value ever
returned to gas in the TL fields , could be on the high end
Shells figure 850mboe (with poss double across license) at a mere $5 is $4.25 Billion
so if we get a free carry drill program and retain just 10% ($425m), its way higher than
current slumbering MC , with Dunrobin and Peru to follow and add further value
:))
not me either unfortunately hoping EUA comes in soon so I can purchase a few more. would like to to get 10 M only 2.5 more to go.
Said all along the seismic ,can be done in a single day not months by bigger players
for the whole license , Woodside did 3,200 sq km 3D sunrise in a FEW HOURS.
without a bigger, REAL offshore operator, or route to market for the GAS currently
like Woodside sunrise on books ($0.00) seismic will have little bearing
Shell's 90's figures way higher than Baron's , 1998 immediate drill discovery area
reported figures and shells also had much upside to the South West of license
The world knows it's HUGE and have since 1998, seismic which is a rerun not new
will just confirm what everyone already knows.
It's a mega TCF gas and condensate license (or perhaps oil - shell south west leads)
that is looking for a production home to go to, STILL
:))
9.3 paid
So cheap this one. Double digits soon.
UK North Sea (100 mmbo) with 32% to BOIL
Chuditch 444 MMBOE
Together that is: 476 MMBOE
MCap only £9m ???
Brent crude price $85.56 per bbl.
