§ Maximum price: Banco Santander intends to implement the Buy-Back Programme in a way that causes the average purchase price of shares not to exceed 4.31 euro, corresponding to the tangible book value per share at 30 September 2022.
§ Maximum number of shares: The maximum number of shares that may be acquired pursuant to the Programme will depend on the average price at which they are acquired, but will not exceed 1,530,040,081 shares. Assuming that the average purchase price at which shares are acquired pursuant to the Programme were 2.606 euros (corresponding to the closing price of the Bank's share in the Spanish Stock Exchanges of 18 November 2022), the maximum number of shares that would be acquired would be 375,619,654 (2.24% of the Bank's share capital).

Was with equinit for a few years, never regretted getting out.
Volcano surely this is old news. Maximum investment: the Buy-Back Programme will have a maximum monetary amount of €978,864,820.
Looks like BNC would buy back nearly 10% of shares.
Don't forget the dividend in December 2020.
Thank you for your replies - appreciated.
2018 I received the 4 x dividends.
2019 I received NONE of the 3 x dividends.
2020 I presume no-one received any dividends?
2021 My statement confirms dividends in May and November but nothing in my account.
2022 Again dividends in May and November but nothing in my account.
That's 4 years without dividends - think I need to ask questions of Equiniti.
Thank you for helping me to clarify this.
There was also a dividend in December 2020
From my records there were 4 dividends in 2018 - in February, May, August and November. There were three in 2019 in February, May and November. There were two in 2021 and this year, both in May and November.
Can someone help please? I have had some shares for about 10 years and lost track of what's happened on two companies - others I have managed to change from paper certificates into CREST but it hasn't been easy with COVID and I know some banks stopped dividends during Covid. My last dividend from Banco Santander was in 2018 and I cancelled the DRIP scheme in September '22.
I looked on the website but it wasn't clear to me. What and when were dividends paid from 2018 to the present day please?
Thank you.
Baffling that it should drop 3% on a positive update. We've been here before where fears about provisions tanked this share.
@ 4821012875473241 : It’s not been declared yet - but looking at past history - it looked like October - but without confirmation. Looks like no date at the moment.
Does anyone know when the next dividend is due and approx how much its expected to be in £'s please?
Santander US Teams Up with City Year and Rafael Nadal to Support Students
Santander’s gross mortgage lending came to £18.1bn in the first six months of the year, up from £16.3bn in the same period last year.

The 4.8% bank tax levy will cost Santander ie the shareholders, about €100million a quarter, whilst unfortunate, is not a disaster.
However if you compare with NatWest (SP 249p) which declared EPS of 17.4p and TNAV of 267p, Santander SP should be way over 300p , (EPS of 27.2c and TNAV of 424c).
there was an article by the Spanish PM they were going to impose a tax on everything that was making a profit he even stood there and said dress casual so to cut air con cost to help Ukraine
my take is that the current state of the euro is possible cause to holding the sp down
Analyst report today puts fair value of BNC at 55% above this morning's stock price (é3.90)
Also reading the results further the overall ROTE is highly impressive at 13%.
What's particularly impressive too is the forecast dividend of 20c in 2022, 22c in 2023 & 26c in 2024. That equates to a forward dividend of over 10%!!!
Very good results but it looks like we are going sub 200p again.
Its a crazy world!
"Perfect tsunami of events" Compensated for by an even weaker £ c/o Brexit.
Santander is not an investment bank .....
Why didn't I dump this rubbish, when still Abbey national, oh dear !
Fears of world recession with FED rate rise pending and provisions for bad debt .... JPM and Morgan Stanley miss on results .. Italy Govt coalition at risk of collapse making Euro weaker..
Perfect tsunami of events
Can't believe that this is going sub 200p
Bargain at this SP. Fall is way overdone. 260p a month ago. No brainer BUY.
Temporary tax on all the banks profits to cover 2 years - aim to collect 1.5 billion Euro from these banks - will also impose a special tax on gas , oil and electric company profits too
... part of the money raised will be given to over 1 million students on a scholarship course who will receive 100 euro a month to ensure they don't drop out of their course as a result of any economic hardship
