9. cont Dolly Mokgattle had brought to the company. There is so much going on behind the scenes and this was just brief glimpse. For interest its worth noting we now have a New plant engineer at Bushveld Energy.
Numpty I certainly was not looking to row with you, but to follow on, to say its BMN question for dummies for someone who has not ever heard of Bushveld and that there is no extra info within the interview quite frankly does not give the interview the justice it deserves.
You have to remember that with Bushveld over its growth journey to where it sits now it has been a been a very rich story and that to try and convey all the relevant information and structure to someone who is new looking in be it private or professional is challenging at best- To address this it was clearly evident that their was clear shift tactic with a clear well laid out presentation, highlighting all the key attributes of the business, which I think even the most knowledgable investors on here would appreciate.
As for no extra information, well for a start:
1. Slide 1 : Between October 30th - November 2nd Bushveld management share holding grew 2.62% - 2.75% by 1.5 million shares demonstrating management have been buying in!
2. Slide 1 : also list the top 5 institutional investors.
Ivestico and performance 2.56%
Oppenheimer funds 0.72%
Raymond Jones investment 0.32%
Canaccord GWM 0.2%
Fil invest 0.18%
3. stationary energy storage is expected to increase from 17gwh to 2850 gwh with long duration playing the key role perfect for VRFB
4. Unlike all other battery types it is not necessary to build a giga factory in order to attain rapid expansion growth.
5. On the Flexible and integrated asset base slide.
Although touched on briefly in the proactive interview with Katy the other day Fortune clearly went into greater detail on how flexible all the platforms are from taking materials from vametco or Vanchem to process.
6. On the same slide it shows that not only will mokapane have the facility to supply ore to Vanchem but that it will also supply magnetic concentrate to Vanchem therefore bypassing the screening milling and concentration process and going straight to extraction and refining process which ultimately results in less time, lower cost and higher output.
7.Fortune mentioned that going forward in ref to secondary production around the world, all the steel mills are pretty much now at full capacity with no extra facility for more vanadium to be produce and that when iron prices start to rise that the steels will be blended more with hermatite ore resulting again in less vanadium **** produced.
8. In excess of 700$ million to build a processing facility for 8400 tonnes (with max efficiency 10000MTV)
9. Now employing 750 staff!! this clearly shows what a tour de force the Bushveld empire has become, for all those who think its just Fortune and Mikhail playing along the old vandium and VRFB route are utterly mistaken, there are an incredible amount of cogs behind this watch face, for example Fortune mentioned how much value Michael Kirkwood an
Thanks B.
@Halespur.
No need to wait any longer. Crux interview.

A reminder of the potential of Mokopane:
http://www.bushveldminerals.com/mokopane-vanadium-project-2/
The elephant in the room here has to be Mokopane. With demand set for 2,850 Gwh of BESS there must be talks ongoing with interested parties for off-take agreements/financing?
Waiting for the Crux interview as this is where the real questions are normally asked.
Great interview for anyone unfamiliar with Bushveld, which is the target audience I would hope. Not much new but more comprehensive in ways and well delivered. Lets see what Monday brings, another domino due I believe.
Gambit, I'm not looking for a row mate. The figure touted for a Greenfield processing plant has always been 300m. I can't recall any figures on how much that could process but it has always been suggested at that price for a Vametco equivalent. Which, if memory serves me right (which in itself would be a miracle at this time on a Friday night) we virtually stole from Abramovich for 11m and the inventory meant we virtually got it for free.
A new plant is gonna have to be a lot bigger than 8400mtv to meet the cumulative world demand !
Aye the proof in the pudding will come in the next few months so not long to wait. The main drive for this expansion will be VRFB uptake and large scale contracts.
So you knew it would cost 700 million $ for a greenfield site in order to produce 8400 tonnes????
I certainly did not
Been following Bushy for a few years now and knew a greenfield site would cost 300m dollars to set up in Mokopane.
The surprising comment was $700m dollars plus for something producing 8400mtV. If he can pull this off for $200m-$250m dollars or so with even some dilution, you can guess the market cap is going to be well north of this. This is before we consider stakes in ATM, Lemur, Invinity, Enerox bringing additional cash in.
Hopefully Mokopane/Brits will be also bringing in additional revenue as offtake/standalone mines at some point hence I will keep BMN in my SIPP for 20 years even if it is just a small proportion of holdings. We all know what the big hitters can do over a decade or two just as mines never mind vertically integrated energy storage companies....
gambit. Fair comment on employee numbers, I didn't know that. But if you didn't know the rest you haven't been paying attention.
Well Numpty I have to disagree, that was a very well laid out presentation that did tell us all a lot more information, for example how much it would cost to do greenfield from scratch for Vanchem/vametco equivalent, how many people we employed then and now, info on management, it also reached out more about the morals of the company so to say we didn’t learn more is just misleading.
NYC. Can't in all honesty say I agree. Potted history and a small slice of where we are headed. No more assertive than usual. Mainly down to the 'BMN for dummies' questions. Might be good for anyone who hasn't heard of us but didn't tell anybody here anything they didn't know.
Faramog - not sure if you follow them on LinkedIn but it is on there also.
nope .. not website icon on my laptop either .. even logged into my DB account ... ahh well
There was a significant change with that interview. He laid out all his management thinking. Confidence was backed up by a new assertiveness. Very impressive
there should be a play button in the middle of the screen faramog
well .. none visible and moved the mouse everywhere on the DB page .. just no download option .. oh well
thanks for finding this. this presentation clearly shows the task ahead to grow production through growth of facilities and upgrade, and we know that finance is in place from Orion. As cashflow improves and demand for product improves the growth plan should unfold at an increasing pace.
Fara, click on go to website icon below it :-)
gambit - yes a good interview, he reminded us all that Energy Storage is set to increase by 122x in the next to decades. That is not 122% but rather 12,200%
Given that VRFBs make up a very small fraction of the installed energy storage it would appear that VRFB storage could well increase by rather more than 12,000%
