A nice website and far more professional if you want to attract business. The smaller companies now will have more confidence picking up the phone and considering orders just from the website alone.
I assume the 3rd Generation battery is the Avalon based one, as the Eskom BESS will be using these if the tender is won. Testing another battery tells you that the Eskom partnership is getting closer to fruition and you would not do this for the sake of it. Keep holding and/or adding until the end of July folks otherwise you will be shortchanged at the current SP.
BBN's analysis on twitter suggests this could be announced around then, with NERSA concurrence due then. Exciting times and the tipping point is coming soon.
Getting ready to release news at the start of a new week/new month?
Oh I hope it's that :)
A very well put together website that looks very professional. Lets hope this is the start of some good news from BE as this side of the business needs to start delivering.
This looks very good news!
Manufacturer and integrator redT has been given a provision notice from Pivot Power to manufacture the 2MW / 5MWh of vanadium redox flow batteries as part of the Energy Superhub Oxford project, striking up a partnership with vanadium producer Bushveld Minerals to support the project.
The flow batteries are to be hybridised alongside lithium-ion battery storage, which is to be provided by Wärtsilä. Developer Pivot Power announced it had signed a contract with Wärtsilä for two 50MW lithium-ion batteries last month, one of which forms part of the Energy Superhub Oxford project and the other is to be located at a separate site in Kent, south of London.
And, of course, when the independent investors and investment banks show it is bankable, then.....:
1) They have a vested interest in helping to sell the idea to other businesses
2) They can also help sell the concept of renting electrolyte and direct them to a certain company they can rent it from!
What better for BMN/BE - getting others to spread the VRFB and electrolyte rental story and boosting vanadium production for rental. Bingo.
Thanks for the reply Alfa. I can see how it makes sense put like that.
jogj99 - 'independent investors' is a positive thing - it is designed to demonstrate that the technology is what is called 'bankable' rather than some kind of ego project for the chief exec. Furthermore it allows Vametco to use its money to expand production, and keeping assets off the balance sheet also reduces the tax bill. Other mines will see this and immediately get it.
I think the new website is a vast improvement on what was there’re before. Loads and loads of new info, I cannot believe that more hasn’t been made of Bushveld Energy’s achievements, there should have been far more made of it by the company to help support the share price. Obviously lots going on in the background. I found the following interesting.
Vametco Hybrid-Mini-Grid
The Vametco project is a first-of-a-kind commercial installation of a Mini-Hybrid solar and battery grid feeding directly into the Vametco Mine’s internal Network. It is unique in that it has been developed by independent investors and investment banks and is totally funded outside of the mine’s balance sheet. This project is a nett 1MW hybrid mini-grid with a 2.5MWp solar farm, feeding both the internal Network and the 1MW, 4MWh Vanadium Redox Flow Battery, which will also be charged from the Grid at night-time Off Peak rates. It can provide stable power to the internal network for up to 16 hours per day, thereby providing Load Shifting benefits and Peak Demand Reduction benefits, as well as stabilising the Power Quality of the Network and reducing Reactive Energy charges.
Why is this being developed by independent investors? The mine itself can easily afford this project. If someone is investing then the mine will be paying them back at some point. This should have been done in house. It doesn’t sound to me as if it is completely in shareholders interest. Does anyone else have a view?
Great website!!! Quite a lot of info there.. watch this space!!!
Theres a little bit about Bushveld Belco in the Collaborations and Partnerships section
BELCO – Bushveld Electrolyte Company is a South African producer of vanadium electrolyte. The company is jointly owned by Bushveld Energy and the IDC. Its first manufacturing facility is under construction and located in East London, South Africa.
Maybe you have the brightness on your phone or tablet too low
Seems to work great on mobile view. Which is what majority of people use to view sites nowadays.
Maybe a revamp but not that good the pictures are to dark so looks like its night time.
I also don't like the info at lower part popping on the screen like bullet points.
in my mind it need redoing
Looks like Bushveld Energy website has had a revamp or am I the last one to notice it.
