Don't get the point of starting the thread ...planning permission has been granted and the build approved ,the money's there to build it ... ITS GOING TO BE BUILT end of ,I dont care if there's a porta loo on site or not.take a break ,relax
Sometimes a bit of debate is healthy and should not be feared. Let's all get along as the same fact can be viewed differently from different angles...ultimately someone will be wrong but does it really matter as long as everyone has the same end in sight?
It's been a great few days, hoping for more to follow
Just hope Zerohedges black swan was a mis-sighting :)
Telling someone they should have a holiday and take a step back from BMN when they have literally benefitted from those same relentless and freely shared efforts is nothing more than a very low blow. It's a shame to see.
I assume everyone who liked that post has never been on TBP or followed the freely provided trade analysis. It'd be pretty disingenuous to have used the resources and then hit the like button. But then people love an anonymous cheap shot round these parts.
Great to see a rise the last couple of days. Onwards and upwards.
Ha ha .. how gentlemanly... A cad and bounder .....
Somehow just a civilised 'f You lol
Also is there any evidence that 60938 is currently allocated to Bushveld and part of their works?
Could it be the impingement into 60936 is a side effect from 60938 construction to give plant machinery somewhere to park during that phase?
Jesus, patronising much?
Alfa there is no misrepresentation here. The bottom left corner of zone 1a, the area designated in the tender document is green on the current satellite imagery. I am sorry you cannot accept that. The tender appears un-awarded at this time and construction of the plant has not started.
Far from "copy and pasting" I pasted the exact links I had open in my browser this morning. Believe it or not, makes no difference.
I honestly believe you need to take a step back from BMN as it clearly has you wound up extremely tight that you see conspiracy where there really isn't any. After all you are supposed to be on a family holiday yet are spending it here - take a break and relax.
Hey and guess what I’ve block you too you lying ******* :-)
I see no reason to provide you with information that you simply misrepresent - you clearly viewed the image that I posted on twitter on the 24th December showing the work onsite at Elidz and have today misrepresented that site as ‘greenfield’ furthermore you simply copied and posted all the references that I provided after having insinuated that I didn’t know which plot was the BE one. You sir are a liar and a bounder.
Wow and now you have blocked me on twitter also Alfa. I thought you were a bigger man than that. Clearly you see conspiracy where none exists.
I guess I can look forward to starting to have my posts reported here as well then now I am out of favour.
Anyway as I hold no grudges, best of luck with your investments in future.
My understanding from an earlier post by BBN was that the tender process for the build is underway and expected to be completed around April. The actual build follows which I think was estimated at 6+ months. The plant is expected to be operational around the end of Q4 2020 or more likely Q1 2021. .
As far as I'm concerned the 'building' of any such commercial operation starts with sourcing a suitable building site and encompasses everything through to the point at which the first batch rolls off the production line...
Once the tender has been finalised and contracts awarded to the various parties then ground breaking should follow, the construction etc etc.
These two phases should move along relatively quickly and once water tight then again internal fit out and equipment deliveries/installations again should move along at a pace.
Building is an all encompassing term in my book...
If you buy a building plot and someone asks you what's that for? you'd probably say something on the lines.. I'm building a house on it even though you might still not have actually broken ground...
You can also keep an eye on the official ELIDZ map here: https://www.elidz.co.za/the-elidz-from-above/
The square in question is the bottom left of Zone 1A.
Bushveld doesn't currently show as a tenant on the site but no doubt will later this year.
@alfa thanks for the links so that people can view and make their own mind up. To be honest I have little recollection a discussion in December but this is how I found the site today if anyone wants to follow the same path:
Download the tender document here: https://www.bushveldenergy.com/tenders/
Page 13 says "The project is located at site 60936, East London Industrial Development Zone".
I checked the map here: https://www.nda.agric.za/doaDev/sideMenu/fisheries/03_areasofwork/Aquaculture/AquacultureInvestmentPolicyDialogue/ELIDZ%20Sites.pdf
Then used this site to view various satellite images of the location: https://eos.com/landviewer
You have to register to view the closest images but it is a good site for keeping an eye on progress. You can draw a square of interest then save it for later use. You can view up to 10 images per day. Some images aren't very clear, taken low resolution, at night, with lots of cloud etc but each image is previewed on the right side of the screen. When you click on an image (as soon as you click it uses one of your daily credits) it is then overlaid on the map (it may take a couple of minutes for this).
'underway' can mean the planning and tender stage .. does not have to mean diggers on the site
Furthermore, you can hear Fortune state "We are building an electrolyte manufacturing facility in East London" at 3mins 42 secs on the interview which was posted yesterday (MRA exclusive at Mining Indaba). I would take that to mean that this is already underway otherwise he would surely have chosen different words.
Well I believe my comment was that not a brick had been laid. Despite claims to the contrary that appears to be correct. There is no deliberate misrepresentation of any facts here - the plant is not currently under construction. Anyone can view the images and decide for themselves.
As for being "booted" out of a twitter group I guess you have to ask loudspeaker who decided to block me rather than engage in debate. The actions of one have unfortunately cut me off from the avenue of private discussion with the group so now I can only comment here. I have my suspicions as to the true reason behind it but it is what it is.
"duplicitous actor" is a strange comment to make to be honest. I have long championed BMN and will continue to do so as I feel appropriate. I will also continue to raise anything I feel is pertinent to my own investment which remains ongoing.
anyone who wishes to check this for themselves can see that 60936 is clearly stated as the site in the Bushveld Energy tender document here:- https://www.bushveldenergy.com/tenders/
Then you can confirm what I have stated wrt to the location by looking at the map here:- https://www.nda.agric.za/doaDev/sideMenu/fisheries/03_areasofwork/Aquaculture/AquacultureInvestmentPolicyDialogue/ELIDZ%20Sites.pdf
Finally you can check the Sentinel satellite imagery by following the video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhbwrbRjmOI
impinges into 60936 of course
If you look very carefully SotRR you will see that there has been a triangular area cleared which impinges into 60938 plus a clear square area that has been cleared which abuts the Ikhala road. This work has all been done since the 13th of November as you can obviously now check for yourself by comparing the Sentinel L2 images for that day as well.
It is your deliberate misrepresentation of basic facts like this that has caused you to be booted out of the Twitter group devoted to pursing the complaint with the FCA. You are clearly now a duplicitous actor.
That's the one in Zone 1A, strange that an image taken on February 11th by Sentinel-2 L2A shows that green.
There is some work next door in 60938 but the tender location looks very green to me.
This puts it at the precise junction of the Ikhala and Umsimbithi roads as anyone with access to google maps can see here:-
https://www.google.com/maps/place/East+London,+South+Africa/@-33.0585146,27.8537568,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x1e66e6fc26098303:0x62b7d874cc1a1b9f!8m2!3d-33.0291582!4d27.8545867
SoTRR - yes it is ELIDZ site number 60936, which is next to 60938 and 60935
Are you sure you are looking in the right place Alfa, the ELIDZ map cross referenced with the tender location says otherwise.
I would be happy to post a picture here but unfortunately that isn't supported. The other avenue to post a picture has been cut off to me.
As well you know SoTRR the 23rd December satellite image shows work going on on the site. As does the earlier satellite image that shows an access has been cleared from the other road that borders the East London electrolyte plant site.
