Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Largo - one of only 3 primary Vanadium producers outside of China - only have a mine life of 6- 7 years ?
Goodness me. "Group" is not Vametco. Group is Vametco + Vanchem. Do we really have to discuss Bushveld 101? You're here for such a long time and don't understand the most basic numbers.
We will be at 5000T pa by the end of the year, so what are you moaning about considering two years of covid and the transport disruption it caused. If you had kept up to date, you would have seen that money meant for Vametco was targeted at Vanchem, which we own 100%. Keep up to date.
I'll shoot you down all day. Well tomorrow - Bye!
In 2018 Vametco was not doing more than 1500t
Hey Alf – From last production RNS –
“- Q1 2022 Group production of 972 mtV, one per cent higher than Q4 2021 of 962 mtV”
That’s 3888 T pa currently - So target was actually surpassed.
Keep up mate!
Ben,
Bushveld Vanadium = Vametco + Vanchem. This is how they break out production figures for many quarters now. Have a look at any recent operational update and you'll find this confirmed.
AFAICS Vametco stated capacity is 3750mtV per annum since summer of 2018. Vanchem is in addition to this, ca. 900mtV per annum up until now, increasing to 2600mtV per annum by the end of 2022 by ramping up kiln 3.
Chris,
The market is shot too bits for dependable players, for someone like BMN who have missed targets and have a large background seller is going to get penalised.
If you believe the future is Vanadium and the BOD will / have improved then it is another decent buying opportunity.
Even if what you were saying was true, even if BMN had failed to hit their targets in the past, does that render them valueless now? Does the recent improvement count for nothing? Does the acknowledgement that targets must be achievable going forward and still we are expected to produced 4300mtV this year and be on a runrate of 5200mtV by the end of the year count for nothing? Are BMN, a company with assets worth well in excess of today's market cap and one of the only primary producers of a very important (and growing in importance) metal uninvestable now because some targets weren't met in the past?
Now SP has dropped below 9p you'll never get rid of him now, until it goes up high enough again.
As you might know, they break out the numbers separately. Vametco capacity 3750mtVpa, Vanchem ~900mtVpa, to be pu to 2600mtVpa by the end of 2022. So, Vametco sales fell short of Vametco capacity by 25% on average as I said.
You are 4 years out of date, You know they bought Vanchem just after that, so plans change! keep up as I said before.

3750mtV since 2018! Do you homework before accusing others.
Alf – show me where BMN said they would have Vametco up to full capacity by this date?
Going up a gear alfredh? Target short in the 8's?
Sadly there a lot to moan about
Eskom can't be brought into play as they have no orders
Oh did they, really?
Vametco output during the last 4 quarters was 63%, 82%, 75%, 80% of stated capacity. That's an average shortfall of 25%. A prime example of "over-promise and under-deliver" that keeps pushing the share price lower and lower.
How about the mini-grid? Financial close was expected before the end of 2021. During the Q1 call Fortune stated they were still waiting for financial close and thre was no update ever since. This means financial close still did not occur thus the project remains stalled. Cellcube lists the Bushveld mini-grid as "to be commissioned during Q2-2022". There is just no way this id going to happen! So, how exactly is this "on time and on budget"?
I suspect the mini grid and the electrolyte plant timetable is based on the ESKOM awards. BMN will probably commission the plant with their mini grid requirements. Being in South Africa and you have already seen how long it has taken them to get this far, I suggest patience is all you have, unless you want to turn into another one of the moaners here.
Has everyone forgotten that we have been making over 100% profit on our margins this year?
Don't mention that, last time I brought up about timescales I was told to be patient!
IDC holding back finance. BMN ready to proceed otherwise AFAIK.
Never on time
What about the mini grid?
A lot of work and money to get up to full capacity. They want to get there in a couple more years according to stated plans. If kiln 3 is commissioned then they are on track to current plan. Keep up to date.
Hey trick cyclist re: 1 & 2) - I thought they had done that over the last year and a half.
You talk phish.......... IMO
Often times I hear the company just had to issue more news releases, "improve communication" to get the share price going. IMO this is utter rubbish. First of all, why would the company hold back good news from being published if there was any? Secondly, in order to communicate, you simply have to have something to communicate first, other than meaningless blather. IMO one press release per quarter would suffice if that press release would tell the world Bushveld is actually delivering on its promises meaning
1. output was in reasonable vicinity of stated capacity
2. projects were advancing on time and on budget.
Unfortunately the company misses on both fronts for quite some time now and as long as this remains the case, even a bombardment of meaningless RNSs won't make up for these operational missteps.
Lost nearly 50% in less than 3 months. On the back of higher V prices. I know we have a seller but the SP performance is really disappointing. We need something to stop the rot.
