I've been asking same question recently Knuttie.
I do think the large amount of pi's makes us an easy target, the vandium price obviously played its part too. Does that suggests the whole company value is based on vanadium prices? Im sure the rest will come in time.
one other thing, Bushy never really has massive spikes even on really good news (and we have had some) so maybe that minimises the loss for the shorters out there.
i am holding and buying where i can but i think it could take a little longer to get back to those dizzy heights.
i have mentioned before that a little more p.r from the co may help (yes i know its not their m.o).
Please everyone stay safe out there, lots of family it Italy that are really struggling now as they are 3 weeks in to lockdown.
Bushy will survive and be stronger at the other side too.

Over the many years of holding BMN I like many others have seen my investment drop in value by over £800k. A lot of paper money I could never have imagined when I first found this share having bought in at rock bottom prices which was a huge gamble at the time. I have sold down from 2 million shares to 1.5 million shares over the years, a new car, some wonderful holidays, some cash for the children and grandchildren at Christmas and of course my wifes hairdressing bills. I am sure many LTH PIs have done the same.
On the LSE board I have seen some of the best researched input by people far more cleverer than myself. Wave theorists have come and gone, pond life have come from under their stones and have tried to damage many people financially, MMs have done what they are paid to do - no guesses what that is. Posters have asked we should never respond to pond life and when they are attacked they respond, its human nature I guess, and of course there has been some great wit. Many PIs invested at 40p plus have left losing a lot of money. It is easy for me to say this, having made some good rewards myself with Bushy, but I truly feel for them having myself been in the identical situation when first investing in shares some 40 years ago.
Everyone may be saying why did I not sell at 48p. Well I sold some at 30p, which was my original exit strategy, in order to enjoy the rewards mentioned above. I never had this vast amount of paper money totally converted back into cash. I also never ever had this kind of money in my lifetime. So to use some of the terms my golfing pals and I say when we end up in the clubhouse "If only I had....." and "what if I had...." and of course the answer is alway "what is on your card because thats the result". Currently the result is around 8p to 9p.
Everyone must make their own mind up on what to do in this awful moment. Many holders may not return to full employment for some time so they have to sell.
I truly hope the harm this virus brings to families, friends and total strangers will not last long term but strongly believe a new world beckons. What that will look like is anyones guess. Let us hope it is a brave one.
Stay strong people.
Thats the way I see it ....and a very fair assumption...all eyes on the US jobless claims today, it could be brutal.
Alfa I think your not far off there, or for the conspiracy theorists someone (maybe Mr. Musk) wants us to fail!!
Knuttie, why us? Isn't that obvious ? We are very very desirable.
I still don’t understand how increasing output at Vametco and the purchase of vanchem didn’t in some capacity counter the reduction in v price. Plus the brits resource and the mining licence and the electrolyte deals. Oh well, still got the number of shares I want and believe will pay handsomely in the future.
Suppose the people that were hoodwinked out of their shares on the way down at 40p 30p etc ,probably look on me as a fool, sat here on 70% + loss, but I believe in the story and believe it will come good, but watching the same pattern develop most days is difficult.
compliant and market maker !!!!! hmmmm!
Also the Vanadium price dropped 80% since highs but you would still expect to be in the mid 20's if there was no disproportionate driving down with so much news.
Today I have seen a share increase 300% so hopefully our time will come.
knuttie - there is another possibility that raises it's head from the points that you have so correctly made.
It could simply be an institutional investor that has told a market maker that they want their help to build as large a stake as possible. Drive the price down, freak out the amateur private investor's, pay a few no hopers to have a bash on the bulletin boards and hey presto you can go from a million pounds worth of shares at 10.3p (10M shares) up to 50p sell down for months at an average price of 35p, then nab yourself 35 Million at less than 10p a share. Let the price rise to where it should be and they could be looking at 35Million quids worth, all for a starting stake of 1M.
The only thing that this strategy really needs to work is a compliant Market Maker and a shareholder base that can be played for fools.
I would tend to agree with you knuttie, they want a big slice of the pie and think we will buckle??!! No chance!!! Not parting with my bushies until when the buyout happens :-)
I have been asking myself , why us? We have basically been hammered for 12 months + so why is that? How are we different? All I can come up with is the fact we don’t really have an institutional investor base of significance. We have a huge army of pis & I can only conclude that the MM’s have targeted us as easy pickings. Any views?
Largo up over 6% and JSE up over 5%
Seems everything is bouncing apart from us. :-(
Yes.. then rinse & repeat... Lot of money to be made trading the next few months
FTSE and Dow Jones both continuing their moves up.
