AGM time, so he will be traveling to London and then meetings here in UK before getting back to the day job :)
Must have lost his Internet connection!
Yep good to see a chunky buy, but a tad disappointing it’s not moved the dial. I reckon if it had been a sell, the sp would have dived. Still, things now appear to be getting more positive again :D
Big money loading it
Very strange
Amazing how today’s closing share price appears to be the very same as yesterday’s but we are reported as being 10.53% up ???
What complete and utter garbage !!
“…Once mining permits have been secured, which the company says are imminent, plant and equipment currently in use at Marsfontein will move to the larger prospect. BOD continues to offer one of the few opportunities to invest in junior diamond exploration. The company may be a bold bet for 2024 if it can resume drilling and find interest from possible venture partners…”

4) We are in the works for a Joint venture in Botswana, JC knows this is the part we need most.
Why dont. they do a deal with Tsodilo Res in Botswana for their BK16 kimberlite then.
But it is still hard to get away from reality that diamonds are not commodity flavour of the month. Not helped by Govt Bots and DeBeers continually sniping at each other for changes in the profit share distribution. It would not surprise me if the BDP talk tough towards DeBeers through 2024 ahead of Elections in October 2024 - nothing in that to calm or improve the market i reckon.
I understand your feelings, though, I am lucky enough to talk direct with management. Here is my take: 1) Like a Us Economy and the saying 'it's the Economy Stupid!', with Diamond companies and explorers, miners... it's the price of Diamonds (rough). The price has fallen in 2023, and so did the share price on all those miners and companies (at same time a lot of costs were increasing). Thus, if you look at rough diamond price and our (other companies such as Lucara, Petra, Gem etc) and you will see a direct correlation. 2) Why mine now, when little profit... meaning , that we are already seeing a turn up in Diamond prices, lower fuel costs, inflation and borrowing costs dropping that are massive parts of mining and it has meant many of those other companies are showing a start to a rising SP. 3) We have Thorny River... that Water license will soon be there and what better time than when Diamond prices are rising... 4) We are in the works for a Joint venture in Botswana, JC knows this is the part we need most. 5) The G7 announcement that real diamonds must have identification (blockchain etc) id going to cost money and time for companies, but ultimately... we at BOD will be able to differentiate from Lab grown diamonds, will be from the best sources of 'quality and unusual coloured/sized Diamonds). Residual values of Lab diamonds or even real bought pre 2023, will find it harder to show where there diamond was from and therefore potential resale value. 6) In a world that has higher Interest rates on loans (even if falling from highs), we are a debt free company. IN all this are so, so many permutations, But... the risk to reward is still there... the SP has not been pulled down by mass selling of shares, quite the opposite. So good news going forward and 10-25%+ JUMPS AND SUDDENLY WE ARE BACK AT 1P.Hold fast, time yet for positive reward, even though it is jittery to see a low SP like this (which the SP has been near previously and rose).
Ps, any ‘comms’ from the company from our posters who ‘are in contact’ with them?
Irrelevant anyway because we had such things when the share price was much higher.
And we are now significantly below the very recent placing price. What a mess !!!
VERY DISAPPOINTING - and no mistake !!
As a medium to long term holder I’m massively down on my investment and massively cheesed off !!
New investors are able to buy at a fraction of my buy-in price (good luck to them) but this is my hard-earnt being eroded !
Sincerely hoping for better times & soon
I used to read him on VAST he was very bullish on that one .
This one as well .
Hope he is alive .
Hi Gemstar
Castaway seems to have disappeared sadly. The last time he posted here was about 18 months ago when he very helpfully answered a query of mine.
Does Castaway still post on here?
25% Spread
Buying is much larger than sells, bottom and bounce in New Year.
Agree, the SP, should be stable here, rather than seeing a drop, and , as people look further, it is cheap, with Thorny River coming on, when Diamond Prices are starting to increase (and on cost side fuel is cheaper). No debt... also price of SP moves on little to no volume.
Extreme oversold and right into multi year support from all time lows
Expect to see some interest pick up at these levels. Crazy cheap given what they have lined up in the months ahead
Agree.
We’ve been down in the weeds for a little while now but as a debt free explorer/producer we’re in an enviable position for when diamond prices and general market sentiment switches.
2023 has not been a good year hence trading at all time lows
“should remind you that Thorny River is estimated to contain anywhere from 1.2m - 2.1m tons of ore at an expected grade between 46 and 76 carats per hundred tons. Diamond value per carat is expected to be between US $120 and $220 per carat. The mining plan has already been prepared. Transferring from Marsfontein to Thorny River will take only a matter of weeks as it will use the same mining equipment.”
That’s worth $100m+ on even the lower end estimates
I suspect BOD won’t stay trading as low as 0.5p once Q1 kicks off
BOD is 'under most people's radar'. Second, as 799 states, it is 'held' by so many LTH's, it is not a share to dip in and out of. Third, many have seen large drops across most sectors of their shares in the last year+, so there is a feeling of 'hold' when losses are there, for the change in market sentiment, when the Bull market next appears.
Yea seems like a complete no brainer taking advantage of the current 0.5p buy price
One thing to bear in mind is that the SP has simply drifted to where we are now driven but certain macro factors and a ‘less than usual’ flow of information from JC.
We are now sitting on a solid foundation of family, friends and serious LTHs. I don’t want to sound too rampy but when (and it is when) things come together here and the comms start to flow the SP will move rapidly.
Look at some of the historical spikes generated of the back of good news. We are now generating revenue and are on the cusp of some pretty big things. Hence us LTHs are sitting tight. Not for 30/40% but for much more significant returns.
Yes, the potential Khalarhi multiple mines in Botswana deal would be fantastic. You have bought in at a time many wished we could have, but we are often at 1p+. Even then, once Diamond market improves, and US market where REAL diamonds are sought, we have a brilliant base to move from. Also, very importantly in my mind, two extra points to BOD 1. James Campbell is the Top man in this industry and especially in Africa. 2. No debt linked to higher interest rates, like so many other companies.
