Thank you Ophidian. Appreciate it
Ophidian - I appreciate your comments on both this and NCYT board. Keep it up. Nice to hear you have a positive opinion over there too.
@James2k66 - as at this time(just after midnight) no one over there has yet managed a correct explanation of events and consequences. I warned them not to be rude - now they miss out. You'll be fine.

oh i know, its painful to read. I have got a small amount of 'gambled' cash in there though, :)
AHH... Misread then... If you look at their board today a lot of comedy, flapping and panicky investors.... I say investors in the loosest sense... Lot of gamblers their
erm, i'm asking neither.
Just if Ophidian could expand on what he meant in his post.
If you are asking what they do.. go ask on their BB.
If you are asking who is invested... Not relevant on this board
Do me a favour and explain it in Janet and John terms for the few bmn guys who are actually in ncyt too? Please? :)
On your post I had a wee peek Ophidian... Very funny.... And some of those clowns get the words 'investor' and 'gambler' mixed up
Put a good smile on my face.
Now for an old fashioned 35mm film Casablanca tonight... Ice cream and a glass of wine at the reel change... Lurvely
So funny to watch the NCYT board devouring itself without anyone to explain in Janet and John terms what todays announcement means. If that was this board there would be so much reliable well researched info shared for everyone. Bushwackers , do we know how lucky we are to have such a great board here.
Ophidian
MIK,
It is easy to blame a culture regarding what they eat.
Well we eat eggs and years back their was a salmonella epidemic in the UK
So should we not eat eggs
Only two things with four legs that they won’t eat
Tables and chairs.
Visited a meat market in Hanoi last year. 6 skinned dead dogs on a chopping block. Reminded me of the movie King Rat about POWs during the Second World War in Changi prison, Singapore.
Unfortunately Man will eat any animal.
Some stats....
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-age-sex-demographics/
@MIKINAMAN - any animal that can weaponise Hair will have no problems with a bit of Bio warfare. #ThePangolinsAreComming and this time they mean business...…..
If people stop eating the likes of Pangolins this virus may never have crossed over to humans !!!

The media with their sensational headlines are causing the general public to panic a bit.
But in my experience I've seen people panic more over losing a few quid then a life threatening
Situation.
Scaring the masses into adopting basic hygiene procedures as we are seeing with sanitisers, facemasks etc vanishing of the shop shelves and general education for containment early doors, is Imo not a bad thing.
Complete overreaction by the media. We have these pandemics every few years, some worse than others. They always fizzle out because countries take good health measures , and this is no different. Media want to sell stories and public fear sells stories. Yes, it can be a potentially bad virus but only a small percentage have died....and if you break it down further, most who have died have been elderly or poor health. This will blow over soon and the markets will rise quickly
The current situation reminds me of the time of the strike, the sp dropped from 30ish to 19. Once
the strike had finished the sp rapidly regained the 30p and then went on to record highs. I think that
the same could happen once the corona panic is out of the way.
I believe the worry is that we have flu vaccinations for the flu and we take no special steps to prevent infected people going about there daily business and spreading it.
The Coronavirus has a mortality rate 20 times greater and we are doing everything we can to isolate people when a new case is found. If the authorities let it run its course through the world population then the impact of a virus we have no vaccine for and is 20 times deadlier than flu would become more apparent. And it wouldn’t be pretty.
Another causal effect of globalisation, mass global travel and social media and unregulated press...
gambit - hopefully not ALL the cyvlists
Well on the bright side the results from all the cyclists should be back this morning and if all clear hopefully should be able to get back into my hotel :-)
It has come and it will go. It will take some with it. The elephant in the room is always population. We are supposed to be an ethical Company helping to reduce climate change. And indeed we are. But losing a few billion people in planetary terms would undoubtedly be a good thing.
Nobody wants to admit it but there are too many people on the planet. None of which changes the fact that we have to move to non- polluting sustainable energy.
VRFB'S will have a percentage of this market. I personally think it will dominate it but even a small percentage will be be huge. We are not a bit player. We are a market leader in every aspect from mining the source to getting Bob or Abdul to tighten the screws on the casing.
If you are not invested here you are a moron.
All in my opinion of course.
